What's this guy's deal? What problem does he have with @FROG?

Ethan promised to help Preston with no intention of following through and then he mocked Preston for being a sucker.

High school stuff.

Preston changed his marketing angle from pro-CG to fuck CG and he's been selling comics with limited success by doing exposes or otherwise antagonizing Ethan and his fan club.

Preston's got money so he doesn't care. I think it's all a bit of a joke to him but he really doesn't like Ethan.

What's this guy's deal? What problem does he have with @FROG?
Finding few CGers interested in sharing their platform for his WW2 coomer comic, Preston Poulter found his own twist on the Comicsgate business model by adopting their practices with the added twist of using them to shit on Comicsgate.

DC plans to start shipping to a few states soon. Batman #92 has been delayed until June which tells you that full distribution will (at best) resume then.

Isn't he thread banned? Something about "trying to curate a YouTube army".
He can still be reached through PM or in the hangers-on thread. I'm pretty sure he wrote why he was threadbanned in that thread, but it boiled down to self promotion, shitting up threads, and most of all being a gigantic faggot.

Welp, it appears Warcampaign finally flew a little too close to the Human Sunbeam, who has declared that any future debates over the merits of Anna's cover or Malin's platform can be filed through him as advocate. And a not too subtle reminder that while Warcampaign might be a "customer advocacy group consisting of fans", their ringleaders were baited into declaring themselves "creators" for the purposes of debating/dunking on Jon Malin. And a CG creator can have that status revoked.

So that puts an end to open hostilities for the great WC Spedfest Civil War of 2020, lest their wings start to melt.

One of the more interesting stories was CG's answer to Trashcan Man, Sketch Therapy, who went on a wild character arc of breaking his years-long conditioning in WC's thrall to stand by Malin, superchatting his last $72 dollars to EVS to plead his case against being exiled and shunned by his friends, tempted with redemption by Panboy and then finally being sort-of-adopted by Jon Malin and invited to suppress his rage and take part in a formal debate with a professional comic book retailer on the state of the industry, which, uh, whatever. It was actually kind of a sweet and wholesome ending of people in CG standing by and looking out for those who need help.

Liam Gray and his incredibly obscure channel decided to start meddling in other Comicsgaters business to fill out boring livestreams and set off a barrage of nuclear-grade autism and humiiation on display of formerly respected figures, direct interventions from EVS, finally culminating in most CG figures refusing invitations to the show after three episodes. While the bloodsports conflict resolutions have mellowed to a level that will probably allow Comicsgate to continue to exist, the channel is now thoroughly established as the place to go to watch CG tardfights.

Edit: I'll crosspost my summary of the latest stream as a fair representation:

WC leader Panboy showed up on Liam's stream demanding Malin and Cecil appear to get beaten up online and have take their Comicsgate license away and if they didn't there was going to the biggest meme war against "Smalin" anyone ever seen. He started rallying the audience of who was in charge of Comicsgate - the pros telling people who to support, or the smaller creators, the little guys? This tantrum went on for 55 minutes until Frog showed up and told him to shut the fuck up and stop annoying customers with this bullshit, causing Panboy to cave immediately and whimper to Daddy about the mean things Cecil said. But Caesar wasn't having any of it. Panboy complied very sullenly, but wanted to make sure Caesar knew he loved him. Cecil appeared in the chat to snicker at what biiiig trouble Panboy and Ro were in now.

Then Ro Kabir showed up full of sugar and adrenaline and started dancing around for Ethan's amusement while going on every tangent possible to avoid the topic of conversation - the rebellion that was crushed 10 minutes in - while Ethan waited for him to tucker himself out. Once finished, Ro promised to continue buying Cecil and Malin's books and to replace Jon Malin's portrait on the Human Cecilpede back to "Man of Sex" (even thought it was already commissioned).

Mags' Vagrant Queen series has been pulled from prime time by SyFy after 3 episodes

This is the best Richard video in a long, long time (just skip the needless Pandemic shilling). You can tell he's reveling in Brian's failure, coming just short of wondering aloud if Brian regrets putting on a Party City wig and parading around like a faggot for four years just so his dream of becoming a Hollywood bigshot could crash and burn after three weeks. Brian Visaggio is like Icarus, but instead of wax wings, its cheap plastic wig melting on his scalp and seeping toxins into his brain.

Mags' Vagrant Queen series has been pulled from prime time by SyFy after 3 episodes

But it was so good. MIKE TYSON WATCHED IT! It had literally hundreds of supporters on it's premier episode on Twitter! D:

In other rants:
It's interesting how easily WC showed just how rotton they were, and finally it hit close enough home to wake up Cecil and Malin. Of course, little too late. Didn't WC support Mandy and her Wart the Wizard campaign which had to be about the worst one from CG? At least on a basic level. The art was phenomenally terrible, at least TUG hired a decent artist in Keung.

When you really look at the basics of what the "argument is" Anna isn't allowed to make something comics related because she didn't outright say "comicsgate" - a few creators CG people have promoted haven't said "Comicsgate" outright, and crickets. It was always under the impression that you could choose to not support them if they weren't """"Le ComicsGate"""". Well, now it seems if they don't say it, they are a carpetbagger, and should be ridiculed and torn down and not supported even by that person's friends. her cover is bad, but that's where it should end.

WC loves to hide behind the 'we ARE the fans' and while that applies to 95% of them, it does not apply to Gat, and Ro because as far as I know, they are the two involved most directly with Vestige. Ro lost his metaphorical ability to act like a tit when he put his name on the campaign, set up the funding tube and put his show's logo on the backside. Or does this mean he plans on sharing the money with all of the people claiming to be 'WC'? Did they have input on the book? Or are they just the chat who never gets to have a place in the limelight because they weren't part of Ro's little buddy group?

They are creators, and they have been since Vestige showed up, and it's about time these people finally started treating them like it, because the shit they get away with would not have been tolerated, and hasn't been, for less.

I admire his perseverance but even if he went crawling back to CG and was accepted by Ethan, the backers themselves will always see him as an enemy.

Ironically CG has a bigger line of cancel culture going on than the so-called SJWs.

I was asked to clarify a few things so I will:

I did not start LIFE WITH LIAM for click bait or to create CG BLOODSPORTS. Rather, the series began organically as daily updates about XENOTYPE and a way of interacting with the community.

I was told I needed to build a platform so I began making daily content. I am not a performer, I become nervous on camera and so I did not have confidence I would be supported or platformed by the larger channels. Then after 23-24 episodes my co-host and I delved into the Malin issue because it had been such a large point of conversation in the community.

For nearly two years I've been trying to help other creators, train new talent and better the #ComicsGate community. The call-in show was simply me taking what I have been doing (albeit more successfully) for 2-4 years in private and doing it in public. Just with more explosive results than anticipated.

The show was not created because I had a shrinking audience, in fact my audience had significantly increased and my humble channel had gone from 3-7 regulars to about 20 active members appearing in each show.

I split LIFE WITH LIAM into two shows, calling the "bloodsport" show "LIVE WITH LIAM" and re-branded it as a way for creators or fans within the community with grievances to come on and talk things through rather than being dependent upon twitter. It may have been naive and my "video" skills as a mediator might not be on par as my "real life" skills but I do my best.

Regarding my home address in the Hunter Valley:
I have three homes. I am currently located in SOUTH GRAFTON in the projects. The other acreage I have in the Clarence Valley is infected with the Parvo Virus which could prove lethal to my other dogs if I continued to house them at that location. I will be returning home as soon as the property can be treated (which will not be in the foreseeable future). If anyone is in the Grafton area, I would be happy to meet with you. I have nothing to hide.

Regarding the accusations that I "Beat My Mother":
The charges of violence being ferried around are for one: "Liam Cameron Gray" and that is not my name. I have never struck a woman in my life. I have video of the alleged victim attesting to my innocence. It was collected with the assistance of the police to be used in my defence in an up-coming deformation case I have considered perusing. The video will be made public following the case.

Regarding the accusations that I "Murdered Puppies":
The seven puppies that contracted parvo survived and are alive and well. They have since been re-homed and are now with new families living happily. I have never beaten, harmed a dog or any animal. I was (to my shame) a vegan and a member of Peta for most of my teen years. I am a big animal lover and would never harm one. The reason I parted ways with Peta was due to the way they executed rescues. These accusations are entirely fabricated.

Finally, I realise to many of you I am a fool and an idealist. But I am doing my best to help my team succeed in an industry that is collapsing. I believe in the messages of #ComicsGate. I want to try to make it work.

I am not here for internet fame, clout or because I think I will get rich doing this.

I hope these answers are sufficient. If there are people here that have not yet picked up XENOTYPE it is available now on indieGOGO for 11 more days. Thank you for your time and consideration.

-L.

WC is a large group, and many of them do have talents that apply in comics creation. And so, more than just those two are involved in CG projects. Warts and all, WC are also one of the folks that most actively push smaller creators in the limelight and tirelessly promote CG projects (especially less known ones). I hope they get their shit together, and start behaving more like creators and serious promoters than 24/7 LARPers. Because they are better and more respected as the former than the latter. I'm curious how things will go with the launch of CGJUMPSTART, a comic magazine like project where newbie creators can debut some projects or show previews of up & coming ones etc.

Brain Hibbs (San Fransico comic retailer) lost his shit on facebook due to DCs decision to re start some deliveries.

So, here's an attempt to help explain why @DC is making all of the wrong moves with their latest announcement. I especially hold Jim Lee DC, DC's current publisher, accountable for this. Hank, Nancy, I also have to call you out here. You three are the visible leadership. Time to answer this.
1) Most of the country is shut down, and WILL NOT be ready to open on the date of 4/28 that DC says they'll be shipping comics again. In San Francisco, we're at a minimum of first week of May, and I'm fairly certain we won't be allowed to open to walk-in business without semi-extreme rules until well into June.
2) DC, itself, is in Burbank California, and they're not able to go into the offices themselves.... again, probably well into June, and, again, there will probably be significant rules in place from California about who can do what and when and how -- possibly mandatory temperature checks, etc. The *notion* that they're expecting us to be "open" when *they* aren't is horrifying to me.
3) The "distributors" that DC has picked are NOT. It is Midtown and DCBS, the #1 & #2 *retailers* of comics. These are COMPETITORS to the overwhelming majority of Direct Market retailers. There is nothing in place to protect competition, there's no guarantee of sales or (more importantly) payment-terms.
4) We've been given FOUR DAYS to set up accounts and get right with our new Overlords (being in Cali, we're "assigned" to DCBS.) Sorry, you can't unleash an entire new way of doing comics in that short of a time span. I have genuine and serious questions about being forced to do business with an entity that I personally consider a "bad actor" in comics, and to hand them key business documents like my resale license. Where's our contract?
5) Margins are shitty enough that making a profit in comics retail is pretty hard to begin with, and everything is magnified and multiplied when all you can do it mail order. It's even harder for me in SF, where my cost-of-rent and cost-of-labor are considerably higher than most of my peers. I've been doing the best mail order I can (probably pretty shitty) from https://comix-experience.myshopify.com/, but the BEST CASE HERE is that I am working three times as hard, for no more than one third of the revenue. And that's with $20 graphic novels being the primary thing we're doing. I absolutely, positively, in no way can *profitably* sell $4 periodicals via mail order -- that's not the business we are in.
Please, understand, I've got the credit card info and (emphatic) permission-to-charge from most of our pre-order customers... but without the walk-in, this is IN NO WAY enough cash flow to even pay for the labor to handle it. Let alone COGS, let alone rent and utilities, etc.
And that's assuming that everything goes PERFECTLY... which, History has already told us, IT ABSOLUTELY WON'T
6) DC is asking us to ABANDON Diamond. They claim they've "cancelled all orders" (though, honestly, can they even do that?), and that we have to buy from Midtown and DCBS. Diamond and Steve Geppi specifically have acted as the "bank" of the Direct Market, saving and protecting the great mass of retailers again and again and again.. Do I have some problems with DCD's operation? Sure: I'd be an idiot not to -- but on the balance they've done more to preserve DM retailers than ANYONE EVER, so "walking away" from them in this time of challenge is completely entirely a non-starter for me
ESPECIALLY FOR DCBS. Are you crazy? They are literally our enemy. Why not ask Amazon to distribute to us?
7) The very notion of changing to a Tuesday release is pure "fuck you" to the channel that, I'm pretty damn sure is two-thirds of the mechanism of their cash-flow.
8) They could have not chose a more half-ass and broken way of releasing comics -- the ONLY way to make money doing periodicals is to depend on the "economies of scale". Just WRITING THE ORDER for the five comics nomatively on-sale on 4/28 would cost me more money than I could ever hope to realize from them. That wouldn't even begin to account my costs to receive those books, the labor to handle sub, the additional new labor to send those books out.....Same for the following three weeks.
9) And what about the SHIPPING COSTS on this tiny slate of garbage? If it's more than "free", then our already low margins are shot to shit
I REMEMBER HEROES WORLD -- the COSTS of doing business with a fraction of the sales of a universal distributor makes it so you can NOT sell that line profitably for most retailers.
9a) I STOPPED RACKING MARVEL COMICS DURING HEROES WORLD, AND MY SALES WENT UP
(this
10) Seriously? This is your "re-launch" slate? DAPHNE BYRNE, THE DREAMING, second prints, and some Wal-Mart comics? What the serious fuck is wrong with you DC? YOU HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO REDEFINE DC FOR THE NEXT DECADE, and your choice is clear out the pile of mediocrity the editors have already committed to? SERIOUSLY? You having that little faith in what DC can be says more to me than almost anything else.
11) If they do this, my only possible response can be "well, I guess most new DC periodicals are subs only". This will cut ~60% of their sales at Comix Experience, forever. Listen: every single copy of HAWKMAN or JUSTICE LEAGUE ODYSSEY, and probably upwards of ninety percent of their output that I order for the rack is a PURE GIFT TO DC COMICS. I've LONG THOUGHT I should stop subsidizing Marvel and DC's excess for, realistically, something like 90% of thier output.... and you actually want to give me a clean, simple and actionable reason? REALLY?
12) In even the best possible world (and we're not -- this is a DARK timeline, yo), mainstream superhero comics are supported by the faith of the retailers on the balance. Is your faith in DCBS and Midtown so absolute? IS IT REALLY?
13) The business model of Midtown and DCBS is largely based on massive discounts, and undercutting the asking price of the cover price. Changing that would seem to be a incredibly dangerous idea, in what will almost certainly be lower demand on the other side of this. If you ask me, going the other way with Minimum Asked Pricing (MAP) is the much smarter way to go. The people who are the new "distributor" should not be the people who also sell for 40%+ off. Not if you want to have physical stores representing your output.
14) Non-American accounts are just thrown to the wolves? Really? REALLY?
15) There is no world in which creating "haves" and "have nots" is ever a good idea. #EverEverEverEver
16) I'm calling it now, in terms of how it actually plays out: Heroes World 2: Electric Fuckaloo. Those who do not learn History, etc etc
17) I've learned this last month: I DO NOT WANT TO BE A MAIL ORDER BUSINESS. It is a horror-show, and a low-margin one at that. Just trying to EVEN VAGUELY "compete" with a "free shipping" at $50 means sometimes I'm just giving away 20% or more of my profit on shipping, depending on the size/shape of the books. It is FLATLY impossible to pay RETAIL rent and wages in California, DC's home state, on that velocity and volume. Can't be done.
18) We are not "open". We are not allowed to be "open" in California. Most states that sell the MOST COMICS are not allowed to be open. DC is not allowed to be "open" in California. There is no way for me to legitimately sell comics to anything other that preorders (which sure as fuck should be the minority for any legitimate retailer, if you ask me, if you want "comics" to be here in another decade)). SO WHY IS DC RELEASING COMICS???????????
I'm not on board. In fact, I am so not on board that this would permanently poison my relationship to DC Comics, and impact their long-term sales here unless they change their direction.... not just within my individual store, but everything I can ever do when I interact with both my peers and the consumers I serve.
I would truly regret that.
I have video of the alleged victim attesting to my innocence. It was collected with the assistance of the police to be used in my defence in an up-coming deformation case I have considered perusing. The video will be made public following the case.
More lolsuit threats. Who are you going to be suing for deformation?

1. If you have video evidence of the alleged victim attesting to your innocence, why not just release it now to definitively clear your name?

2. Your proximity and name in relation to the AVO would probably be more than enough for any person to avoid being successfully charged for defamation, not to mention are you aware how suspicious it makes you look by withholding evidence to clear your own name for the purpose of pursuing litigation?

3. Most of your detractors are in the United States, which has far stronger freedom of speech laws than some bumfuck region of Australia. Your legal battle would be extremely expensive, time consuming and ultimately be fruitless. Have you even considered this?

I assume the target of yours would be @PocketJacks since his is a rather well of individual so you could reap some damages and he has reported on your predicament. Preston however is based in Texas and I'm sure is familiar with litigation due to his families history. Personally I don't care either way, watching you blow your Xenotype money on something so stupid will make a great entry into "Last Week in Comicsgate."

Edit: As for you show's format, don't change a thing. Your streams are the best content on youtube regarding Comicsgate at the moment, they've provided no shortage of laughs. Keep going and try and get Pan and Malin to have their sped debate and always bring on Sketch Therapy whenever possible.

They'd probably have a better reputation if they weren't a group of internet tards who glory in shitting on others to compensate for there own massive inadequacies.

They'll have to get past their well documented history of doxxing targets and estranged members, catfishing for dick pics to extort idiots, gay ops, threats, coercion, covering for each others misdeeds, brigading, "gay porno harassment" and the list goes on.

But as long as they retweet small creators who "bend the knee" when told I guess they're a bunch of good eggs, right?

I judge this group by their leadership. Ro who conspired with Renfamous and has been forced to beg forgiveness for multiple gay ops and Pan whose going to trial for online harassment and threats.

I get that the rest of WC shouldn't be judged for what their leaders do but they all seem to love and support that shit.

So fuck 'em with a rusty shovel.

And CGJumpStart sounds like a clusterfuck inside a clusterfuck.

You have a great day Kalibar.

My whole point is that they say they are a large group and no one person speaks for them, except that usually they do. If you don't go along with what the high profile names say, you get booted.

Ro and Gat are the two I know are directly involved with Vestige, but please name the others who are, because they ALL should be held accountable for their actions. Which, by CG standards, are not acceptable.

I agree, they're a rot. But your forgetting the exceptionalism of Malin. This is what these faggots do. They create so much drama. Malin threw a huge hissy fit on twitter, hypocritically closed his channel after his oar nonsense, and dragged people in CG on full YT glory. That's not 'professional'. None of this is. Not Frog getting into slap fights with weirdo autist speds, not supporting harassment campaigns publicly, and not losing your fucking mind over tweets. This is mainstreamer bullshit behavior.

The key take away is god damn frog shutting down this glorious exceptionalism now, after years of encouraging it, because it was hitting too close to home.
This is what upsets me the most, I get the whole Oar thing was exceptional, but damn it, I respected Malin's usual levelheadedness on the surface, all this has done is show me that really, no one in CG with the exception of a small few, are actually giving a shit about the supposed movement they fostered, and not just using it to be just as fucking toxic and retarded as the mainstream they claim to be above.

Ethan loves using the "we are a family, and family fights sometimes" no one fights like this, and if you want to use that fucking logic, then what is the difference between what Cg does and what the retards on Twitter do when they "cancel their own!!!!" It's always "Twitter Puritans EAT THEIR OWN" but when Cg fights over dumb shit like a Vampirella cover, it's just a little family spat.

Liam, have you ever considered pursuing independent comics outside of comicsgate? What is it about comicsgate in particular that you find appealing?

I want you to consider something. What if, and feel free to call me crazy, but what if the problem was never with Tim Lim, Nerkish, Doug, Mike, Edwin, the Wheelers, Mark Pellegrini, Bean, Vikki, etc, but Ethan Van Sciver, the cult of personality surrounding him, and the community he and others have cultivated? I caught your stream today. I heard how Ro spoke to you. I heard how Ethan spoke to you, even if jokingly. None of it sounded particularly rewarding, whether financially or socially.

You've seen the meat grinder of CG. You've seen supposed friends and allies made into villains at the drop of a hat. What is it that makes you think you won’t be next?
