Following up on the rumble in the jungle that was the...debate? by Ethan Van Sciver and Taylor; our own @Mister Dongs wrote up a a brilliantly concise summary of this meeting of titans.
Frog performed a live reading, expressing his sadness that Mr. Dongs may not in fact be laughing black man. He and the panel greatly enjoys the excellent write up that I'd cite to if the site wasn't still fucked up.
Having checked the numbers Taylor presented, even assuming JJM is accurate, the picture is not as rosy. Outside of Venom 35( which was renumbered as Venom 200 and the series was ended at that issue) The only comic to sell over 100,000 units that wasn't a number one or limited series was Batman at just 130,000. Then there are the trades.
Number one is an omnibus of Knights of the Old Republic, a Dark Horse series from 2006, two is Robert Kirkman, three is Stan Lee/Jack Kirby FF from the 60s, four is a tv tie in collection of Kirkman's Invincible from Kirkman's run back in 2003, five is the coffee table Waid book put out a couple of years ago, Six Loki is a television tie-in collecting issues from JMS' Thor run in 2007, Seven is Manga, Eight is a TV continuation, Nine is a throw back mini by PAD and Greg Land set in Amazing Spidey continuity of the 80s?, and Ten is a collection of Conan material from decades ago.
So the only sector of the Mainstream with real growth is trades. The top ten trades are reprints of material from more than ten years ago, with only one Kirkman book and Waid's History of MU coffee table book breaking into the top ten along with a PAD book set in the fucking 80s! This is not indicative of good health when people overwhelmingly prefer foreign comics and comics from decades ago.
For those of you looking for something fun, JLongBone, a Fandom Menace orbitor has just dropped her fourth installment of her live read of Gotham High.
Smug Pug, who I believe is on the Vikki and Dean side of the War of the Tards dropped a video announcing his new channel and upcoming show.

Perhaps I can throw a little clarification here based on observations from working in special education.It's a book for kids about space cats. It's realistically drawn and a well written adventure story by a skilled creator with two decades experience at DC Comics.
As such, on it's merits, it's the best book CG has put out so far. Now that backers have received their copies, it should be sold at Wal Mart alongside DOG MAN and other kids comics.

Who are these people and why should we care? Looks like they've got 100 subs and 2 videos. My personal youtube channel has more activity than that and I haven't touched it in ten years.
EDIT: Let me make it clear that I'm not criticizing you for posting them here so much as I'm mocking the gall of every random nobody in the CG-sphere who thinks they need their own show. I’ll happily admit, the lore has grown too deep for me. I miss the days when you could catch up on the majority of CG happenings by following the main participants, but even they’ve resorted to streaming anything remotely interesting on obscure alt channels. I simply have no interest in combing through six hours of masks and profile pictures and terrible mic quality to find out what fuckboi420 and throatthot69 think about comicsgate. But I have to, because in all likelihood Frog will spend the following week obsessing over whatever they said about him, so that will become the primary narrative of the next six streams. It’s exhausting. I’m thankful for the farms and people who do writups. I can’t imagine how much time they’ve saved me.

While I'm glad that the Dicki and Vean side of the War of the Tards has branched out from CG, I have to wonder if it will backfire. CG is relatively subdued compared to some of the lolcows the Farms deals with.

As much as I dig Tim Lim and Mark Pellegrini and their IP's, get back to us when they surpass the number of backers and total raised. Right now, using two campaigns he has zero control over, simply makes you look desperate to take shots at @FROG. Even worse, you are embroiling Lim and Pellegrini, who make a concerted effort to stay out of CG drama, smack dab in the middle of CG drama.

Just running some analytics here and was wondering what @DouglasErnst thinks about this interesting statistic I found. If anything, this chart only belies Liam's genius, as the overhead for delivering of his digital comics on medibang dot com is effectively zero. By my projections, Liam Gray is poised to pass by Tim Lim for the 109th consecutive time over. I of course am just a humble observer, but could this be accounted by the lack of a Kamen America Studio on Tim Lim's part? I think so.
Better go write an article for the Washington Post fast, Douglas Ernst. Try to shore up those Kamen America viewer backer numbers somehow.
