To diversify we can always talk books! I am making a point to review all the comicsgate books I enjoy, most recently got Dan Fraga's The Grave! Talking books and creating buzz about the fun great industry alternative is really the best thing we can all do to help ComicsGate grow. Let's help change the culture. However there's also a lot of readers who just don't chime in and are looking and are folk to be won over for different books and projects and I always keep those folk in mind first as they're potential customers. At this point I know I have a rep for working hard and for being a fighter and I am looking to use that toward the goal of growing ComicsGate. I get that some folk will be autistically mad about that, I just don't worry about it. I've dealt with War Campaign chimping out on me for years, a couple of people with some lame and pointless talking points don't bother me at this point. I don't wish them ill, but I hope they'll eventually settle down and come around and have fun and enjoy great comics with the rest of us.

Interestingly, neither of those people are technically in CG. They're persona non grata in Ethan's court, AFAIK.

There's other examples, I'm sure. @Stupendus has a thing going on with Nasser (who is in CG), but I think he'll learn that people here can and will poke fun at Nasser, and I think he'll adapt just fine. @NasserRabadi13 himself has been quiet, so Stu likely hasn't seen it... Great question. I have no idea as we've had a great working relationship for a lot of years and 19 issues worth of comics work done. I've fronted money for him when he needed a new car, given him bonuses when the campaigns did well, really did everything right. I've even paid him for pages he hasn't turned in prior to this, so I'm out money.

He just stopped responding once he landed a consistent gig with Dynamite after his Marvel work around this summemr. I spent 2 months every couple of weeks being like "hey are the pages being done?" or "If you've got a bigger gig I can wait just need to know the timing." He'd always been responsive before and communicative, so it was out of character for him.

This timing of the radio silence was was about as Deus Vult was getting a lot of positive attention from CG and outside so I can only guess that he was instructed to disassociate with me or he was scared that associating would cause problems with his "shot" at mainstream comics he has going now. Back in December he'd told me he was committed to finishing Flying Sparks and we almost got to the end of the storyline with only 2 more issues to go. His replacement, however, is an upgrade in my opinion, just having our first page done recently for a little exclusive preview:

The early days of the thread were mostly people complaining about the major comics publishers and people like Mark Waid rather than even talking at length about the comicsgate personalities. Strix454 is correct, the early days of this thread were extremely sympathetic to the aims of Comicsgate and was less about discussing the CG personalities and more focused on the behavior of the mainstream pros and their retarded antics. The thread remained largely sympathetic throughout the crowdfunding stage with the first signs of criticism emerging around the time of the Nerkish drama and even then the criticism was largely regulated to several users in a minority.

It wasn't until early-mid 2019 that the thread's overall theme shifted to the antics of the Comicsgate personalities themselves, which usually revolved around the chaos Warcampaign was engaging in. This coincided with TUG's inside mail box job which helped cement that some of the CG personalities were just as retarded as the antis being observed.

I imagine this threads evolution matches the Weeb Wars thread, whereby users were sympathetic with the aims of IStandWithVic, however over time the counter-culture movement proved themselves to be equally worthy of doxing and ridicule as Kick Vic.

Yes and no. The subforum started out as extremely pro-Vic, and today it's... well, still extremely Pro-Vic. It also still receives a fairly ridiculous amount of traffic. You're right that truly exceptional ISWV people get ridiculed though. TUG has his thread there. I not entirely sure why, since he was and is always more CG connected than WW.

Nice long term thing about that subforum is that, regardless of what happens with Vic, you can always repurpose it into an "anime containment zone." I envision a future scenario where Digibro, Mother's Basement, and all the weeb cows get moved in there, and TUG gets moved into Cow General. JMK was moved out of WW a while back.

But I don't run the site. That would just be my suggestion. I think it would be the one that would satisfy the most amount of people. Including those that think anime is for faggots (some of you who feel that are undoubtedly in this thread). Don't like fat women? Stay out of Deathfats. Don't like anime? Stay out of Weeb Wars. DO like dogs? Stay the fuck out of Animal Control. And so forth.
