Because I feel ISIS and Al Qeada present a much bigger threat to America than whatever stupid shit dangerhairs are doing in the comics industry (I'm weird like that), I would like to announce that I will be sending the following intel packet to the people running Camp X-Ray. I think it would prove useful to them in the course of their "enhanced interrogation" regime. Alas, I can not speak as to whether it would be more or less humane than whatever stuff they're doing now.

@COMMI3 MARK
What... in... the... FUCK, man? 🤣

Hard pass from me for the reasons I listed above. Several kiwis I work with talked about updating TUG's OP last year, at the time we felt our resources were better spent on collecting and drafting Liam Gray's thread. Afterwards we got distracted by Doxmas and the Green Dragon doxing of what was left of Warcampaign. Shortly after we devoted our time to unmasking Rewriting Ripley when they were attacking FROG and The Fandom Menace.
Fair enough. Just thought I'd ask. I think you'd be good at it.

If I remember correctly the main Weeb Wars thread was overrun with conversations about TUG so Emspex (RIP best girl) transferred it all to it's own containment thread (TUGs current thread), similar to how she transferred a portion of this thread into the Comicsgate Hanger-Ons and Drama Whores thread, when the alogging of FROG was so unbearable the thread was completely unreadable.

The problem isn't just the OP, TUGs thread was a containment thread and is filled with hundreds of pages of worthless alogging and sycophants defending him. It would take a team of kiwis weeks to organize everything into an index and reference the posts that are actually informative and worthwhile in the OP as a guide. In it's current form the entire thread would need to be overhauled because no newcomer would be interested in wading through all that.

Not to mention TUG's udders ran dry over a year ago. Sure sperging about Johnny Depp everyday is fucking retarded, but it's hardly worth archiving or talking about.

Something more fruitful always pops up and updating TUG's OP is too much effort for too little pay off. We're already busy with several other projects that are more pressing and contemporary.
Thanks again for that. That was very helpful.

This is more or less the same reason that a proper Fandom Menace thread isn't going to be compiled in PG - the time to create one was two or three years ago when most of the players were actively identifying as TFM, not after the movement irrevocably imploded. Rehauling 2 years of TUG's a-log containment zone thread simply to make the Weeb Wars subforum more tidy, or creating a Lodonis-tier Fandom Menace history with accompanying OP, and all the work that would involve, for the meager benefit of containing talk that went about the Fandom Menace's collapse, are massive jobs for dead or dying topics. Especially when, as you say, there is still things actively going on Comicsgate that barely get noticed. Like Commie Mark becoming an anime girl. Thank you for sharing that @Captain Manning . You are a true hero.

In other news, Martina Markota has regained control of the Lady Alchemy IndieGogo from her former co-creators Major Grubert and Christopher Spiedel, and is now celebrating by streaming with Billy "Boomer" Tucci. Billy has backed Mandy Summers' modern-day classic Wart The Wizard at the "lipstick kiss thank you note tier", so his motivations here are quite straight forward. Let's see how this goes.

Edit: 10 minutes so far and Martina is talking about nephilim blood and Billy is talking about how her childbearing hips are "born for making babies."

You're welcome. Though I am merely passing along something that was posted in Smug Pug's Discord. I do that from time to time because only a small percentage of people in there are on KF. I finally managed to get @Stupendus to join here last week.

Also, @COMMI3 MARK, it may interest you to know there actually IS a market for commie anime girl wall decorations. Take down that stupid shit from Worst Korea, and try something like one of these....

I dont know that this has been covered before, but legally the lawsuit against her by Grubert and Spiedel was dismissed back in August based on lack of jurisdiction. The court found that they had made no convincing argument as to why the case could be brought in California. The case was especially complicated given that it was not clear that Martina was in the United States or where Martina physically was during the proceedings. The court held that even if it were eventually determined that she was in London or New York, they had not made a compelling argument as to how the court would have jurisdiction over her in those places.

She has claimed on the IGG that there are 11 pages left to color and that after those pages come in, there will be "one day" worth of lettering to do. There is a vague promise that it will be done in "months".

There is also another bit of news. After years of being kept out of the US by the SJW Trump Administration, her fascist husband is now in the United States. Joe Biden's justice department realized the grave error made in keeping the former wonder boy of the British National Party (fascists) out of the United States. While the Trump Justice department was apparently controlled by ANTIFA, they have been driven out by Joe Biden so that Justice could be done for Jack. And he has announced that he is here to stay. He will eventually get citizenship through Martina.

Oh joy.

Friendly reminder that naturalized US citizens can STILL be stripped of their naturalized US citizenship and deported back to whence they came upon a big enough fuckup. It's only the natural born retards that we're truly stuck with.

In particular, I wager this might be relevant some day:

I'll go ahead and post the first rainbow of optimism.

:optimistic:

But really... somebody needs to ask the only IMPORTANT question here:

@VIkkiVerse, have you figured out how to do long division yet?

Barring a Comicsgate "miracle" Lim and Pellegrini have more backers than any CG book in 2021 - this is probably directly attributable to making and shipping books on a regular basis instead of live-streaming 25+ a week - Monday Night Morons (Komicsgate Kweens) will no doubt grow the pool of backers.

Their success can be your success Methwin, oh wait a sec, you have no successes, only failure after failure.

I notice that Rekieta has a bottle of Makers Mark placed very prominently on the bookshelf behind him, yet he was giving Ethan Ralph shit for Makers Mark being a staple of the Gunt. 🤔
I don't talk to Nick anymore, but I think the only whiskey he's said he absolutely hates is Fireball.

Semi-relevant to this thread is that Renfamous mentions Fireball when she trolls him.

Oh no. NO! You shut the fuck up right now!

LAST time you tried to talk about Kamen America, it ended up with @Mister Dongs bringing out pie charts, and trying to explain that Liam Gray is actually the King of Comicsgate.

Do you not understand?! PIE CHARTS!!!

Seriously though, why don't we just say Tim and Mark have been doing very good for themselves, and leave it at that. I love KA, and I'm gonna love it regardless of whether it makes $130 or $130,000.

yet he only made half as much money cuz he sold his book at discount prices compared to the 25 dollars CG books usually go for. Then he has to worry about paying for fulfillment which takes away from his bottom line. So in short, he has to do double the work for half the money.

I don't think Tim's production costs and fulfillment overhead is quite as large as some people here seem think it is. Reason being that he switched from soft to hard covers with no corresponding increasing in price. To me, that suggests his margins were just fine before, and he could justify narrowing them even further in the interests of product improvement. Tim doesn't strike me as an idiot with no sense for numbers.

Plus, after the campaign, you can buy all of the books from IC. That's an distribution source that we don't have numbers for. They are also the entity that handles fulfillment for the campaign.

In any event, as a consumer, I'm hardly gonna sit here and be like "Haha! You stupid faggot! You need to raise the prices of your books!"

my reasoning for that was because not only is he selling volume 4 for ten dollars in the campaign but he is also selling a 240 page omnibus for a 25 dollar price tag. He has got to be losing money out of that deal.

But, yes as a consumer, I have no complaints at all and will take a 240 page book for 25 dollars all day over a 48 page for the same price,

No.

See, the thing is we don't have a "P&L statement" for Tim. We only have a rough idea of revenue. Rough because IC is a private company that isn't publishing its balance sheet, and you can buy KA from there. Those sales could and should be added into the total. They're not, because we don't know what they are. Thus we can only look to IGG and KS.

Moreover, there's no way different CG/Indie comic campaigns incur the same expenses at the same rate. One campaign can have greater expenses than another.

If he were losing money, this venture would have fallen flat on its ass a long time ago. What appears to be happening here is that he's got a deal in place that completely justifies his price point and still turns a profit.

If you ask me, CG is overcharging for their books. Now, I firmly believe you can and should charge what the market will bare, but it's also worth noting that a higher price point might be necessitated by (and indicative of) smaller margins (i.e. expenses being higher).

Because your not a cultist. Relatively disposable entertainment should have a commensurate price. White trash masochists celebrate that they have. A payday right around the corner so they plunk down $50, $75, or more for a product that won't come for year.

Given that the pace of creation is glacial there's not even any observable conversation about the stories.

Spoiler Cyberfrog kills some bees and the remaining 1% of humanity slogs through a ruined hellscape of a world.

CG's disdain for competent writing and editing has led to an endless succession of duds and derivative storytelling.

Go back and look at Malin's campaign for "Godlike" - is there a single character even named in the promotional material?

Paper thin.
