@Captain Manning I would love to ship TUG's thread to the Lolcow subforum, but it desperately needs an OP overhaul that goes into depth about who he is, what he is infamous for, and why is he funny. Unfortunately, I am not the best person on TUG lore to accomplish such a feat and no one really has stepped up to the plate.
Anyways, I'd like to see TUG's thread refreshed some day. A lot of people know more about TUG now than they did then. Many people then just knew he was an enemy of Renfamous.
The problem is these days nobody cares/hates TUG enough or what he's up to now these days with his making 3 videos a day targeted towards grifting heavily medicated elderly ladies obsessed with Johnny Depp. Which is sort of necessary for sustained activity in his thread. Even I can't be fucked, and I wrote an essay exploring the psychosexual Oedipal themes in Matt Lewis' horror writing.
After a number of modestly to very successful campaigns raised by herself in 2021, Mandy Summers has gone onto anoint herself "the Cleopatra of Comicsgate" and, while clearly not in the rare airs of the "Comicsgate Kings" just yet, is able to get named talent to show up and no longer needs sully herself with the greasy lowlifes that inhabit the bottom tier of the Comicsgate hierarchy. Charlie's London went on to fulfill her passion project of the same name, but it's not clear if she is interested in creating more comics or focusing on her career as a university teacher and starting a family with her newlywed husband. Whatever the case, she seems quite happy these days to resume being an enthusiastic fan in chats. And for her part, Piper went on to do many notable things, not least of which was form a titty streaming show with Saggy Melonz and Rosetta Allen , co-run by puppet show youtuber "Sno Dub" and disillusioned Fandom Menace turbosperg Stephen Walton. She's also working on a comic with DarkGift and Vic King, which hasn't sent out a mailing list yet but already the people involved are starting to point fingers. Truly the members of CG Ladies Night went on to bigger and better things, one and all.
But where does this leave Lola and her bootleg CG Ladies Night, "the CG Powerpuff Girls" since she sided with Warcampaign against Mandy? Carla Tornielli, the most attractive one, seems to have moved on to greener pastures from Comicsgate streams and is now getting decent views as a kpop music video "reactor" as well as sometimes rapping to and obesely dancing to the kpop. This is probably the Good Ending here folks. Shae Zombie/Ghastlight appears to have put on some water weight and looks to be making the unfortunate transition from goth Sinead O'Connor to Uncle Fester with alarming speed. Last I checked Shae is desperately fighting to retain her inner circle against the Vimping scourge. The other one Jetsabel I'm gonna say "got bored and fucked off somewhere". And Lola herself went on to start her own show, "Lola after Midnight" that was more to her liking and packed with aforementioned greasy lowlifes, often shirtless, for hours-long dialogues about sucking dick, orgasms, prostate play and other subjects in her interest while TUG sleeps. Yet somehow, watching a bunch of unwashed men in their late 40s and 50s lust for a talking ass avatar has not set the youtube world aflame and after half a year Lola's channel is seemingly trapped at 12-14 of the thirstiest and most degenerate incels in Comicsgate. TUG in fact did show up a couple of times but this only had a chilling effect on the program as it stymied the show's main content, which was graphic sexual conversation with his wife.
Last night, Michael Bancroft generously lent his platform to help announce the launch of a new CG Ladies night titled 'Uncorked", a cross-clique ensemble starring Leroi's "The Chat"'s Amanda B, crackpack leader Goodstuff Comixgater's wife "Mrs Goodstuff" and "Flying Feline", a friend of Fraga's writer DeathMetalHero, and finally Lola, who's backstory was wisely left unexplained. I leave it for the reader to guess why Lola appears to be angling for a fresh start with new Comicsgaters unfamiliar with her extensive history, but I for one will be following with interest. Whatever the outcome is, it definitely will be more exciting than TUG's latest Johnny Depp take.
Meanwhile JSG goes full fifth column by calling out the right along with the left
and YBZ, along with commenting the IGG changes as a nothingburger, states that "he has won the SJWs and he will focus on his books and sell them on their merit alone" (parphrased)
This is an interesting shift in CG, with EVS doubling down on the Conservative side while other bigger creators distancing themselves from it.
There's a Simpcast #3 advertised for Sunday, but I could have sworn they did a #3 last sunday and it was quickly taken down or something.

You're probably right. It's just a shame he wasn't properly documented when he was more relevant. Or maybe he was, but it wasn't parsed very well. As ridiculous as doing 500 Johnny Depp videos a week is, there's only so much you can do with that.
Like I said, it became apparent to me at some point that the people who follow CG have a far more comprehensive and accurate take on TUG than the Weebwarriors did. As a result, he's basically devoid a proper OP, even though he has a thread.

You're not wrong. If he was acting like he did during the summer of 2020, his thread might have pulled more interest. He spent a good few months giving us gold mid 2020 with the hacking, the alleged mom beatings, the parvo, the false flagging, his batshit ramblings on his streams. Now he's gotten to the point where he's more tame - or just regular stupid for months at a time before he fucks up again, so it's not enough to keep his thread active enough for anyone outside of CG bullshit to give a damn. It's a shame, but also good for him for somewhat calming his Aussie tits enough to not get mentioned as often. But Liam's still fucking crazy. Problem with TUG is that his videos are like somebody programmed an AI to produce voice content around data provided about the video topic while using the preset "Southern pedo" for the voice produced.
Watching his videos is a Herculian task.

No, I did not want Caanan White to draw CYBERFROG. He did a ten pager for one of the bonus perks attached to REKT PLANET and that's about all I had for him. He did a great job though.

I used to follow a lot of reviewers back in the day, and when they would release a positive and negative video at the same (eg.: Top 10 best/worst games of the year) the negative one would always have more views and engagement. If you're a "full time youtuber" you'll eventually veer towards the complaining stuff because that's what get the clicks. I never really knew if this was because the people generally just want dumpster fires for that conformation bias dopamine hit or that it takes some special/likable personality to sell the good stuff properly and those are few and far between.
The complete lack of self-awareness is an other issue though...

i think even ethan said it, but FNT is just like Collider, but instead of praising everything that comes from Disney/Marvel, they bitch about everything. I remember Jeremy from G&G saying how they are different, as they have the diversity of thought, but looking at it now, its pretty clear they dont. Idk if anything changed, cause i didnt see a FNT show in months, but i am pretty sure today or next week they will bitch about Hawkeye and how the girl is being better than Jeremy Renner. Thats why you dont have to look at their shows, cause its obvious in advance what they will cry about.

I think it's slightly different if it's done in the context of a schtick or a character. Guys like AVGN and Angry Joe have millions of subs and they have the word "Angry" in their name. It's branding. The "pissed off nerd reviewer" became a trope because people found the scripted humor funny or they laughed at the bits of genuine low-T autistic rage on display. The good ones manage to couch legitimate, thoughtful criticism into their on-camera antics (the Plinkett reviews of the Star Wars prequels are probably the best examples of thoughtful film criticism disguised as an in-character "nerd rant"). In any case, it's been copied to death and the trope is mercifully dying off.
But that's not the FNT crew. They're just unlikable assholes who've managed to brand their exceptional opinions as if they're Roger fucking Ebert. The difference is that Ebert actually liked movies and even when he didn't like a particular movie he managed to express his opinion in an intelligent and often witty way. His negative reviews were often so good they were collected into a couple of books. Even if you disagreed with him, you at least knew he put some thought into it.
Dumbfucks like Gary, Az, Jeremy Griggs, and Ryan Kinel don't have a schtick. They don't do comedy skits or become characters to make some stupid point. They sit there and consume, complain, rinse, repeat. They hop onto YouTube and start immediately shitting on some project months before the cameras even start rolling, they bitch about how bad they think it's going to be, they shit on it at every stage ("Look at this single photo somebody took on the set! This whole thing is going to be shit!") and then they WATCH THE FUCK OUT OF EVERY EPISODE so that they have some fucking content. But, as @The Bovinian Derivative said, lots of people out there can't just not like something and avoid it, they NEED the dopamine release of some talking dicks with a platform justifying their dislike.
