#Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

Shinobi Sasquatch updates are my favorite.

tl;dr - No progress to show, Rob Willis doesn't give a shit about drawing the book, woe is Cal Jameson, but give him the benefit of the doubt because he assures you he's a great writer and has a lot of stuff in the works. Could Shinobi Sasquatch take the prestigious and coveted award for latest CG book to date? It's certainly a strong contender.

No, it isn't. Shinobi Sasquatch is the sixth latest book in ComicsGate.

The number one spot is occupied by CONFLICT: Claws Out by James Dean Anderson. The campaign closed 4 years ago next week, in December of 2018 and was due in April of 2019.

A close second is Sovereign by Andrew Huerta, due May 2019.
Number three is The Good Knight: Nightmare Realm #1 by Chrystal McGee, due August 2019.
Number four is Doomkicker by Elliot Fernandez, due January 2020.
Number five is Oddity by Sean Sweeny, due in May of 2020.

Shinobi Sasquatch originally had an expected delivery date of October 2019, so if you're counting that then it'd be fourth. I'd never heard of Conflict or The Good Knight, though. That's interesting. But I believe in Rob Willis and his lack of work ethic. I think it'll come down to him and Huerta battling for latest book in 2028.

Credit where credit is due: @FROG 's "MSTCG" stream was a respectable effort; a 3 1/2-hour veritable tour de force of "I think we're putting on a show for an audience interested in both CG as well as general shock jock -tier entertainment" forethought complete with guest and apparent show prep. All hands were on deck from the previous night's cringe-inducing degenerate abortion of a JACK Show. Though the longform "riffing on stuff" format is probably not for everyone, I found it to be quite entertaining and showcases the effective tard wrangling of Cecil as well as obviating any need for...

In fact, I don't believe her gross and offensive, icky, unwelcome, distracting, derailing, Jezebel, painted whore girlface appeared even once. While contemplating the just-concluded stream over 7am breakfast, I surmised that @FROG stands a strong chance of breaking 500 concurrent viewers with further such showings should he opt to conduct the streams before 3am EST. The harsh but fair deconstruction of (good sport) DarkGift's abysmal musicianship was a particular highlight and combined with the later b-movie riffing demonstrated a stark contrast to the usual boring and insipid chucklefuckery that took place on FNT nearly 12 hours before. All-in-all, 'twas a solid stream.

Ah! I see Arch Hall Jr. in the above frame. Eegah is a solid choice. One of my favorites.

I would also like to recommend to @FROG Alien from L.A. and Mitchell. Just make sure when riffing on Alien from L.A. you try to keep the comparisons between Kathy Ireland and Anna to a minimum. If this really goes over well, you can move on to Manos: The Hands of Fate.

"Watch out for snakes!"

Should keep the two separate. Since they haven't been, people looking for good comics have been subjected to Cashgrab and Low Effort Calendars. Oh and now the Lightbringer reimagining.

Hey, I wasn't joking! I unironically think the Lightbringer reimaging has promise. If Liz knows how to manage a project, it could be released on schedule. Vic King worked with @NasserRabadi13 on ASYL, and that came out on time, IIRC. The artist usually isn't the issue.

Only thing I ask: if Liz is reading this: PLEASE write in a cameo with the Green M&M. 🤣

"See, this should have a brain in it"
One of the best ones they ever did.

It's on Youtube, BTW. Official channel, no less.

People looking for good comics should watch ComicsGate Kings. If we can get our books out on time, more regularly, THAT's the group most likely to compete with the mainstream.

But then we've also got these indie creators and their efforts. There are a few genuine diamonds in that group, but to me, part of the mission statement of ComicsGate is to promote independent comic books. I'm not going to be the guy who hard-sells the campaigns any more, but I'll introduce these creators one at a time to my audience, mention their comics, and see what happens. I'd like to socialize with them a little bit, at the very least, and maybe we'll make some good content. They'll have to take it from there.

So far, from all your Comics Gate Kings, who has delivered a book on time and as promised?

I’m sorry to be as late/lazy as a Comicsgate artist undertaking fulfillment, but I’m after a few cliff notes after largely losing interest in this pack of cuntfuck grifters:

1. Has Kelsey disappeared from the JACK show?

2. Was there ever any address to the shenanigans from Adam Post, or was he just quietly shoved to one side?

3. How did Charlie’s London get on post crowdfund, and why has she seemingly disappeared from the bald one’s circle?

4. Does Shane Davis continue to be the whipping boy on streams or has he managed to finally establish himself over cunts like Cecil?

5. I read the posts in the last two pages of this thread - Witten, really?? How is this STD-soaked rottencrotch still featuring with the JACKasses? Is there any feasible explanation why she still won’t flush?

6. Whatever happened to Billy Tucci’s collaboration Summer 2020 with that Italian artist? I know she walked away, but was that mess ever resolved?

7. Is Zach still simple? Is he getting better or worse?

Pretty much quietly shoved to one side. If he or anyone else addressed it on YouTube or social media, I'm not aware of it. His channel still exists for some reason though. He seems to just be rolling along without really letting the fact that Frog benched him stop him from promoting CG stuff on Twitter.

Adam Post is still a well liked ComicsGater, but he needs to make his own books. He's just buying already produced webcomics and releasing them in print, which is OK, but it isn't really something I want to promote.

He could come up with a concept, hire a writer and artist, and crowdfund it and I'll be happy to let him back on the show.
