I have suspected for a while now that there is group of people egging on Liam. It seemed to accelerate right around the time Testefy died. For a good long while there, Liam had basically dipped into obscurity. I barely even remembered he existed. The last major "controversy" was that stupid treehouse he was building.

I've been keeping my mouth shut about this because I don't have a fully coherent picture yet. Just bits and pieces that weirdos send me. I also have some suspicions as to the "who," but again... I'm not 100% sure.

Ethan and Dean were served at about the same time. Dean filed an answer (Pro se, i.e. without a lawyer), which accidently waived jurisdiction for him, while Ethan's lawyer filed a motion to dismiss that was granted for lack of jurisdiction (basically the Texas court is saying they're not the right venue for the lawsuit). Dean's subsequent motion to dismiss, which was co-written by @Spectre_06, was denied and he will be going to trial, in Texas. Ethan had offered Dean the opportunity to join in on his motion to dismiss at no cost to him, but was rebuffed. Dean still does not have a lawyer, nor does he have any money to secure representation save for a $1000 gofundme which won't pay for anything.

Preston tried serving Vikki in New Mexico, then California, and claimed she was evading service at a 2-million dollar estate. He ultimately "served" her at an apartment in California. She lives in North Carolina. She never responded to the lawsuit and defaulted, and Preston has asked the court to award him over $700,000, which it may do any day now. After that happens, I think we're all expecting Vikki to make her appearance in the lawsuit. She claims to have a lawyer and really can't ignore it anymore despite the faulty service.

About a month ago, Preston was sued for $15,000 by the laywers he hired to draft the complaint against Ethan, Vikki, and Dean. He fired them last year and secured new representation, but the law firm has alleged that he has refused to pay them what he owes for over 6 months. He doesn't believe he should have to pay all that, in part, because they screwed up the complaint which allowed Ethan to get himself dismissed from the lawsuit (though he didn't know this at the time he reportedly stopped paying). He has asked the court to order them to arbitrate their dispute.

Well what V+D needed to do was to hire attorneys and have them basically copy the same arguments that were being made in FROG's legal papers. FROG also offered them that they would jointly do a response. But it would have required them to hire attorneys and they were not interested in doing that either.

Dean went out and found a LOLCOW super soldier to represent him rather than actual attorney. The LOLCOW he hired made really basic mistakes and kept trying to bring his own "value add" to the case. Dean is in a world of hurt and can't escape from the lawsuit in the same that FROG did because of the super-soldier lawyer's mistake.

Vikki's strategy for dealing with the case was not hire an attorney and attempt to duck process service For her efforts, she earned a "default judgement" against her. Preston's side convinced the court that she was properly served and she has lost the case.

Neither of them ever seemed to take the lawsuit seriously. Even if they were too poor to hire an attorney, there were things they could have done to get legal representation. Their priority was never the lawsuit. They were always focused on saving the internet from testefy.

Bit of a confession: I DMed JDA about this yesterday, and he was one of the multitude of people who I had talked to concerning this. He said he messaged Dean directly and Dean told him he was indeed splitting from Vikki. I was waiting for JDA to address it (which he said he would), because I didn't know if he told me that in confidence or not. Also, JDA did NOT share Dean's actual messages with me, because Dean specifically asked them not to be shared (just in case @Yusuke is reading). Nor did I even ask for them. AFAIK, he continues to honor that promise.

Some points of interest from the stream above:

- Dean really did not like Vikki's vagueposting about IGG campaigns engaging in ToS violations. He apparently doesn't think Vikki is specifically calling for mass flagging, but he acknowledges the optics are really bad with that tweet.
- Dean has been noticing that the live views on D&V Investigations has been dropping since the truce with @FROG has been called off, and they've gone back to bashing @FROG. They used to pull in 80-90 live viewers, and now they're only getting about 30. The implication here seems to be that going back to attacking @FROG after FROG was dismissed from the Poulter lawsuit was mainly at Vikki's direction.
- Dean apparently has given JDA a heartfelt apology over what's happened the past couple of months.
- SmugPug (host of the POZ show) has apparently nuked the "Legion of the Damned" Discord that Vikki used to hold court in. It was mainly an anti-CG server, and it has been said Pug would basically ban anybody on Vikki's command. I dunno if there was mass dissention over there, or what.
- @Spectre_06 got into a massive fight with Vikki in both Discord VC and on Twitter, and has apparently pulled the ejection lanyard with respect to Vikki. Vikki also blocked him on Twitter.
- @TESTEFY-HD's widow opines that with no common troll to unite against, old alliances are beginning to break down now (I think that might be a bit farfetched, but okay).

Then they talk about Liam again, and that appears to be most of the rest of the stream.

Not mentioned in the above stream: I have heard that Vikki is not happy with this Tweet Dean made on the D&V Twitter.

Also, D&V didn't do their regularly scheduled show last night.

So, the breakup certainly appears to be truth. For now, anyways.

(Bit of an aside: CG streams are a massive PITA to timestamp, because they always seen to run super long, and the topic presentation is very scatterbrained. I tried my very best to find the right spot in the video above).

As an addendum to yesterday's total conjecture and baseless opinion-filled expose by yours truly regarding Eric July's impending "Rippaverse", I'd like to submit a video of his from yesterday that seemingly is meant as a response to specific individuals within CG such as @FROG and Jon Malin who are mentioned by name and who have apparently aired less than "HOLY SHIT I'M ALL IN I WANT TO BELIEVE MAD RESPECT TAKE MY MONEY" views, but which also touches on broader concerns regarding what exactly is going on here. A man with a dream on a mission who we should all swoon and swell with pride for? A delusional fool to be bullied back into his locker? A cynical money grabber? A loathsome grifter? The video is brief and thankfully to the point. It's calm and well-measured. However, it doesn't really get to why he won't shut up about it in general at this juncture and why he's talking out of both sides of his mouth re: the need to hype this thing now while apparently unwilling to come correct with any deets. Not even his influences.

Just for context.... has Mr. July done anything in the past to make anyone believe he can pull an actual challenge to DC & Marvel or at least Dark Horse? I can't think of anything

She did so using the same argument @FROG just successfully used (it was filed in the wrong jurisdiction). Some of that expense was offset by the $15,400 she raised via a GFM. The GFM that, ironically enough, Dean and Vikki painted as a scam.

So, when the dust settled, her out of pocket expenses total up to nearly $49,000, even though she won. Note that that figure is not necessarily indicative of what FROG is on the hook for, because I believe there was some additionally fuckery in the Lady Alchemy case and (per her) her lawyers weren't that great. There's other variables too.

Unfortunately for D&V, they're not Martina. Dean only managed to raise approximately $1,300, and Vikki didn't even try to do anything. Not that I think Vikki would have gotten anywhere near the amount Martina pulled in because...

Vikki could have ended up like Martina, but with far more money left in her bank account, and/or far less outstanding debt. She could have even made a cringe joke about how she does indeed know how to do long-division because FROG provided VERY generous division.

AND THEY TURN IT DOWN!

It's absolutely mind blowing to me. You can't make this shit up. They were extended a far better offer than anybody would have conceivably thought they would have gotten. And so now, we're awaiting to find out how much the judge is gonna award Preston concerning Vikki's default, and lord knows what's going on with Dean.

I know @RodgerDodger and @FROG opine that they both might have expected FROG to pay for everything instead of just most things. I dunno if that's true, but that just makes it more absurd in my mind if it were.
