Quick question: if you're a licensed therapist and you publicly threaten to beat someone to death with a hammer, are there any implications for your license to practice? Maybe it depends on the state...
Just before TUG's "beat you with a hammer" promo, they'd been talking about TUG forgiving Nasser after Nasser offered him an apology. EVS said that a real man can forgive someone who makes a mistake when they apologize for it and tells TUG "You're a real man".

Spectre apologized "from the bottom of [his] heart" for talking shit about TUG's horrid beast of a wife and TUG goes into hammer time and tells him "I don't accept" Spectre's apology while unironically decrying Spectre for being an Internet Tough Guy.

TUG almost made Spectre seem like a normal person in comparison. Almost. Neither of them will ever stop being fountains of tardcum.

Simple Zack gets high from eating a day-old (possibly spoiled) gyro. After passing out in the middle of the afternoon, he has a fever dream. He is inspired to think deeply about art and the need for comics artists to speak about current news and political events through their comics.
A "fellow artist" advised Simple Zack not to do his COVID book "pandemic". Zack explained that the artist was wrong and that "artists" like Zack have a duty to comment on current events. He realizes a certain point that he is contradicting his old view of "comics professionals" as "hot dog vendors" who should avoid political commentary. Simple Zack solves this problem by drawing a distinction between "universal feelings" (Zack's politics) and "leftist cliches" (not Zack's politics).
For artists not to comment on something while it is happening is held to be a "dereliction of duty" by Simple Zack. Even if those political views are "offensive or wrong". The present is the artists time and its shocking to Zack that anyone would hold back from doing comics about current events or making wrong political statements based on the feelings in the now.
He seems almost completely oblivious that he has both adopted the argument that SJW comics creators have always used to justify preachy dumb comics and abandoned almost every argument he made back in 2018 about comics. Also doing all this around a "punch nazis" argument.

Who is this guy and what has he done with Richard C. Meyer?

Holy shit, I watched both of these streams and didnt even notice this. I will say and I know I give Nasser shit every once in a while but, Nasser has kept his nose clean lately and seems to have grown up a little. I think an apology coming from Nasser probably means more. Now when it comes to @Spectre_06, he is a known and well documented liar and dumbass, so much so that he has his own thread on the farms that even Null seems to check up on. An apology from him means nothing. Lets be real, if @Spectre_06 apologized to you for something, would you accept it?

I used to have a theory, and I have talked about it here, that the simple one was doing all these bad things on purpose to piss off as many people as possible. In doing this, he could fade away and not have to worry about people always asking him to come back. I always thought this because normally someone has to purposely try to fuck up this bad. Now, im pretty sure he is either just plan retarded, or he was exposed to some chemical or something in the middle east that has slowly rotted his brain.

Also, my apology commentary was aimed at HeelvsBabyface not accepting MY apology last year. I was joking.

TUG has every right to reject an apology that he doesn't feel is worth anything for an offense he can't forgive. Spectre claimed he didn't remember telling TUGs wife to commit suicide while she was pregnant, "but if I did..."

Fuck that.

All of those things are equally true of TUG. Spectre wasn't wrong in thinking that if he attacked the right people, provided useful content to certain people and made himself useful to the right people that he could become one of the good guys. Its not like it hasn't happened before. Look at JDA among others.

Spectre being rehabilitated is no more insane than a lowlife cow like TUG becoming a figure of respect that people apologize to. It would not be shocking at this point if there were a long series of posts by people explaining how they got TUG all wrong. There would be admiration for how TUG dealt with all the bad people who smeared his good name and lied about what happened to his mailbox. Because Vikki.

If you can get people to see TUG and even LOLA as victims, you can get them to believe anything.

I guess im not as big a TUG hater as most here. I did read the the TUG thread a while ago, but it seemed like a retard wrote it up. Maybe that is why im not as big a hater. For me, I put TUG on the same level as JDA and Vikki. Spectre is on the same level as Liam to me. Don't get me wrong, I am not gonna look at TUG as a victim or do the whole "maybe I had him all wrong" thing. I didnt do it for JDA and im not doing it for TUG. I will point out when he does do something I think is a good thing like accepting Nasser's apology, but I know doing one small decent thing doesnt make up for all the shit done in the past.

That's because @emspex took the sperging about TUG's mailbox in the main Weeb Wars thread made it into a containment thread.
A proper OP was never written for it and no one has stepped up to the plate to do so.

Simple Zack is a deeply stupid person. I was going to say sometimes deeply stupid, but its apparent that he's starting to fly too close to the sun. He's got an audience that wants good comics and absolutely does not want current events bullshit in their comics. For example, PANdemic made $50k next to Jawbreakers' $404k, this is his audience telling him what they want. Maybe he's consumed too many hotdogs at long last and he's ventured into the treacherous territory of huffing his own farts.

Of all the people on earth that are unqualified to lecture us about The Way Things Are via A Very Special Episode of This Comic, Meyer is one of the most unqualified.

I feel like there is a world where Zack can be like "Yeah, people can make political comics, but I stand by the idea that they shouldn't hijack established characters/settings/properties to do it." Like, it's still stupid as fuck as clearly very few are wanting to buy his takes on Corona/2020 Riots/Ukraine, but yeah if someone wants to do it they can do it.

But when he starts talking about it being a "duty" to do this and shit...holy shit. Way to miss your own god damn boat.

That puts an end to one of the longer-running comicsgate feuds which went back to very early days. Given that Nasser is the artist known as Liam Grey's greatest enemy, its worth wondering what this will do to what is left of the TUG-Liam Grey friendship.
Congratulations Nasser. I'm not sure (aside from Liam) that you have any active CG feuds left.
Yeah, I think liam must be the only feud left.

2022 is already a good year. Creepsters is about to come out, hatchet have been buried, and we can all laugh at liam and Dikkiverse.

Spectre claimed he didn't remember telling TUGs wife to commit suicide while she was pregnant, "but if I did..."
The fact that he kept saying "but if I did..." made it clear that he did.

I am well versed in TUG lore, from gay catfishing, dick pics, and the wind blowing over his mailbox. The gay ops, his fat fuck wife. Jesus Chris Chan that family is a shit show.

When TUG pimped out his daughter to a child porn pervert Sick Jimmy that was the last straw with that faggot. He's an unforgivable piece of shit and fuck EVS for continuing to white knight for him.

From @FROG 's stream last night with TUG, YellowFlash, and @Spectre_06

It begins.
TUG starts getting strong with Spectre. YellowFlash intuitively and quite honorably pulls back his friend TUG and leaps onto the retard grenade himself, only to be immediately vaporized in the blast with his friend still in imminent danger of becoming a hothead.

It continues.
TUG has every right to reject an apology that he doesn't feel is worth anything for an offense he can't forgive. Spectre claimed he didn't remember telling TUGs wife to commit suicide while she was pregnant, "but if I did..."

Fuck that.
"There ya go." It sounds like you were initially convinced here, Ethan. Maybe just a little?

TUG starts hotter. Spectree squirms.
TUG: "You would be afraid"
TUG: "I know who you are"
TUG: "I'm a better person than you" oof, no dude. no. never take that position.
TUG: "Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me if I'm angry." 🔨😡
He's justified - all things being equal - but this is the internet and all is not equal. This is not a good look. EVS put him in a bad spot where his honor as a husband and father is at stake and piqued whatever latent neurosis TUG himself has. Flash tried to save him. TUG does not even come across as a tough guy and it doesn't seems to win TUG much. He comes across as somewhat unhinged himself. If The Band taught us anything, it's that if you're a crazy white southern guy always remain stoic and make a play for sympathy in court of public opinion (and make no mistake, that's what this is). It's a better look.

Hammer time. KF shout-out.
Spectree: "I will take TUG at his word that I told his wife to go kill herself"
TUG: "Internet crosses over into real life, bud" Hmm. I've heard reports of this but can't confirm and remain skeptical.
TUG: "There's nothing positive about interacting with you, Spectre"
devil-and-angel-on-shoulders-pop-art-vector-18116553.jpg

Winding-down.
At this point the tension breaks and it degenerates into the typical faux-"debate" inquisition shitshow where one side confronts a delusional psycho with shit he's done/said (stolen valor, D&V, etc.) in an attempt to get some good ole' Tease The Retard going but since you can't really top threats of imminent bodily harm and since Spectre is just smart enough to squirm his way out of these traps set in calm non hammer-swinging scenarios, not much comes of it other than a confirmation that the guy is a loon and tedious to deal with.

Aftermath.
TUG then simmers down and attempts to revert to a measured, sing-songy gentle folksy demeanor that has no doubt earned him a 37% female audience but alas the damage is done. If there was a victory here for him, it was a Pyrrhic one. Attempting to punctuate the gavel-swinging imbroglio with "...and this is why I became a therapist" is quite the unintentional comedy.
TUG: "I wasn't mad or lost my temper..."
1357879416286.gif

He then sputters out a rambling mess as EVS and Flash, no doubt exhausted by this point themselves, just sorta let him realize on his own that he sounds nuts the more he doubles-down on "Why, yes. I would commit attempted murder over gay internet drama" as everyone else is ready to move-on.
TUG: "I'm a therapist. Let me help you."
Also TUG: "Psyke! Ranger choke hold, Fucker!"

BONUS CLIP: Line of the evening that compelled us to all yell "Please TUG, Don't Hurt 'Em":

For artists not to comment on something while it is happening is held to be a "dereliction of duty" by Simple Zack. Even if those political views are "offensive or wrong". Things are always happening and Zack will probably have an opinion about all of it. The problem is that crowdfunded comics aren't the place to address a current event in a timely fashion. The South Park documentary showed us how Parker, Stone & Co manage to stay on top of current events by having a production cycle of about six days from idea to execution. It's quick and it's nerve-racking and it takes the efforts of many people to pull it off on a weekly basis.

That ain't Zack. His process takes months and isn't guaranteed to get to his audience before said current event is a memory. Even the mainstream SJW weirdo pros get their propaganda out about every 4 weeks and they charge a third of the price for it.

Zack's brain was rotted by the battles he fought after he was in the Middle East. The mainstream shitheads broke him. The Waid lawsuit especially broke him. You can't underestimate the effect cucking to Waid had on Zack's content both on YouTube and in the comics he's choosing to make.

If Zack wanted to leave it all behind, he would have done it. He has shown everyone he is perfectly willing to walk away from anything he starts and doesn't have to resort to making a bunch of comics nobody gives a shit about as a pretense to "fade away" from the harsh realities of being the former godfather of CG when it becomes uncomfortable.

Zack is making comics that serve more as masturbation than entertainment. His days as a "hot dog vendor" are over. Now he wants to make sculptures of hot dogs with odd toppings and take photos of himself looking at those sculptures and asking "What is a hot dog, really...and why do people seem to want them?". It's absolutely fart huffing territory, but instead of his farts being a rancid cloud of super self important spicy hot takes disguised as art, they're stale beer farts of room temperature, average boomer sentiment. Having the same opinion as a random Midwestern dad isn't art.

How he still has an audience is beyond me. He certainly hasn't made any effort at expanding his reach, as shown by his steadfast refusal to do any marketing whatsoever for his projects. He speaks to his backers like they're assholes when they criticize his approach to fulfillment. He seems dead set on keeping the 1000-1500 people (max) who back his non-Jawbreakers stuff right where they are while he pulls down mid 5 figure campaigns one after the other, regardless of how many he hasn't yet fulfilled. EVS has said that Richard expressed a desire to create art that will last and make a statement. Apparently, his way of doing this is continually writing $15 floppies about shit nobody will care about in a year.

His current project doesn't seem to have much momentum at all. Right now it has less than 600 backers and is around $4000 shy of his goal with three days left. Granted, it'll more than likely get there because Zack's core audience is retarded and will absolutely mobilize to make sure Ya Boi doesn't have an abject failure on his resume. But remember, Zack said himself that it costs him $25,000 to make a 26 page floppy and that his project wont see any profit until after it hits $25k, so even if he squeaks over the goal it could still be a financial flop for him. You can bet he'll walk away from that having learned nothing and drawn all the wrong conclusions. But what do I know? I predicted 499 would fail based on where the campaign was right before it closed until the CG Light Brigade charged in to shill for a book you know they didn't even like.

Of all the people on earth that are unqualified to lecture us about The Way Things Are via A Very Special Episode of This Comic, Meyer is one of the most unqualified.
Exactly right. As a general rule, I only listen to advice and ideas from people better off than I am in a particular area.

Unless it's advice on what not to do, I don't take financial advice from broke people, career advice from the unemployed, or parenting tips from guys with 3 baby mamas. Why would I spend $15-$25 to hear about principles from a guy who abandoned every one of his? Zack's position on everything to do with comic books is a complete 180 from what it was when he was building his audience. Whether it's Kickstarter, putting your audience first, the role of real world political bullshit in escapist fiction or anything else he used to stand on, he now says the opposite and fully expects the people still waiting for his other books to continue to support him.

If I want a solid opinion on fast food breakfasts, where to get a haircut for less than $8, or the best way to resole a pair of Walmart shoes, I will absolutely seek out Richard Meyer.

Yeah, "there's your apology, with an unnecessary 'fuckin'' thrown in because Spectre is an asshole with zero class." If it was for some basic-level internet shit talking, I would have probably just accepted it.

But TUG decided to have a cathartic moment instead, because he's clearly very angry at how Spectre and his retarded band of imbeciles treated his family over the past few years.

I don't know how deep it all went, so it's not my place to judge. TUG felt like yelling. I just listened.

The midget guy was working on an OP but stopped. A few people have offered to write up a TUG OP.

What the FUCK
It's half-shitpost, half-true.
I think Jimmy was commenting on artwork created by TUG's daughter (if I remember it was a perk for TUG's second book) and Jimmy was associated early ComicsGate with TUG & EVS. Jimmy got busted last year.

You gonna be waiting a long time for a new OP from TUG's midget a-log because he died a few months ago (YoF).

Not quite.
Back in the early days of TUG's youtube career, he would regularly have his daughter go on livestreams to beg for superchats and sell crayon drawings made by her. I suspect TUG retardedly thought he was just sharing the schmalzy, monetizeable love that a bunch of doting grandmas might have for his adorable kid. What actually happened though was TUG wound up gathering a small coterie of simps around his six year old daughter. This all came to a head when a member of TUG's daughter fanbase, "SlickJimmyLove", managed to get on a livestream with TUG's catfishing wife and seized the chance to express his true feelings.

Soon after this incident TUG seems to have decided that presenting his child for the enjoyment of random internet strangers was perhaps a bad idea, and LUG appreciation stopped being a regular feature on his show. TUG went on to have a successful career as an outrage peddling youtuber, TUG's wife had a good run cybersexing various Comicsgaters in the Warcampaign discord voice chat while TUG slept in the adjacent room and SlickJimmy split from CG around 2019 only to get charged with downloading 2,905 pieces of CP.

Anyways if you point any of this out, that amounts to causing TUG's family stress, which is tantamount to trying to murder his family.

Unless it's advice on what not to do, I don't take financial advice from broke people, career advice from the unemployed, or parenting tips from guys with 3 baby mamas. Zack, as a 50 year old man, has screaming temper tantrums about how he can't get digital comics from Comixology for 70 cents a piece while his official position that "nobody wants digital comics" and gouges his fans for $25 (including shipping) for a physical 22-page black and white floppy. Why should anyone give his takes on comic books any credence? Even he doesn't believe in what he's telling his audience.
