I'm aware of the basics of Gunt lore, but I only started reading his thread sporadically when he got involved in the Chris stuff and around the first Portuguese beating. It doesn't surprise me that a Ralph alog would have a near 1000 page thread. God help me, I am going to at least read all the highlights.

I believe he'd stated on a Nerdrotic stream that he had 10,000 books printed prior to opening the campaign. He's clearly gone over that so while it's not a good look if there'll be delays, it's hardly surprising. I know my copy had stated "Backordered" before just changing to "Processing" yesterday but that's the only additional info I can help with.
 
Looks like Liam Gray of Conquest Comics has released a new IP on Indiegogo. Kakashi: Murder Dolls. Sounds like it might be interesting. Here is the synopsis from the IGG page-

It's alright in a nooby-mangaka-who-still-isn't-sure-about-anatomy-or-perspective way.

And the gritty hardened post-apocalyptic giant crow krowju? hunters all look like cosplaying hookers and gigolos. FFS.

Although my bigger concern is that the synopsis and displayed pages are a whole lot of telling, not showing. Or am I being too pessimistic about the necessities of marketing an unfinished book? If I'm honest I'd rather see this compared to Eric July's goofy media embargo.

The synopsis reads like somebody who learned English as a second language stumbled across thesaurus.com and replaced words with other words that don't mean quite the same thing. Viz:

Having said that, good luck to him. I'm not sure he has the intellectual or artistic chops to pull something like this off, but based on the above, including the art work, I'd put it ahead of most of what ComicsGate has been farting out for the past few years.

But, I think as is well documented in this thread at the end of the day Liam's biggest problem is...Liam. He can't resist internet slap fights, he's pissed off the ComicsGate cool kids table one time too many, he will never be accepted by the mainstream, and his behavior is more often than not both erratic and bizarre. IOW, he does little to inspire hope that sending him your hard earned shekels will at the end of the day leave you with a funny book in your hands. Even in the geologic terms defined as ComicsGate deadlines.

Will the hungry hands of Kiwi Farms close around the heart of this once great comic creator or will the children of Ginger create a comic book empire from their backyard tree fort – if faced with an apocalypse, would you trade your shekels for purple prose and mediocre art?

If his sales numbers are real nobody can fault him for not pre-printing that much inventory. I don't think anyone expected that.

Work on the book is done, final print numbers are still up in the air until the campaign closes, and its already bigger than they were equipped to handle.

Happy to report a big W for ComicsGate. OVERMIND has beat Flying Sparks Volume 1, the 2018 "summer of love" as my highest grossing campaign ever. It's a testament to this community and how much people love great comics. Can't wait to get this into your hands.

It's great that people are vibing with my "regress harder" mantra on culture. Raz0rfist put out a nice video this morning explaining why Bandes Dessinées, like Valerian & Laureline which inspired OVERMIND, are the superior comic art form. It doesn't get much attention, but stylistically the Franco-Belgian comic-creating community has a wonderful model for great storytelling, and I'm very proud to be continuing in their tradition.

When we did the big data analysis of comicsgate twitter we found that the French, Belgians and Italians had zero representation in CG. Not because they don't care about comics but because their industries are strong.
