Rippa and his audience are itching for a fight. I wager they'll enjoy this Paypal fight more than ISOM #1Looks like he fucked around and found out.
And today, he had a viewer question video that asked, among other things, why the ComcisGate creators don't band together and try to form their own imprint a la Image Comics did in the 90s.
Well if you want to save the industry, you need an industry (or make one), with that in mind Frog said on multiple occasions that he doesn't really care anymore and just wants to make frogbooks by himself, the other CG creators look content on using indiegogo until the end of time too.I mean… is it a particularly desirable thing to run another Image style publishing house? What are the advantages? The risks are insane. The direct market is fucked, maybe terminally so. Why waste valuable time and money fighting against mentally ill leftist gatekeepers for a slice of a dwindling pie? Oh, and then maybe your office staff can unionize and yank your editorial powers out from under you?
You're going to discover soon that Perch is a pretentious and fence sitting cuck with no actual opinions of his own and then he will start to bore you like he did with me.One of the great things about this thread is that it introduced me to Comics by Perch.

Going by what we're seeing with RippaVerse and PayPal, part of it might be because even when the creators appear to have their shit together to actually publish and ship their comics, there's still some pretty basic business sense that they're missing.

So why doesn't Scout Comics or Black Mass Studios or a Vault or an Aftershock? Why doesn't one of them reach out to a bunch of CG creators and say, "Hey, you know, you're doing your crowdfunding thing, but much like Scott Snyder does his Comixology books, and then, you know, he gets an Image or Dark Horse to publish them? Why does it some company take that on? Why? And the answer is the "mainstream comic industry" would just pummel that that company into oblivion. they would never shut up about it.
They would get Dynamite to pull their account. It would die a quick death. Now, I'd like to see it tried, quite frankly, because I'd love to see, when push comes to shove, can these people bitching get Dynamite to pull an account? Would that happen? I would love to just play it out. I'm not entirely sure that would occur. I think lots of people make lots of threats and lots of emails would be sent and lots of tweets like "looking sideways at you Diamond" or Barnes and Noble or whoever it happened to be. There'll be tons of these vague threats. And there'd be lots of e-mails written like, Do you realize these people are a hate group and you're supporting a hate group?"...
Kind of odd seeing my username in the article. Finally, to end this post on a high note, our old friends at Rewriting Ripley have seized the opportunity of Ryan Kinel's latest dumbass outburst to release another medium.com article titled "Calling Out Hate In Fandom Isn’t Enough. We Must Deplatform It." Nominally about the Friday Night Tights crew being racist and their hurtful attacks upon Reylos like themselves, it's not long before the subject of the essay digresses into the real evil behind it all, the master vampire from whom the Fandom Menace and the Quartering devolve: @FROG, as well as a deep dive the heart of darkness, the secret power propping up them up known as this thread. All of us get a mention here, from @SaidNoOneEver, @Smug Freiza , retard @Furyan to @gibtev
@Mister Dongs
Kind of odd seeing my username in the article.
At the end of the day, I'm a nobody.
All this means is that they are assmad at being exposed as the freaks they are.
I blame Frog.@Mister Dongs

Just a warning for anyone thinking about clicking Mr. Dong's link to the Medium article: it contains links to a white nationalist site so be careful!

If you think these people are reasonable then you are just as fucking dumb as the people calling them white supremacist....Nerdrotic and other reasonable critics of modern Disney...
Ok, I'll give you that one. My bad.If you think these people are reasonable then you are just as fucking dumb as the people calling them white supremacist.
When I think of white supremacy I think of a bunch of out of shape, shut-in NEETs watching and complaining about pop-culture media, they're the best and brightest we have to offer. This whole situation just gets better and better. Looking at that article, I never thought I'd live to see the day that Nerdrotic and other reasonable critics of modern Disney be equated with white supremacy.
Everything is considered White supremacy these days. Even shit that wasn't offensive 15 to 20 years ago is considered white supremacy. Though, I'm looking forward to see how far this Ryan situation goes. This whole situation just gets better and better. This is how it begins, they keep using enough keywords and wage online witch hunts against anyone that dares challenge the Mouse's shitty creative decisions. Seems like the left are the ones to talk about being doxxed since I guess it's ok to threaten J. K. Rowling after she gave the ungrateful tossers one of the best fantasy series of all time.
Shame that a stupid joke, that admittedly is worth a bit of a chuckle, has to end up with so much bullshit around it. We used to be able to say "High school isn't real life, don't worry about people treating it that way." Well, seems that is still about half correct. We just had the grade level too high.Everything is considered White supremacy these days. Even shit that wasn't offensive 15 to 20 years ago is considered white supremacy. Though, I'm looking forward to see how far this Ryan situation goes.
Until the people who didn't mature since then were given a platform. We used to be able to say "High school isn't real life, don't worry about people treating it that way."
