Dark Harvest is tracking to do about the same as the Comicsgate hats and crap campaign.

This long into both campaigns track about the same. Frog's gonna have to keep this open well past last day to make six figures. I hope he has a list of excuses handy for why these campaigns aren't doing well by ALL CAPS standards.

Who am I kidding, of course he'll have excuses ready.

Excuses he has. New customers, not so much. And he knows it. Like Rekieta though he is too spoiled and lazy to man up and make changes.

Edit to add:
Also what in the badly drawn fuck is THIS load of shit?
No Cover is the first and only CG comic to crack 10K in funding in 2023.
January is usually a slow month, but this one has been something else.

At this point in 2021, Groken, Alien Alamo, Adam Friended's failed comic, 499, Thomas Valiant by the Fourth Age guy and 1stMan by Andy Smith were all running and passed 10K
At this point in 2022, there was Graveyard Shift IV, Two Fisted Manly Tales, Thin Blue Line, Six Gun Gorilla and Johnny Phantasm: Extreme '98.
At this point in 2023 there's been.... No Cover. If it wasn't for Frog's merch and his preview grift, it's difficult to argue that CG was active at all last January.

Fowler wigged, Matt Crotts seems similarly stressed after ditching his kumbaya thing to rail against Ernst and his disregard of small creators who can't produce comics in advance, Brutas the Badass 2 tanked, Liam deleted his channel. Smiller is touring the tiny streams offering a way out to the Comicsgate Damned. Scores of other industrious creators were inactive in 2022 like John Hervey, RJ Shaw, Clint Stoker, Ed Winkler, Keung Lee, Tzvi Lebetkin, etc.

As @MuppetSlaughter and even Frog is noticing, the slums are drying up.

Not sure other than travel and make YouTube videos ("characters, fictional settings, and parodies") and try to make friends. Here's his channel. He may be homeless at this point because he has no power "in his bunk", so that sucks but if "sean sarto" ever needs a defense for stalking/harassment he can just point to her video and argue mutual k-fabe because she is clearly doing her content creator thing on him at this point. They're both creators: her a commentator and him an artiste. Some might say he baited her into becoming a participant of sorts where she really didn't need to because her simps and fellow e-thots were already doing the heavy lifting. She could have just as easily talked around him in videos like she has done in the past. But it's just as likely that she's slowly coming around to his point of view and it's everyone around jealous of her impending happiness. Honestly, I'm not sure either, but I'm leaning Team Sean.

He's been trying to meet Melanie at least a few months, This segment is probably it where Chrissie Mayr also "unmasks" this private citizen attempting to enjoy the online dating scene but I recall Melanie mentioning a stalker on SimpCast at least once before a few months ago. The guy seems reasonable. He makes numerous valid points and articulates them calmly and persuasively. For instance, he says Melonie should probably not come to Florida to meet up with other streamers since Sean himself lives in Florida too and he might bump into her at Disney World when she's at Disney World. It's a small world after all... Duh.

Overall, I think Melenie and the SimpCast crew were wrong to treat him like an outsider when he was at DebateCon when she was at DebateCon. I mean, who hasn't had an online waifu and referred to her as "my future wife"? Everybody that I'd ever associate with has. Seems like a big misunderstanding but at this point he may have been in the right to initiate legal proceedings. Maybe he'll get a male judge on the appeal he's about to file, instead of the unreasonable female one he had for the first go-around. If he prevails in the restraining order, depriving Melonie Mac of her concealed carry permit that she has """"for protection"""" is probably a small price to pay for this gentleman's peace of mind.

He posted a response video from later Wednesday evening. He's declining to release her full name for now and is instead magnanimously offering to do a stream with her. He wants to sit down with her and "tell her what she's insecure about". The poor guy got framed by some jealous meangirls, but that's a helluva good faith effort on his part in my opinion.

* If you're reading this, Sean, I'm kidding. You should probably stay away from her and focus on "your work on YouTube". The right one will come along.
I think there may be milk here in the future, his channel is basically a ton of mediocre art and music. He could be an art cow very quickly when people find out he will respond to being fucked with. His full name is Sean Patrick Sarto (09.10.1969), and he is basically the embodiment of the headline "Florida man"

It took me all of five minutes to find his Instagram, Facebook, twitter, home address, phone and e,mail.

One time he applied for a job in video form.

Edit: Found his old profile and shutterstock.
There was more milk than I could handle in his Instagram.

I love the coping and sneedin on his latest video though.

This guy is like the Internet bogeyman, in so that if you say his name three times he will show up on whatever comment section to let you know that Melanie is actually stalking him. I would not be surprised if we finds his retarded ass in here soon telling us to stop being Internet terrorists.

I have a feeling Melanie Mac wish this would be the end result:

I guess this one reason EVS tried to make peace with the Tidal guys, since Tidal's Grohl book has made a fortune and even their weird other biography books run laps around CG. And they have actual options on their books to actual networks and streamers. None of that may result in an Isis or 10th Muse show but they are still a big step up from muh CG. Vanity projects like those stupid frog toys notwithstanding.

Mandy Summers and the rest of the grifters trying to bully the wine fags was so fucking stupid and as a strategy potentially suicidal for CG as a whole.

And at the same time no more crowing over (finally) "delivering" books or giant CG profits, because there ain't any! All the CG assholes look super stressed now. No one wants to visit the circus any more.

The point I guess is that while it's unfortunate to have stupidly squandered promotional opportunities, there is a bad smell attaching itself to pretty much everyone that is one or two levels higher than CG and playing at politics and culture with a conservative or right-wing bent. That smell appears to be emanating from socio-political enterprising females and dudes simping for said females. Relative obscurity may be a blessing. I don't know what the details are like behind the scenes at FNT or G+G but holy shit do they work really hard to involve dubious females in a lot of edgy shit. I feel sorry for Eric because while I do think his entire existence is absurd, he is accomplishing a lot in his chosen endeavors and he really does seem to work hard to avoid dumb shit that could blow up in his face. He's friendly with all of these people including Sydney herself and it would be a shame if he had to go to court or whatever to testify.

An excellent post.

Rippa's video is unsurprisingly long and rambling, but it does offer the unique perspective of someone involved in Glenn Beck's The Blaze media empire without being wholly owned by them. It's an interesting watch. July dances around the idea, but fundamentally what is happening is an open conflict between the self-employed lolcows of Internet Famous and the professionally curated and propped up "authentic" parasocial e-celebs propped up Con Inc/Big Con. The Ben Shapiros and Glenn Becks who have seen the money involved and decided to cultivate e-celebs of their own by offering Faustian bargains to fame-hungry people in exchange for their professional resources, including access to high profile guests, studios, SEO optimization, legal/flagging protection, bots/astroturfing services, actual publicity, etc. All the original culture war barnacles can do is sit and watch while grifters-come-lately like Bleu cut in line to the big time platforms while they remain forever ineligible because of their public appearances at Charlottesville, readily available compilations of their careers as online misfits the mainstream could use to discredit their hosts and overall crippling autism. Forever consigned to their pee-smelling basements. And they know it. Eric July might have been mentored by Preston Poulter for a while and subscribes to an ideology which advocates for making children's rights a transactional commodity, but apparently Glenn Beck can take a look at him and say "at least he isn't one of these other freaks".

It's tempting to feel sorry for their lot, until one remembers that they gatekeep their own community just as rigidly and just as nepotistically as those who gatekeep them. Who can forget when Nerdrotic stripped Smiller of his janny wrench for posting IGG links to Lonestar without his permission? "Sorry blacklisted father-of-five trying to feed his family, you gotta do it for free" says the cultural commando all in against cancel culture. Nowadays though Smiller happily scrapes the shit off the meth dealer's boot if it means not having to crawl back to the Human Sunbeam, and recommends everyone in listening distance do the same. Their complaint boils down to it being not fair that other, competent and professional people are calling the shots on who gets to be a big-time eceleb maker and not them. My heart bleeds.

The point is, independent culture war clickbait creators are right to feel threatened by this development. Their competition has resources they cannot match and, once muscled out of their home turf, they will be yoked to similar contracts that turn over their entire online e-celeb persona into the property of The Blaze/Daily Wire etc. It's a serious problem. But it's not the viewers' problem. Why should I or anyone else care about the personal problems of Joe Q Youtuber? There's no shortage of people out there willing to blubber in front of a camera about how "their channel is being attacked" and how X is woke now. I got problems of my own and it's not like they care. Some optics management is required to convince the sheep that this is their problem as well. Thankfully, finding a blatant bullshit peddler in the right-wing youtube scene is the easiest thing imaginable and the only reason it doesn't happen more is because of the principle of Mutually Assured Destruction. Rippa gripes about the "digging" to find Elisa Bleu's grift, but I say "dusting off" might be the more appropriate term here.

Tell me if you've heard something like this before. Big Con are the lords and ladies of the right-wing youtube world, a group of outsider professionals that have usurped the anti-SJW superchat miking grift from the autogenous mom and pop outrage merchant retard grifters like Quartering and Brittany Venti, and seek to subjugate them to the role of lowly peasants of the kingdom, if you will. No longer. No longer.

1676654450981.png

"HAIL! HAIL MY WOOKIES, DROIDS AND EWOKS! HAIL TO THE MOTHAFUCKIN CHAT! THIS ELISA BLEU IS THE HEATHER ANTOS OF ANTI-SJW YOUTUBE! FUCK TIM POOLRUCCI! DOWN WITH BIG DYNAMITE! PEASANT UPRISING!"

Anna's comment section being the gathering place for conservative luminaries like Mark Dice

That Anna Mello of all people took upon herself the mantle of sweet Roro Love, and actually succeeded on a larger scale where Ro failed, is a sign that God truly has a sense of humor and the full completion of her three-year character arc. Unlike others, Tim Pool quickly caved to the mob once he saw his subcount drop, and we will see how this goes for him (his detractors still hate him and his followers now see him as willing to bend the knee to his detractors). July (accurately imo) notes that his good pal Sydney Watson's lawsuit against the Blaze for reading superchats is just as woke feminist and full of shit as anything Eliza Bleu ever said, and yet the crowd is curiously silent on this matter. Instead Quartering is trying to angle for a show with the now-freelance Sydney Watson. The inference left hanging is that the difference is one stance hurts Big Con outfits like Timcast and The Blaze and the other indirectly helps them by attacking someone attacking them. He noticed, and with his mumbling about how these guys are "getting in their own way", it's left hanging that Big Con has also noticed and will be acting accordingly. How is Crash the System doing these days, incidentally? YoungRippa wistfully muses on why can't this energy be turned against the hated leftist enemy, not fully grasping who the much more real and immediate enemy of his peers really is.

The other thing of note on July's stream is that, because of all of Elijah Schaffer's backstage hijinks, he has violated The Contract and so Schaffer's channel, social media profile and "You Are Here" program with its subscribers have been turned over to The Blaze's newest signatory, Alex Stein. Going from Elijah Schaffer to Alex Stein to avoid disaster is like jumping from a frying pan into the fire. Stein's one defining characteristic has been his desperate willingness to do anything to achieve fame, driven by a mortal terror as obvious as the ever-present pained eyes and rictus grin written on his face wherever he goes. It does not paint a picture of reliability or mental stability. That Beck thinks personally undersigning Stein and everything Stein does as a Blaze employee is going to end well makes me question how well thought out the weepy Cash4Gold Mormon's latest scheme and scam of signing on of very online far right e-personalities is. Then again, given how far Stein was willing to go for his meteoric rise in a couple of years, perhaps he'll prove just as willing to do whatever it takes to retain his position. If so, that will serve his new masters well.

Stein has used his access to "his" channel so far to reward his friends. Here he has Venti live to discuss the incredibly important historical event that was her three-week ban from twitter (what else?). His choice of spaceship-themed blue studio lighting really removing Venti's heavy makeup and accentuating her disfiguring facial sores and "Pigpen from Peanuts"-esque skintone. Well done. However it can't be assumed that The Blaze will allow Stein to run his program like a crappier version of the new Oz Show forever and intervention will be insisted on. This relates to Comicsgate because unless Stein runs a solo program, there is the matter of who will be his supporting ensemble on his giftwrapped channel with 135K subs. And the person at the front of that list is Cecil.

Clint Stoker's Dracula happened in 2022. Although with mostly negative criticism towards the story, length, pricing and both the physical and digital formatting of the book, it's an easy one to forget.
I think the most notable thing about the campaign was that it caused the schism with EVS, since Stoker wanted to launch on Kickstarter.

A bunch of the current CG slums campaigns are depressing to look at. A lot of it is the rage and pity backings mostly going away. These creators will have to try out other platforms to get more eyes on their campaigns if they want to stay in the indie game. Can you afford to lose even a measly 1,000 dollars by not using Kickstarter?

I seem to remember that Clint Stoker's Dracula concept starting as a joke on one of Frog's livestream's a couple years ago as an obvious grift to capitalize on Stoker's relation. Did I imagine that happening?

I'm not aware of that lore, but it's funny if true, since he wasn't the only Bram Stoker descendant that took advantage of the 125th Dracula anniversary to make a comic book.

I'm willing to bet that I watched that happen. He was a guest and then after dropping off the gang started riffing on the idea? That's where I first learned that he was related, I'd never made the connection with the last name until that stream.

I seem to remember Clint was on @FROG´s podcast and the question arised on whether if Clint was somehow related to Bram Stoker. Clint said he wasn´t sure and Van Sciver mused that if he was he had an opening there to profit by writing a Dracula story and promote it with the original author kinship angle.

"Clint Stoker" is just another mormon grifter. They make up fake genealogies of everyone as much as the mossad jews do.
I don't think the real Stoker descendants give a fuck since the direct line died out or married out. But it illustrates how these mormon cultists roll - fake christians, fake family connections and constant fucking grift. But what else to expect from a cult founded by a lunatic conman? Been downhill ever since.

It's odd to see shade thrown at Frog over tossing the cringe grifters of FNT under the bus. The Snyder moment was peak cuckery and exposed everyone in the Fandom Faggots as nothing more than clout chasing grifters.

It was one of the few moments he prioritized principle over money.

The problem is, what principle does Comicsgay stand for? It's not really fighting the culture war and it's not very conservative in any meaningful sense. Is it a consumer movement? If so, then Frogs actions are commendable. But given reaction to people making basic consumer arguments such as timely delivery, pricing, and professionalism against bad faith campaigns wouldn't be met with such harsh response by Comicsgay creators like Cecil and company.

So, if the point of Comicslate is to get paid, then sure. Cutting yourself off from the ridiculously dumb, retarded pay piggies of the Fandom Faggots by underestimating how thin skinned there former? meth loving overlord is was a mistake. Sure, lavishing retarded, bottle glass wearing, fat retards who just years ago desperately sought your attention would be humiliating. But more so than dressing like a queer and saying hail war campaign?

To add on to what @Mister Dongs said about Alex Stein, Alex is one of the lowest grifter scum imaginable. His whole life at this point has been trying to be famous. I know a lot of people hate PodAwful, but he had a decent show that talked about the history of Alex, and his attempts to be a big reality show star (where he was kicked out the first episode). I can't believe people don't see through his blatant grift. He isn't even funny btw.
If you want a laugh feel free to browse through the 100% real and authentic comments on Stein's 'new' channel by people who were subscribed to "You Are Here" and are definitely not The Blaze employees. It's funny until you realize that the reason they're doing this is because this actually works on some people.

Watching the NeverTrump Beck disgrace himself by picking up people who in many ways are emulating Trump's path to fame is a delicious dose of ironic hypocrisy.
