EVS tried to hook him up with the ISOM #1 interiors gig, but Caanan declined because he didn't want to work with another youtuber. Brand really fucked him up, I guess. He was also kind of trying to distance himself from that crowd since he was working for Marvel.
He has been doing Rippaverse covers under a pseudonym. Ternion, I think? I imagine he regretted his choice after ISOM made millions and his Marvel gig ended.

Yeah Dick was on the Flashcast and talked shit about Eric and ISOM 1, where he was forced to admit he never read the book and calling him a scammer among other things to his face. When he apparently read the book and had actual critique, Eric had no interest in taking advice from a clear shit stirrer and EVS thought it was good idea to try to force Eric to and now we're here.
EVS is coping hard. @FROG you're taking a long time because your work ethic is garbage and you think it's more important to shitpost on twitter and youtube. Don't promise to deliver a product and then get upset when people hold you to your self-imposed schedule. Especially when you're holding their money.

EVS doesn't post updates for his backers, ignores the comments on his crowdfunding pages (they're all detractors, dood!) and expects people to superchat him to hear news about shit they backed years ago.
On top of that, he's doing a post-apocalypse story in 2023 with characters no one cares about, because Walking Dead was popular over a decade ago when he first had the idea.
But clearly this is the guy to moralfag about the Maggs troon and give people advice about storytelling and the ethics of crowdfunding.
Although to be fair, there is very llttle he can do or say anymore that would make his most dedicated dents to ditch him. Those people will carry him for another decade (or until all the burgers get him).

I got Cyberfrog #1 out of curiosity and because I was very much pro-ComicsGate in spirit. It took years to arrive and I thought I wasn’t going to get the next EVS production. Even though Cyberfrog #1 was artistically impressive I found that in my 40’s it was too boring to read for more than a page or two, I don’t think I’ve read the whole thing. I was impressed by the silver foil cover in theory, but in practice it didn’t fold flat.
Anyway…
I thought I had give EVS a try and that was enough (although I like his sperging on X/YouTube, though the super chats make it impossible to listen to a full stream. A few months ago, out of the blue, I got a decent sized package from ALLCAPS COMICS and sure enough I got Cyberfrog #2 and all these extra goodies. It was so far after the fact I had completely forgotten supporting the campaign (I think I had gotten my Doctorate and gone through Covid in the meantime). I contacted EVS to make sure it wasn’t a mistake. Anyway, it’s visually impressive, but comics are really just for dullards imo.

There would be more credence to Dick’s criticisms of he read #1 before he critiqued it, but since Dick is a manhole, his opinions on the comic book obviously won’t mean anything to July, so I could understand Eric, even if he’s thin-skinned.

Perch hates CG but tries to avoid saying anything tangible because he knows they'll turn it into content and keeps it to countersignaling. Shane Davis' semi-regular efaps of Perch's videos seems to get him really assblasted for some reason. A few months ago he got hammered and was challenging Jon Malin and Shane to a fist fight, which everyone laughed at.
