You are really behind, the Lightbringer comic artist was outed as having been convicted of raping a 14 year old.
I think Dark Gift Comics who published it maybe wanted to make a legit independent comic but is inept at practically every aspect of that process from background checks to drawing and art direction to timeliness of fulfilment, to holding a cigarette like a woman. He's also mentioned having dated a trans woman so there may have been another motive there.

I don't know if I have it in me to watch hours on end cope streams from Frog anymore. Frog works hard? Really? He lives on Youtube chasing super chats. There is something to be said for getting a commercial product out and letting it stand as is. Video games, tv, movies all have release dates and if Frog had business sense, he'd also get his books out in a more timely manner. We saw the result of George Lucas endless tinkering with Star Wars. Speilberg admits the Walkie Talkie change in ET was a mistake. As for comics, plenty of artists work the monthly grind and put out quality stuff.

He should‘ve stopped trying to be CG Godfather & published one good comic-annual a year to maintain his “cred”, because he clearly enjoys shucking’n’jiving on Youtube more. He’s hooked on superchats. Even EJ’s books will drop by half in a year or 2 as many back them just to “own the libs”, not love for the medium.

That leaves YT, where Ethan’s firebombed his network & needs a new one (Dick & Vito‘s). His behavior seems to have driven off most of his more entertaining cohorts, and his subs have been stagnant for years. Even Az has 3x the audience. Almost every stream now is EVS, Pornstache Shane, occasionally Malin, and a calvacade of “zeroes”. His streams used to be comedy gold & widely topical, now they’re essentially aimless infomercials and infights, a slog. And not a sketch stream in months to show “I’m working on it”, because those get less simpbux. If he was emulating Howard Stern, he quickly went from 1990’s Stern to boring & petty 21st century Stern.

Ethan can cope & seethe 7 days a week over EJ taking shortcuts, the fact remains that Eric is far better at publishing & logistics. And aren’t A.I. thumbnails the same kind of “cheating” that using Sketchup assets are? Eric July is the “comic book guy” now, Ethan, you’re a Youtuber.

VikkiVerse became a veteran steveador on the subject of optimal space usage. Next came the open plotting against the Rippaverse Warehouse once the time for simply criticizing it had passed. Dick Masterson would dispatch his pet retard Riley to drive out to Plano to put stickers on the glass, to which Rippa responded by putting out videos musing that he would be well within his rights to use lethal force in defense of the warehouse. Soon Nick Rekieta would weigh in on this important subject. Rippa's fans on social media speculate that his competitors are threatened by the Rippaverse Warehouse, and no doubt scheme to get a piece of the action themselves. Now we have RippaSend, which for a 'modest' fee any youtuber can harness the power of this legendary building.

Even his 90s cyberfrog is cringe edgy 90s stuff. After over a decade of sjw comics people want to go back to simple generic cape stories good guys win bad guys lose IMO.

I always thought it was a self-insert. That the bugs who had taken over the world since the 1990s were the SJWs and that poor Ethan was reluctantly leading the ungreatful surviving humans in fighting back while constantly being stabbed in the back. In many ways, its more "I am legend" than walking dead with one single character rather than a community of characters surviving, interacting. and fighting back.

I'll clarify a few things so Dongs doesn't have to go digging for stuff.

- Novella got put on Indiegogo basically as an experiment. Was curious to see how prose would do on a crowdfund, and the answer is obviously "not great." So at some point I'll put it on Amazon. I'm hoping to put other books I've already got finished out there for easy purchase as well, given how crowdfunding is getting the side eye from a lot of people. Can't really blame them for that either.
- Yes, I did quit RT around the time of the Ukraine thing kicking off. Moved on to an editing position at a sports website, but journalistic work pays shit so I'm just gonna do something normal and go back to doing writing/editing/YouTube stuff as my side hustle.
- I don't have any issues with EVS, and I don't think he has any with me currently unless I missed something. He got mad at me for the Razorfist thing ages ago, then we had arguments here and there, then we talked it out on some stream. I can't remember if it was Well Read's channel or another. It's been a minute. I know he has Leem on his shows, but maybe it'll work out for him, sort of like Beetlejuice on Howard Stern or some shit.
- As a fun note, @Fascist Kirk was pretty close on my height. I'm 6'-2".

How long until you have to affirm your loyalty to Ethan now you mentioned arguments? Any idea why he is so opposed to delivering his comics?

At first things start off promising but when Cyberfrog tries to take the newcomer under his wing as a sidekick Gorillatron goes "nah imma swing different" and swipes a semi trailer full of canned food for the humans living in the swamp. Soon Gorillatron is all the humans can talk about because he's actually delivering food and people aren't really talking about the robot frog anymore who's also there. Cyberfrog gets involved with a bunch of gayops against Gorillatron and the prosperous small city he soon established just outside the state limits of New Jersey, during which all the swamp humans Cyberfrog was supposed to be minding die off from a combination of starvation and dysentary.

I think Doug did care, once upon a time. This would have been long before CG though, mind you.

Ethan focusing on streaming, to the extent he neglects his books, I get and don't consider much of a loss. I never thought he was a particularly good artist, and his incompetence when it comes to getting a product in customer's hands should be as plain as day to anyone now.

But Doug? Doug leaning hard into the streaming madness actually makes me feel a bit of sorrow. Doug has talent. Or at least he did.
