Redo of Healer is a BDSM porn anime about a teenager who joins a Final Fantasy-esque adventuring party and gets raped a lot, then travels back in time so he can use his magic to rape his equally underage tormentors back. It was all the rage a year or two ago on Flashcast, Rekieta Law and the JACK show praising it for its edgy content, bashing the triggered SJW puritans who denounced it, and debating the morality of the protagonist's actions re: his harem of brainwashed child rapeslaves. There's nothing really to get 'out of context'. Vito hasn't even found out about RGE yet.

All of his books were on time. I think BFB was even a little early actually, but he fucked up the print count on the books, the sketchbooks to be specific and some oversea backers got screwed over so he gave them digital copies instead and a special editon BFB on his own dime. If Doug was still in the comic scene, I bet we would have both EWJ3 and BFB3, maybe even a part 4 by now before we even see a glimpse of CF3 being completed

Around the time I discovered Comicsgate, TenNapel was still in the fold. I missed the chance to back his campaign as a CG project, and to be honest once he left, it always made me wary of CG, especially with the level of animosity aimed at Doug. For sure, he has major malfunctions and is one scruffy, dirty motherfucker; but my principal interest when I want to back an artist is in the quality of their comics and stories, not their personal hygiene.
As I’ve said before, I was close to backing Fraga, Charlie’s London and Nolan’s Chenoo in the early days of me finding the movement. Each time though, there was something that just told me ‘no’ and I couldn’t really shake the level of confrontation toward Doug, and in general the ‘drama’ the endless CG livestreams indulged in.
Personal opinions are just that - and in mine I consider Doug to be the best creative who ever graced the group. If I was forced at gunpoint to back anyone else in CG it would be Shane Davis, but only after pleading with the gunman for several hours and squinting to check if the chamber might be empty.

Kind of regret not getting Big Foot Bill when TenNapel was talking about it on Babylon Bee. Sucks he doesn't want to do it anymore. But maybe he'll give it another go in a few years.
Funny though. Of the three, Nolan is the only one to have gotten the book out. Sounds like London will finally be shipping next month. And Fraga? This anniversary is flowers. Next years is wood.

I realized this is more of a Nick Rekieta question than a comicsgater question, but of all the anime series and genres that are out there - sci-fi, fantasy, horror, comedic slice of life - why is it that the one anime series he likes is some horrific-sounding rape and revenge rape story?

Given Nick is not much of an anime fan, I'm confident he was introduced to it by somebody else. Possibly YF.
If anybody should happen to find out the backstory behind it though, they should kindy tag @Himedall All-seeing Waifu. They're writing the new Rekieta OP, and it's a question that comes up semi-frequently.
