Zack used to do this thing when his enemies (who all happened to have jobs in comics that he envied) would make what he called "baby-brained takes." Basically, "googoo gaga I don't understand," when they definitely did understand and were pretending not to in order to own the CHUDs.
Well, that's what Zack is doing here. Nobody has been clamoring for a series based on the character Agatha Harkness, and nobody thinks it's going to be a hit. Nobody wants this show. So, "who was this made for?" is a valid criticism. But Zack pretends not to understand the Drinker's snark here, just to be a dick.
Finding out that Zack actually worked with the Critical Drinker on one of the Rambo books is the missing element to the story of why he's doing this. For whatever reason they must have had a falling out and now Zack very obviously specifically targeting him, regardless of his lame rhetoric about "Birthday Party Clowns".
And after Drinker and the crew helped boost one of Zack's floundering books. Really burning some bridges he could have really used in the future. Total stupidity.
