Average Ya Boi Zack fan.

Zach is delusional, Romulus had a 60%ish drop off it's second week out. It's called word of mouth Zach, it's how normal people with jobs and lives communicate.
Unfortunately, Zack and the less than zeroes in NuCG Anti-anti-SJW camp are so fucking retarded they can't even keep their story straight. FNT and group are both powerful enough to sway box-office just by putting out a few videos and streams. But also they are just grifting nobodies who never made nothing in their life and can't hold a candle to the Kings of Comicsgate ™

Also unfortunately, they don't understand that if your media gets 13 positive reviews and 2 negative reviews... it doesn't mean it's a good show... It means 13 out of 15 people are retarded. If you really want to know if people liked Romulous, look at the drop off. Same with any movie. Romulous I gathered is an average film because it's dropoff was pretty high, but not earth shattering, and it held legs for a few more weeks, it's not completely bombed... and you want to know what FNT said about it? "It was okay" which sounds about right for the box-office... Same with Furiosa.

Know what was called a "piece of garbage" and showed? Borderlands and The Crow.

So no, Zack... They don't hold sway, and they never claimed to. They HAVE however said multiple times, that it's their opinion and that there will be times their audience doesn't even agree with them. They don't hold your hand and say 'never see this film and miss out on the art' of Acolyte and Ahsoka... they give an opinion and that's all. Unlike nuZack who gives an opinion now and expects you to FALL IN LINE.

also @FROG now that your child had a full on tard meltdown, what age do you think she'll be getting a fat piss fetish boyfriend you can exploit Onlyfans money for? When Ava cooks you meals, what does she typically cook? How much does her dealer charge?

1. He plans to start with the cover or page he plans to use and hopes to get "fair use" protection.
2. He plans to make changes to these covers by making a collage with random panels from the comics. He'll use this to make his project "transformative."
4. He'll add stupid jokes to get "satire and parody protection."
5. He'll make sure to cover up logos and trademarks, because he knows those are trouble.

i.e. Zack's going to feed pointers to some AI to write and draw the comic for him and will barely even do any editing.

So what's left? Clout chasing. He's taking a page from Ethan's book and trying to create drama to juice his channel. But I don't see how it works. It hasn't worked for Ethan, he's barely clinging to his audience of hardcore paypigs, he's only lost interest from his fanbase over time. Attacking guys like Nerdrotic is not going to bear fruit. They have surprisingly few active haters and most of those haters are small potatoes and aren't going to want to listen to Zack anyway.

So of all of Ethan Van Sciver's playbook, Meyer's gonna rip off precisely the page with Frog's only losing move: bitch and moan over more successful breadtubers.

If women didn't want to watch the marvels, what makes them think they would watch Agatha?

Don't women allegedly watch more streaming than men and are easier prey to advertising?

I remember saying the same thing. Good that more and more people realise he cannot keep his story straight. Same goes for his viewing habits (bah-dam tiss!).

They might not always agree with the audience but it does not matter as their opinion reflects the ones the general public has much more closely than Zack 's. The average consumer is, in the eyes of Zack, an primitive pygmy that chants "OUGA CHUGGA OUGA CHUGGA" around a computer monitor permanently set on Youtube.

The average Youtube channel that regularly updates content is either cheap entertainment or instructional. (Some channels are both.) I'm either watching the channel to figure out how to set up Bazzite on an Odroid H4, or I'm watching it to have something playing in the background while I'm doing some boring repetitive task (like moving Steam games on to my new Bazzite mini pc). I mean let's say I'm watching Red Letter Media's Re:View of Robocop 2. I already formed my opinion of Robocop 2 during the month it came out in 1990. (I thought it was pretty good but not as good as the first one.) I'm not trying to find out if it's worth seeing. I'm just hoping for some light entertainment that doesn't cost as much as a Disney slop subscription.

A really good Youtube channel will hold my attention even if I'm not doing some boring task, and there are a few that can do that. That said, I don't really watch the channels that Zack complains about regularly. I watched a few more Critical Drinker reviews recently than I normally would just because Zack attacked him, so he should thank Zack for the views. (His preview of Agatha whatever where he asked "who is this for" he answers in the preview "aging, childless wine aunts." Not "girls" as Zack would have it.)

That's probably not a bad estimate.

Zack might be a radioactive slop consuming, terminally contrary meathead, but that doesn't necessitate the conclusion that a positive majority opinion = high quality as far as artistic endeavors go. A lot of stuff that gets positively reviewed is clearly still garbage.

You know it's weird, Zack is fine with Autistic Lesbians getting lots of money for Disney Plus shows, but he hates it when they make comics. He doesn't understand why Disney spending a huge amount of money on these bad TV shows is a much bigger deal than spending a much smaller amount on similar trash in comic books.

He doesn't see the contradiction here. Don't worry Zack, enjoy Agatha.

That's awesome, thank you, I had no idea we could still access this sort of information.

Is that half a million in superchats his total over 7 years? I'm conflicted on whether it's too much or too little money.
On the one hand, it's money for doing nothing. On the other hand, sitting in front of that webcam is a full-time job for him. In terms of opportunity cost, he could have made that same amount of money by doing 50 something commissions over these 7 years.

It's about 70k a year. It doesn't sound much, especially when you factor in he has now two dependants that will need medical care for the rest of their lives. I honestly thought he would have made more.

Do any Americans have an opinion on this? No idea what the cost of living is like over there.

In a vacuum, one person making $70k per year near the middle of your career with no real prospects for advancement is like, the lower end of middle class. If you don’t spend money like a retarded nigger you can easily live a comfortable life without worrying about putting food on the table or keeping a roof over your head and have enough left over for modest hobbies and vacations. Throw in two children with chronic medical issues and no spouse providing a second income and things become much harder to judge.

If he was ready for retirement when he left DC (in other words he had money and investments banked, and owns his house) $70k a year is a decent extra retirement income. It's not really a good income for a person who is still working for a living though.

"Well you see Comics are different than TV, so what I do is different than the birthday clowns"

In reality it a mixture of his mental retardation, his love of slop content in movies, his jealousy of the views and successes that other channels get, his inability to deliver on content promise and the deaths of Ed Piskor(probably spelled wrong) and Comicstorian.

Well, in EVS case, he also gets royalties from when he did comics. Plus whatever he is pocketing from campaigns and possibly even eBay. And covers/sketches he might do. So he's possibly doing fairly well all things considered. Didn't notice if it's in the picture, but he's possibly also making a decent chunk of change with ads in the video if he enabled that.

This line from a Red Letter Media episode makes me think of Zack, "Who cares? You fill your face with popcorn, you dumb fat cows. Eat the slop before the slaughter, you fucking pigs." Though I'm not sure if Zack eats popcorn when he attends the Cinema Arts.

Is that before or after Youtube takes their 30% or whatever cut?
Not sure, but looking at the numbers a bit more, those 2,226 highest viewers for his livestreams seem a bit low. I could swear he got close to 3k people during the Leem interrogation stream last year (way before the July drama), it was a very popular stream. Maybe I'm misremembering or I'm missing something.

What this estimate is saying, is that for every 15 people who bothered watching and reviewing it, there's thousands more who didn't feel the need to review it, most likely, by historical exidence, because they felt a negative review would actually affect their getting more press benefits.

As a business who doesn't give a shit about ethics what would you rather do? Write a negative review that could land you in hot water, and not get invited to get these exclusive earlier screeners? Or just not write a review and keep everything intact?

The problem with the fact that critics can pick and choose what they review, and could get rewarded/punished for their positive/negative review is that we would never get a clear, and true gauge of what was liked or not liked. It's the same with the dreaded "review bombing" that always happens with bad movies. Personally, this is why I care more about looking at the box-office numbers, they gauge interest much more than reviews can. Sometimes, it doesn't work, I'd never say the Transformers movies are "good movies" but they always make a shit ton of money, especially overseas. The Star Wars movies are another good example except, you can at least see a decline in box office for the most part. No system is perfect, but saying 'it got good reviews on rotten tomatoes' is a bad stance to take to gauge interest.

"Interestingly, this delayed release would have a huge effect on the brand many years later. The first live-action movie came out right at the time when the kids from when the original series hit mainland China had grown up and were at the right age for some good old nostalgia-indulging, and many were coming into more disposable income to boot thanks to surges in the middle class, adding even more to the already-lunatic amount of profit the film franchise had earned elsewhere. Thus, the Chinese market became, and remains, a very sizable chunk of Hasbro's financial interests. " -- https://tfwiki.net/wiki/The_Transformers_(Chinese_toyline)

So, this lines up with Star Wars in the US. Star Wars toys were huge when my brother was a kid, in China it seems the delay in Transformer toys reaching the Chinese market meant they had been big with the kids who were adults when the Transformers movies got into theaters. My guess is people will put up with a certain amount of slop content if it tickles those nostalgia urges. This would explain why certain big properties can make money in theaters even when they aren't that good. (I also think this explains most of the success of the Barbie movie.)

Of course, the kids who are growing up with this slop content rather than the actual good stuff that induced the nostalgia in the first place probably won't fall for the nostalgia bait in 20 years. I wonder what will be big with them.
