Kingdom Come is all Ross, Waid just helped out with the dialogue and story beats. The main character, Norman McCay is literally Alex's father, United Church of Christ minister Clark Ross.

That was Steve Darnall through in through. You can read Ross's original 1993 proposal for Kingdom Come in the Alex Ross Millennium Edition (Updated and Expanded!) that Wizard Published.

I always found it funny that Ross looks like a character right out of one of his painted covers, even at Norwood Reaper level 7.
