This campaign will actually be easy to complete because someone else is going to do the writing and the artwork.

I think this is going to be the new model going forward - Ethan gets other people to do the hard work of bringing his concepts to life while he scoops up the majority of the proceeds. He already has the Fearsome campaign and now this.

Its like the Penny Arcade guys, they have interns draw for them now because it's just a money printing machine on automatic.

You’d think, but then why did he drag ass so long with Matt Martin’s Snowman?

The time to have become Valiant 2 was five years ago when he had a huge pool of backers. Now he’s got to pay everyone actually making the book out of a much smaller pot of cash. I don’t foresee good outcomes.

it would be easy if it wasn't @FROG and co. Having someone else draw it will shave maybe 6 months off the 4-6 year wait time.

I haven't paid much attention the last couple of years, so feel free to add anything I might have missed. Maybe that's the real problem: we're a few years too late for a Zack thread, because he has fallen into obscurity.

I have a character named "Mustang Sonata". But I'm also a car guy IRL. I still have the 2008 Mustang that I owned when I graduated from High School.

But it becomes pretty paper thin when a guy that probably can't tell the difference between the coolant intake and the windshield washer fluid tank---goes 1 to 1'ing a name off of a car his son probably told him about.

Just stay in your grocery getter lane Ethan.

Make sure you tell Hunter all about your gay ass Hellephant and watch the excitement drain out of his eyes as he sees some ugly freakshow character with a mangled face instead of a hot car.

This section you cut out is mostly about a fucking car engine. He put more thought and wordsmithing into describing this engine he wants to fuck than the fucking character he shat out of his brain. Is this actually a snip from his campaign info? Why is he so invested in this engine?
 
So, beyond the fact that he's taking money for a book when he's years late on his last 3, does EVS have any legit story ideas or are they all just stupid Meme pun shit like "reignbow the brute" and "hellephant"

Like does this guy have any actual legit stories he wants to tell beside continuing his terrible frog book from the 90s nobody read?

For what it's worth, I remember sitting in on a livestream several months back where Ethan found out something else was called Hellephant and was soliciting alternative suggestions from the chat. For some reason I thought it was a character but I guess it was this engine.

Yeah, that huge audience of people who actually spend money on mainstream comics these days. Such a large customer base generating so much money for mainstream comics.

It was just a couple of years ago that Zack was talking about how comics were failing and how comic stores everywhere were closing. Back then he said the people defending the state of the mainstream comic industry as healthy were delusional.

Amazing trailer, it really captures that Wrath of the H3ll3phant will contain what appears to be a H3ll3phant, that's angry, and potentially involves a cage. The trailer really added and expanded our knowledge of the project, it provided new information not shown in title of the book with the addition of the cage. Maybe in the next trailer we'll see if there's grass, hardwood, or god knows what under that cage.

As I said before, Zack has some lolcow potential and shares several traits with many more well known cows:
  • Doesn't listen to valid criticism/good advice
  • Doubles down on retarded ideas
  • Unwarranted level of self-confidence
  • Obsession with pop culture
  • A grossly unhealthy diet​
Anybody can start a Zack thread whenever they like. We've been talking about his stupid shit for a while now so maybe he can keep one going longer than Eric July's thread. Although you're probably right that a Zack thread is a bit late. Prime time for that would have been when he was still screaming about comics in his Kia after buying a pair of $10 shoes from Walmart. I don't think it's Zack falling into obscurity as much as it's Zack has toned his act way, way down. Compared to 2017 Zack, 2024 Zack is fucking boring.

I actually thought that Comic Book: The Comic Book was someone on here just memeing. Then I got an email about it because I bought a comic from him like 6 years ago. And, no, Zach actually didn't think that this name was too retarded.
