Richard, Kraven the Hunter was never going to do well. I don't know why the idiots at Sony greenlit a Kraven the Hunter film, but if they were going to do that it needed a tiny budget for both effects and marketing. It was a niche movie that wasn't Hollywood blockbuster material. I mean I could understand Sony taking a chance on this formula once, but after Morbius why would they do this again? (It would have made more sense to do a Vulture movie starring Michael Keaton, or a Green Goblin movie starring William Dafoe.)

Of course the Sony exec was going to blame critics, who else was he going to blame himself? His bosses? They spent too much money on a movie any person who understood movies could have told them was risky.

Why is he so retarded? This seems to be deliberate retardation, but could he really be this stupid and out of touch?
 
To be fair none of those movies were outright terrible. I even defended Madame Web recently for being not awful like the hyperbolic redditors like to claim. Nobody watches them because Spider-Man is not in them and never will be in them, and nobody wants a movie that has Sydney Sweeney playing sexy fine Spiderwoman only for 30 seconds in a flashback.

I thought the BPC discourse was bad enough but I think him talking about video games with such strong conviction while clearly knowing nothing about them might be more frustrating. It's like if your boomer parents tried to talk about video games or anime but they did it with righteous indignation.

Pretending people own PS5s is one thing, but glazing VR games? Really? VR is still a gimmick, Half-Life Alyx is the closest we've gotten to a "proper" game in the VR format but even that is largely seen as a tech demo (even by the creators) and even it's sales were lackluster considering it's part of a legendary game franchise people have been demanding a new entry in for 20 years at this point. This Batman VR game is on NO ONES radar, let alone pop culture channels that mainly focus on TV and movies. And not everyones has bank loan money they can skim off of to buy an overpriced VR headset instead of putting that money into their business like the loan is supposed to be for.

Zack couldn't make it through an hour of playing Marvel Rivals because it's a hyper competitive twitch based shooter and he is an old man who has no experience with games. But he expects Gary who can't open a door in a single player RPG of all people to cover it? Really?

"...kids cartoon I was never going to watch" isn't even accurate. Gary watched all of X-Men 97 and gave it a positive review. He's watched every Spiderman television incarnation to date, He's told the story repeatedly of how annoyed he was by one of the more recent cartoons hat both he and his son were huge fans of that ended prematurely due to rights issues and the reboot that replaced it was a major downgrade. He is literally the hyper fixated neckbeard nerd disney banks on making a portion of the audience of this show on top of it's normal kid's demographic.
 
Actual kids don't have Disney shows and movies on their radar. The only "fans" they have are autistic creepy weirdos whose fetish Kathleen Kennedy and friends are pandering to...
