I rail against him now, but at one point I bought his books because I believed in what he said.

I bought Expendables 1 and 2, and passed on his Kane and Lynch series because the art looked god awful "on purpose"
I'm not going to say they are shit, it's tempting. But they just aren't. However, they aren't worth the 20 dollars I paid for them. They are highly forgettable, and for as not terrible as they are, they also aren't amazing. They aren't high art in story telling, they simply: "are books"

Which is why it's hilarious to me that Richard is acting like a fag with a stick up his ass about Eric as if his work is the epitome of the indie comic scene. He didn't change the world, he never will, he should just retire because he isn't cut out for any aspect of this.
 
A young actress or any actress for that matter, saying something dumb has no impact on anything. Maybe it impacts a movie promotion and that is only when it starts rolling downhill, in terms of social media and entertainment media. The captured audience of FNT/The Fandom Menace can't bring down a movie or talent in Hollywood.

I believe Nerd and other grifters tried to play that game with Cynthia Erivo in the lead-up to Wicked, it had no impact because the people who went and saw Wicked, most likely aren't losers watching Heels vs Babyface (a bald unintelligent man who looks like a gorilla) rant about pronouns while playing a video game.

In a comic book, when you had the invasion of untalented people, there's nowhere to hide, 23 pages or so of decompressed storytelling for 3 to 5 bucks an issue. When it sucks, and it did suck in 2016 and on, you were getting taken in terms of what you were buying. You can go see a movie, and even if it's flawed, you still have the movie-going experience, performance, direction, musical score, and so on. You can have a lot of fun at a 2-star or 2 and 1/2 star movie. Comics is simply three things: IP, writer, and artist. That's it. The products are simply too different and the expectations are too different. One is an experience, the other is reading alone.

What was going on in comics at the height of 'woke' is much different than, and I think the first woman to cross Nerd and his lemmings was Brie Larson for some reason, there's no there there. It's all smoke and mirrors. And given that they are supposedly against cancel culture, it's the same tactics. Trying to destroy someone's career based on political opinions. Yeah, a lot of people in Hollywood are left of center, who gives a fuck? Plenty of them campaigned with Harris, but the swing voters didn't listen and voted for President Trump. And then they can go watch a movie or watch some sports or whatever the hell. Normal people don't 'live' their politics.

No one's life is going to end just because fucking Snow White is a so-so movie.

I have the first 3 Jawbreakers. It's pretty obvious he put all of his good ideas into the G0d-King arc, and after that he was just running on fumes. Jawbreakers meet Donkey Kong? Jawbreakers meet interdimensional Satan?

He's pretty good at writing humor, I actually laughed for real at a few of the jokes in the Jawbreakers books, and it's hard to get a laugh out of somebody with the written word plus static illustrations.

But he's ultimately he's a guy that's just like 99.9% of the writers out there. He doesn't have any stories worth telling.

Not seeing someone's film isn't cancel culture dumbfuck. People can spend their money however they want for whatever reason they want.

Cancel culture is when you're blacklisted from Hollywood because you are a Republican or you lose your office job because people are harassing your company because you uttered an unapproved opinion.

What's its competition this weekend? There's a good chance it might be #1 at the box office this week. That's all it would take for Richard to claim victory. Never mind if it makes back its budget or not. Richard is literally too dumb to understand that part.

Nothing this weekend, nor next weekend, in fact the next possibly big release is Minecraft on April 4th. So it'll probably end up doing what Captain America did, except I expect it to make a little more because it's definitely more family friendly and there aren't many family movies out right now.

Chalk it up to great release schedule
