The High Council to Friday Night Tights is an all time legendary bag fumble EVS. We all know talking about Rippa while begging for money like a pan handler on the side of the road is waaaaaaaay better than complaining about Hollywood once a week for thousands of dollars like those lying grifting youtubers do.

Just to be clear, I don't think 'The High Council' rebranded into FNT, I think Nerdrotic made that as a separate thing with Jeremy from Geeks and Gamers. Reason I say that, is the original High Council was EVS, Jeremy, and the guy from World Class Bullshitters, the person who ended up dating Jesse Milestone (famous for mental breakdowns on camera). I don't even know if EVS was ever on FNT originally, but I will say EVS quitting that entire talking heads network was an all-time mistake, considering how successful and influential almost everyone on FNT or even GnG channels are.

It would be one thing if the whole livestream grift just "wasn't for him", a la Richard. I know I would probably vomit live or rope if I had to pretend that their favorite topics were worthy of extensive and repeated discussion three, five, eight years after TLJ. But livestreaming clearly is the thing that he loves the most about being a post-employable eceleb! It's what he does every day instead of the other thing that would have made him successful, shipping product.

The only thing the FNT scene lacks is obsessive, autistic, revisionist infighting. Which I guess is probably where the partnership fell apart. With a little creativity, Ethan could have had his bitch fights in his own little kingdom while changing masks for the big weekly stream, but I guess that would be too much for his ego to bear.

The High council Timeline

Pilot 2018: started off as Jeff Hicks (main figure of World Class Bullshitters, Zack & EVS)
2018-2019: Jeff, Geeks & Gamers & EVS
Evs was the first to go as comicsgate live was becoming its own popular entity, Jeremy left when his own streaming show got popular but there were a few times the two got into arguments (started by ethan) but I believe the issue might have been due to them having to switch channels to host the channel.
2020-2021: This is where You started to see Tom from midnight edge, Mecha Random & a random person become the Cohosts, we all know what happened there.
2022: That crazy bitch Mary mayhem came.
2022-present: Jeff found a more stable fixture of having Caffeinated Wolf (Andrew who is a rippaverse editor), Script doctor & sometimes wdwpro (the guy who's apparently worked in Disney parks, is a reputable leaker. He runs that park place that Zack discovered and tarding out over)

i think FNT was always it's own thing because i remember it or something similar going live around the same time as THC. That was the show that Gary would talk about more broader geek topics where as "The Inquisition" which was another show he was doing at the time, was with noted mental patient Doomcock and was mostly star trek.

It was the predecessor to FNT. But ultimately, I agree. Did the remaining cohost of High Council agree to buckle down and rebrand entirely to FNT? Absolutely not. But IMO. EVS leaving the Star Wars equivalent of FNT was the catalyst that created the "free real-estate" easily taken by G+G and Nerdrotic which ultimately turned into FNT. EVS was already doing what Nerdrotic does in FNT with High Council. FNT just talks about more subjects than Star Wars and stuff related to it. High Council > Bunch of filler seasons and spinoffs > FNT

I wonder how somebody like Billy Tucci nowadays feels about hitching his wagon to the EVS Express Train?

I guess he and EVS have been friends for decades, long before CG was a thing, but he never seemed comfortable on EVS streams even back when EVS was drawing a big audience. (No clue about the recent past, since I don't watch EVS any more.) And now that there's no real payback in the association?

Then stop calling yourself a comic creator and trying to "sell books" if you you want to stream. People would have more respect for evs if he said he's fully streaming. Doug did the transition and he's not fraudulent putting books out to trap his customers, his custumers know he's a qtard streamer.
