I agree he's got a snowball's chance in hell of getting back in, but I really think he's trying.
He's looking at July's success, realizing he's not gonna be able to take him down, realizing CG is dying, and then... before you know it... he's looking to roll back the clock, and his career, to a pre-CG state.
Like Zack, he's dressing it up as "Well, the problem has been fixed now," but we all know that's bullshit.
He's an old man by industry standards, he will be expensive compared to some inexperienced activist genderqueer trans blubberwhale that can submit work on time and works for cheap, he has a reputation of being an alt-right chud even if he tries to pivot, his return to DC will be flooded with outrage from Bluesky, he can't deliver work on time and needs wrangling - which won't be easy considering his ego and delusions, he is a pathological liar that starts and creates divisions within any group he affiliates with, he licks urinals, and there are years of embarrassing YouTube videos that are PR disasters waiting to happen.
That and the trannies ruling DC will walk if he gets rehired to DC.
So yeah, unless he somehow manages to give Gunn AND Zaslav the best blow jobs they have ever experienced, he isn't moving his fat ass from his Trashchat seat anytime soon.
Imagine if you will that @FROG got rehired at DC.... what's the going rate for a top tier list artist (assuming he'd be considered one)? Let's say he'd get $350 a page? If he draws a complete 22 page floppy a month, that's $92400 a year.... before taxes.... Okay, but that's if if IF he always gets a monthly floppy, no vacay, no down time for the rest of his working life, little time to stream. And because he's a star he'd be expected to sell over 40K units, else he'd be sacked or his fees renegotiated downwards. Plus, he'd have to keep deadlines, sure he was known for breaking them before he left DC but he wouldn't come back to the old work environment. He could of course add extra income by inking his own pencils which would add abour 40K a year (and I think I may be optimistic here).
Would this be better than trying to deliver his unfinished projects and perhaps earn enough goodwill to still crowdfund about 150K per annum (before taxes) like Lim/Pellegrini or B. Pulido do? Keep in mind that on top of printing, shipping and handling costs, this would only require him to draw the equivalent of some 3-4 floppies a year
