Chuck Dixon is a gun for fire, he can't go around smacking down Comicsgate because fools with deep pockets will pay him $3,000 to write a shallow Punisher ripoff.
He's a long game guy, and as much as CG has pushed his buttons, he knows there's whales there that can pay his bills.
So when you hear "mild" criticism, to Ethan and DC's Assorted Balding Rejects, that's a knife to their throat.
Chuck's old guard too, back when opening your mouth, meant risking taking food off the table.
He knows what he did, he knows that he just threw a grenade into the CG Kings tent.
