Just a reminder, this guy shot teenagers in the back as they tried to swim away from him when he attacked them on an island. They were there to learn how to care for the fake refugees, and he thought that an atrocity would scare his fellow countrymen away from bringing in more hostile influence. I thought these guys were setting out to go after the big 2, not this circle-jerk firing squad they have set up. These people are all retards and Eric July seems to be the only one of them actually succeeding which makes the rest of them all doubly retarded. Zack needs to understand, the people he's trying to impress don't forgive or believe in redemption, he will never get invited to the big boy's table no matter how much he picks up their talking points, the best he could be to them is a trophy kept firmly on the shelf.

People thinking of crowdfunding as fundraisers are stuck in 2012 though. It's just a sales platform. Even Kirkman's Skybound used it for selling GI Joe omnibuses, they weren't fundraising.

It's a bad time of year to open one,but the hopes is to just build up a following in a genre and stick with it like anything else. It gets a few backers, I put out a couple more, once I have a trilogy drop on Amazon and run ads for kindle unlimited and get a steady flow of genre readers. It's how the book market works now.

Mags is the one that got away for Richard. A brief acknowledgement but now when they pass in the lunchroom, Richard doesn't even get a glance.

Got curious because Kickstarter recommended other projects to me from Richard's, so I looked at their numbers.

Some of these have been open for longer, granted, I show them because they are pretty much unknowns, but they as far as I can see, get their work out, and it looks decent by whatever standards you want to give them. Not for my liking, except maybe Swat kats, but the work is there, it's given to their customers, and they are beating Richard, who was making six digits not too long ago. I'm also not saying Richard CANNOT pull it together and get his dwindled fandom to back his work, but the fact that he can't clear these guys in a few days when he used to within hours, says something.

Maybe stop worrying about Rippa, Richard. Put your head down, jerk off to Absolute Batman, give Mags a call (I'm telling you, just being direct might go a long way) and more importantly, it's close to Christmas, stop buying toys for yourself and buy toys for your children.

That sucks. I used to watch the streams you guys did when I stopped watching EVS because the "kings" format and subsequent EJ obsession were profoundly boring. You guys managed to keep things generally funny and interesting even when there wasn't much to talk about. Because of how much I didn't like EVS, I wanted to like JDA even though he got a lot of crap on here. But I think I'm gonna have to jump off that ship now too. He just seems pretty dishonest and he always latches on to one specific detail about his feuds and ignores all other details and context and just hammers on that one thing like a political soundbite. But besides that, his videos are nigh unwatchable anymore. He is as bad as or worse than the quartering. (yes I know I recently brought the quartering up here already, but since he was on the front page, I hate that guy more)

In any event, sucks that that happened to you Cider. EVS ruins all good things and people.

There's clearly a path for him to be successful at making comics and he is steadfastly refusing to take that path. He's managed to excuse himself from succeeding by changing the definition of success from "selling as much of my product as possible to as many customers as possible" to "selling a few comics to a few people who want to buy them for reasons I agree with".
