Richard can't name the alien the Predator is hunting in this, so clearly he's lying about seeing the movie:

I'm kidding, this is the kind of logic he uses to slander all the people who review this online who didn't like it.

Hating Predator: Badlands doesn't mean you hate movies. It means you probably liked at least two of the other Predator movies and you don't like what Disney is doing to it since they bought it. I mean, objectively, aside from all the other terrible stuff in this movie just the fact that it's PG-13 would be worth hating. (Everything else about the movie also sounds horrible too, but I haven't seen it and I won't.)

The big comicbooks company are only afloat because they are part of even bigger conglomerate. They are loss leader.

I went to hate/laugh watch.

Disney put in a quirky sitcom android and a Stitch clone pet to destroy what was left of the Predator air of mystique and turn him into a cleft palate Klingon with fwends in a sloppy fusion of Enemy Mine, Star Trek, Aliens and Arnie's final ambush tropes. Sci-Fi is a joke and full of 40-50 year old reheated hash browns.

It only really had one decent action piece at the end, but it's not enough to make it a good action sci-fi in my opinion.

I think it's the opposite of what happened with pray, a lot of people wanted to really hate pray but it was such a lame girlboss movie that it wasn't worth the emotion. I think people really want to like Badlands but all the bullshit keeps getting in the way. I'm not saying it's woke or anything but it's clearly trying to be something that Predator is not.

Maybe the movie is just that unremarkable and boring that one tunes out? Zack might suck but with modern Disney, very boring is a very real possibility.

I disagree. Zack is not a fake geek. He is just "THAT" geek. The "Sheldon Cooper" without the brain power. Just as obsessed with comics, just as obsessed with his own interpretation of characters, just as obsessed with his own OCs. He cannot stand things not being his way even if his way is worse. Sheldon Cooper was an autistic savant. Zack is just autistic. All the neurosis, none of the smarts that make it all work out for him.

Respectfully, "That geek" would know how little he knows about pop culture. Zack is pure dunning/Kruger, he has no Idea how little he knows, about comics, about movies, about video games. Sheldon Cooper KNEW all those things about nerd culture, Zack knows GI Joe and MAYBE the transformers comics MAYBE. That's why when he talks about ReAl ArT it's so painful because he has no idea what real art is.

No, I think Ethan Ralph has his own reasons for going after EVS and honestly I can't wait to see what happens. I do hope Jesse from Podawful joins him in doing it too, after all Evan is unable to ignore people who talk about him so you KNOW he's going to respond to them both.... Whatever they say about him now.

Because people are not ready to give up reading them yet. Right now Indie comics are starting to get people reading them again, slowly but surely. Of course the fact that some people are trying to turn this hobby into a blood sports for drama when they never had interest in it in the first place, isn't really helping people get into it any faster. Btw all comics everywhere are based off of something in one way or another, so anyone calling them mid would be kind of pointless now. I know you didn't yet but if people want 100% originality, they're in the wrong hobby.

I did notice how incestuous and ever-changing comics are, yes - probably to sell more issues when a new universe overhaul happens because of a writer change in the office.

But to each their own, I suppose.

Well like I said, you want 100% originality that's never been done before, you're in the wrong hobby. It is possible to make a new brand with stories that entertain people, but everything's been done so many times in so many different ways, that it is impossible to be 100% original at this point now. Good luck finding anything that isn't "Mid" in this day and age, let alone this hobby. The best you can do is find something you like, stick with it and continue to enjoy it.

Sheldon obsesses over superhero comics while Zack obsesses over military style comics. I bet Sheldon knows less about G.I. Joe than Zack knows about superheroes. They are obsessed and do not know much about things outside their bubble and think they know everything there is to know inside it. Also, Zack's obsession that makes him look more like a jock as military stuff are more along those lines as opposed to superheroes that are more traditionally nerdy and geeky.

No they haven't. I still read comics, and I see plenty of other people read and say what they like about them too. That may be the case for some people with some brands, but not all of them.

I am not saying that no one reads them. I am saying that for a lot, it has become a collecting as opposed to a reading experience. It also depends on the region. None of my friends give a damn about comics anymore.

Fair enough. I've heard from more than one person that Indie Comics are why people are getting back into the hobby, in fact Rippaverse was a big part in it. I'll never understand how one man can be hated so much over something as innocent as comic books....ever.

Bro you know what I mean, all of Zack's geek cred comes from reading comics in the 80's, that why he obessies over 1 or 2 daredevil comics from Ann Vicenti from the 80s, not saying those comics are bad but they're hardly classics.

Problem is that the Rippaverse is not doing enough. Its best is not enough. CG has ruined its indie cred and for most, that was indie comics. The Big 2 spend a lot of time sucking and insulting the audience to get fans to return, Image was barely a player and had to deal with its own woke infestation and every other company had is too small and woke.

Still, not a fake geek. Very autistic though. That is the thing about autism: very rare to find one with an obsession that is useful or not too specific. Most of the time it is specific comics, ants or something equally useless.
