This has to be one of the most retarded ideas he's had, and that's saying something. Considering most of his comics have an incredibly niche appeal as it is, and he'd have to break into a market that's already dominated by manga. I'd be positively surprised if he managed to sell more than five comics.

Oh, surely he can beat both French and Italian native comics along with the French and Italian manga scene. He should go for it. That comic he did with the lesbian will surely do big numbers in Europe. I have faith!

It was an OK movie.
Predator movies never really do much better than this though. So It had to be about what they were expecting when they greenlit it.

I read the whole thing. It's just the guy soying out not a review.
It’s written in the voice of a fan high off the experience, not someone analyzing the film critically or even trying to inform readers.
There’s no real commentary beyond “this movie rocks.”
He writes like a redditor saying stuff like “dope,” “badass,” “heart pounding,” “$100m idea”
Any potential negatives are brushed aside. This is just a marketing blurb.
I haven't watched any of his videos but if this is any indication of them, then this guy is just a dumb reddit nigger.

I also feel this is a very move fans vs comics fans type of thing, but from what I understand there is basically no continuity in the predator "universe"

I assume he was inspired by the same notion that inspires all of his ideas: "how can I use AI to save myself a bunch of work?" While very pathetic, it's at least more practical than most of his comic ideas.
Yeah, no way. I believe AVBF's lore story above, but he must have just seen the post and visited the site for a couple of days. The idea of Zack continually going back to 4chan to read people being Wrong on the Internet - many of them on purpose - with no way to stalk or obsess or block them, is too absurd to consider.
If he *did* engage, he would have sperged volcanically, and he would have remembered every exchange and brought them up constantly up in videos. We would hear about it.
It would be very anti-dramatic and anti-karmic and it would rob us of Ethan's descent. But I admit I would be amused by a timeline where Khal Mohammed throws enough money at everyone to get DC to hire Ethan and then everyone (including and especially Ethan) has to make a statement about why it's all fine and then they have to keep publicly quiet about it while seething in back channels.

Predator movies have seen nothing but diminishing returns since 1987. Adjusted for inflation, the first movie made $137 million dollars at the box office and the only one that even got close to that number ($116m) was the first AVP movie 20 years ago. All the other movies in the series were lucky to bring in half that amount.
Predator, like almost every other franchise film, was best suited as a one and done but anything that makes money will be beaten until it can produce nothing and then beaten some more. Now that this obsession with universes and continuity has spread from comics to other media using the MCU like a disease vector, niggers talk about shit like the Halloween movies and fucking NCIS in terms of "timelines" and "realities". I'm not sure why anyone would want some kind of overarching, cohesive Predator universe at this point.
The concept had some potential but it was all wasted after the first film, which was an action masterpiece. The time for continuity that would have been when they made the first sequel but instead we got Predator vs Danny Glover, which killed the entire thing.

I'm actually one of those people that unironically enjoys Predator 2, despite its shortcomings. I'd argue that yes, there is room for greater lore and story-building around the Predator concept, certainly in comics if not in films. In terms of films, the Predator is actually one of those monsters where it works better the less you see or know about them.

I'll never not enjoy Gary Busey going ham in anything, but goddamn that whole film is a letdown coming after arguably the best film of Arnie's 80s run.
You're right about that, and that's one of the strengths of the original movie. The Predator is like a phantom and it builds tension. But once you see him, it takes the edge off of that aspect of the character for sequels. The mystery is not there. The Predator isn't an unknown anymore, even if it's a different Predator.
Like I said, the concept had potential. The idea of a race of alien hunters stalking game on different planets is full of possibility, but the stories they've decided to tell on film have been fucking retarded. AVP could have been alright if they'd just adapted the comics instead of whatever the fuck they did. I thought Prey wasn't too bad even if I don't buy for a minute the idea of a 120 pound girl being any kind of threat to a Predator. I have not seen the Killer of Killers thing but from the synopsis, it seems like that's the sort of shit they should have been doing from the jump, even though the stories are part of a 90 minute animated anthology. Predator vs Viking, Predator vs Samurai, and Predator Does WW2 would be pretty decent ideas for individual movies instead of relegated to Hulu as part of an animated one-off.
The whole thing just hits me as missed opportunity and wasted potential to the point where I can't really give much of a shit about it.

Yeah, if THAT'S what he considers failure then I hate to think what he considers a success. I really wish these clowns would stop trying to brand bash the Rippaverse. It's not like anybody at this point now really believes what they say about it anyway, and most certainly not in the way HE tries to make them look. It didn't work for Iconic Comics and Kamen America, it's not going to work for Rippaverse and ISOM especially. Streisand effect, that's all he's accomplishing.

the only reason he's even hating on Eric July is because he's not Pro Trump, and he even admitted he would take everything back if he ever does become pro Trump. All he's doing is spreading gossip and telling lies, nothing more. It also shows that he doesn't even watch the videos he complains about.....I mean Eric July has since day one said he was "against" giving control to corporations, he's not calling himself a libertarian for nothing....I mean he has full control of his own company, and has said since day one he wants to rely on himself. Honestly Turtle boy would be taken more seriously if he actually did his own research "which includes watching the videos he complains about" and not spread gossip, but that would require a working brain and based on what I've seen he doesn't have one in the first place.

Just to put into perspective what an absolute failure Zack has become relative to Eric July's bidness, here's a comment Zack left on the IGG page of his still unfulfilled Rambo book in response to a backer who asked if Zack was scamming them:
According to his own estimate, Zack sold/shipped 15,000 books in the entirety of 2024. He claims to have shipped "over 60,000" in "the last few years".
Let's say "the last few years" means 2020 to 2023 and that he shipped 15,000 books in each of those years. That means from 2020 to 2024, Zack has sold and shipped 20,000 fewer books than Eric July has sold in just 2025.

I've never seen a more envious group of people outside the mainstream. Sheesh YBZ along with EVS are such losers, and it's not even CLOSE anymore. In fact the mainstream are more mature than these people are, and THAT'S saying something.
Seething is all these people can do at this point. I'm surprised they are STILL TRYING to bring Rippaverse down considering it's CLEARLY not working. They all need to move on already, if Rippaverse was going to be destroyed it would have been gone by now already.

What it seems they're doing is waging a years long campaign of damage control designed to keep what's left of their audiences.
Gone are the days of regular six figure campaigns and fiery livestreams drumming up enthusiasm for the next project. Years of infighting, ego clashes, hubris, and sheer laziness have reduced Comicsgate to little more than Ethan's personal brand. He and Zack both have destroyed nearly all the good will they'd built their business on with unfulfilled campaigns and shitty customer service. They waged a war against the comics mainstream and they lost bigly. The mainstream is still there, hiring everyone but CG alumni. Ethan sits in a basement waiting for a call from DC that will never come. Zack has waved a white flag upon which he has written "COMICS ARE GOOD AGAIN" and his ire has shifted from the creators of mainstream comics to his own audience.
Eric July found the crown of indie comics in the gutter and picked it up with his massive black lips. He's doing everything CG said they wanted to do but were either too incompetent or too lazy to accomplish and nothing makes Ethan madder than some nigger becoming the face of the indie scene. He and Zack are trying to sell what's left of their audiences on the notion that it's not them the audience should be mad at for unfulfilled campaigns, it's this hairy Negro for selling mediocre comics! They're actually telling the remaining CG/Zack True Believers that a "great" product which does NOT exist is superior to a mediocre product which does.
Ethan has found his Emmanuel Goldstein and the few remaining faithful pay him to participate in the nightly Two Hours Hate to say loudly and proudly in their best Newspeak:
