People who make edgy TMNT knock-offs fail to realize that they are part of the joke TMNT was satirizing. Works out of spite are hard to maintain for long. The feeling dies out. That is why one needs a better mindset when making long term creative works. It is why the Warhammer guys fill their Grimdark world with jokes and the occasional lighthearted book series like Ciaphas Cain. EVS wanted an outlet for his rage and now that rage is gone. It is replaced with envy and that is not nearly as productive in terms of creativity.

But yeah, at this point, CG and Richard both are so tired they're pretty much over. They're never going to grow because they're always going to double down, so it'll be interesting to check in in a year and see how small it's gotten from a financial standpoint. My predictions:

1. Richard will do 2-3 more crowdfund campaigns and eventually just call it quits on comics.
2. The "kings" will have a massive breakup because they can't sustain their lives and the Nolan/Lopresti/Tucci types will eventually be squeezed out and back away.
