The lies from Envious Van Skeever are never-ending, but I’ll highlight this one, where he admits he lied about why his Twitter account was taken down to gain more support:

Makes you think. What else did he misrepresent to rally more people behind him? He managed to get a lot of people worked up on his behalf by pretending to be cancelled for his politics. More and more people are seeing it for what it truly was.


As a side note, I’m not sure if it’s already been mentioned here, but Mike S. Miller had a stroke not long ago. In typical CG fashion, they mocked him, praying disingenuously for him while simultaneously shit-talking and smearing his name.

Also, All Caps Comics is down to one employee. According to him, he used to have four people (two young couples) working in his warehouse and two women (his wife and her friend) in the office. Now he can only afford one person to do it all. Good luck getting your books and merch - if, by some miracle, he can even finish them.

I wonder if he couldn't afford it, or he just didn't pay them because he doesn't put out a large volume that would need the other 3-4 employees, or they got a glimpse of what he does streaming and quit.
 
Have you ever heard of the Tragedy of EVS the Dumb?

He was so dumb, that he managed to piss away millions of dollars of good will and sales, all because his lazy arse was wedded to the idea of 5 Year Late Books and trying to distract people from this, by attacking a black man working in comics.

If a book comes out less than 5 years late or is made by a black man, how good could it truly be?

EVS of all people shouldn't be making fun of strokes. He's guaranteed for one considering how fucking fat he is and it's not gonna be a mild one.
 

Rewatching this video and I'd like to point out the exact part in the video where Moron Meyer reveals how much of a rambling idiot he truly is. At 3:53 he talks about AVGN ranting about a game's design and Meyer responds with how the game consoles are old and rotting in someone's basement for 30 years. He confuses old hardware with talking about a game's design/look.

I repeat myself: anyone who still gives him money is an idiot.

Despite seething impotently at a black guy making comics for years now, ComicsGate is ironically and undeniably the "ghetto" of online comic book communities. It's just an ugly favela whose residents are made up of either disgraced comic pros trying to make some extra money out of their irrelevant names, or no-name comic novices who think if they hang around long enough, they'll get just enough crumbs of clout to get some decent crowdfunding for their own books they know would never sell on its own merits. And sitting at the top, looking down at the favela from his cozy, gated home is CG's slum lord Ethan Van Sciver. EVS knows this. He probably acknowledges these facts better than anyone else in ComicsGate. And he likes it this way. EVS doesn't really want CG to be big and ambitious because he - a lazy, fat cunt - doesn't want to put in the work or be professional enough to get it to that point.

He's fine with ComicsGate being the dirtiest, grimiest hood in the online comic space so long as he stays at the top of it. The reason why he hates Eric July and Tim Lim so much isn't necessarily because he wants their success (though that's part of it). No, it's because they both proved that the CG Kings were always just "hood rich," and that online comic creators with some actual initiative and discipline could build something of substance without all the squalor, grifting, e-begging, and drama. Just by focusing on their businesses and comics, they revealed EVS as the slum lord he is and ComicsGate as the filthy favela EVS turned it into. And, even though the Frog King doesn't give a fuck about CG being anything but an internet slum, it still bites at his ego that these upstarts who didn't even have any experience with comics before deciding to make their own, have and continue to run circles around an industry "legend" like himself. So, his ego, his envy, and his BPD won't let him not disparage them as "bums" to his favela-dwelling minions. Unfortunately for EVS, calling someone a bum doesn't work against people who are outdoing you in every aspect of life, including the one thing you're an actual expert in - that is "making comics."

Well, at least it's gotten him some superchats. Better than nothing.

How is Eric a grifter? He makes a variety of comics book for various genres. If he is making comics and performing a service for his donators how is that a grift? Most if not all of them are apolitical so the accusations that they are "culture war" doesn't even make sense. Like, this is why I can't talk to a lot of progressives even though I'm liberal. They refuse to engage with reality because so many of them are hostile to conflicting information. Way too many progressives equate their morality with their politics and if you question something they believe "omg,"
 
And yet none of these clowns have made something worth a damn. Fuck this, I'm going to European comics, manga, Argentinian comics, and good North American comics worth a damn.
