Waid's currently writing for Marvel, right? I wonder if someone clued him in that Marvel legal wants no part of the potential shitstorm that would come if one of their big-name writers was trying to strong-arm a smaller publisher.

I know Gamergate comparisons can be overplayed but this reminds me of Moviebob getting fired from Escapist for spazzing his way into FTC violations.

He used to be a top-tier writer, then Trump happened and he caught a sever case of the SocJust-itis. Now most of his books are just him sperging about Trump (Captain America) and #WOKE superhero kids (Champions).

Mark Waid answered it earlier in a poorly thought out analogy. They’re legally and ethically required to sell to gays. No one is legally or ethically required to stock content from conservatives or sell to conservatives.

I hope the Supremes rule in favor of those bakers that wouldn’t bake a gay wedding cake.
 
By his logic comic shops should sell anyone any comics because they are comic shops. But they shouldn't have to sell any comics to any customer because gay people can have cakes?

You ever wonder why these people want communism? Because capitalism will sort this out. Comic book stores and gaming stores have razor thin margins as it is. If I knew a place that punished something I enjoyed simply because of political reasons I would take my business elsewhere. You're welcome to control what comes in your store and I'm welcome to shop elsewhere because you're an ideological cunt. I've known mafia resturants fronts being more inclusive. Why would I go to a place that would take my money and mock and sneer at me behind my back?

It's not like communism would save them from this. The fuck kind of communist regime would waste paper on nu-Marvel instead telling those fucks to head back to starving in the fields and maybe they'll think about showing them a propaganda film on their glorious leader?

Even if rewritten as agents of the state, superheroes in general promote vigilantism, gay ones promote "lifestyles" that would result in less workers, fat ones promote hoarding of resources that should belong to the community, etc. All that must be eliminated for the continued existence of The People's State and to ward off the tyranny of capitalism.
 
They don't even want communism, it's just the closest mainstream approximation to "I deserve money because I'm the greatest".

The communism in their head. This idea that all the racists, sexists and wrong-thinkers will go away, and the state will baby them with their own personal patreon and tell them how beautiful they are even if they are the ugliest motherfucker in the world, that their ideology is the 'one true one' and will only sell products that are 'aren't toxic'.

The real communism is one where a strong man would take control, send the useless to work camps to die, shoot the ideological ones up against a wall, force the pretty ones to be their personal whores, send every professor that has a hint of free thinking to the gulag, seize every bit of money from their patreon to 'redistribute it' and give every industry to their cronies to exploit until they inevitably run up to the point where reality can no longer handle their incompetence and it collapses in on itself.

Its what they think is communism, yes. That the state will baby them and pamper them even though they have no talent, that the world owes them nothing (even if they are oppressed) and all the bad naughty people who have evil thoughts won't bother them or see them. Its just as much of an escapist fantasy as videogames and movies are. Except they believe these fantasies can come true.

Luckily, these people are too weak to overthrow the government (there was this great article on the new left, describing how it wants social change, but they don't want to do it themselves, they want someone else to do it, be it a corporation or a government, whereas old leftist movements forced social change with action). But the consequences are the same. Reality will grind down the incompetence. It may take some time, but it always happens.

Once again.
