Its a bunch of comic book artists and writers at the biggest comics company going to war over a guy with a cellphone laughing at their bad comics. When they said, 'put up or shut up', he said 'Ok'. Then when it looked like they'd eat crow, they sperged the fuck out.
I don't think Diversity in Comics is a sperg. He's a fucking guy on a cellphone with terrible audio filming in a closet just laughing at badly written shit. If that guy can bother you to the point where you talk about him constantly, to the point where you spend an entire work day trying to get his comic off store shelves, you're the sperg.
It has been reported by coworkers that this guy would not just cry, but literally sob and slam a phone down in a receiver, repeatedly. These breakdowns happened so frequently they just ignored it. Broke brains don't stay broke, they get worse. You don't think its out of the realm of possibility that a guy threatened violence when he regularly broke down sobbing and destroying inanimate objects for no reason, so often that it just got ignored by an entire office? Yeah, ok.
Even if he didn't threaten violence, if Marvel comics was a real company, Waid would have been fucking fired for this. This is incredibly unprofessional and what he did was basically the definition of tortious interference. Its clearly obvious he threw around the Marvel name and used his career as a cudgel to intimidate a small publisher into stopping a book from getting published. Even if no lawsuits are thrown around, I've never heard of this happening before. I've seen dumbfuck SJWs and college students screeching at something to get changed or to boycott something or for a company to get rid of it, but never have I seen someone in the same industry intimidate someone smaller in that industry over shit like 'This guy has politics I don't like. Stop your arrangement or I will ruin you'. I've heard of companies refusing to stock something or not publish something, this is another level entirely.
But Marvel comics is clearly not a real company, so all I think will happen to Waid is a finger wagging and a social-media time-out like the dumb, faggot baby he is. He'll be back eventually. But like I said, I've never heard of this happening in an industry context over something as idiotic as politics. And I've followed a lot of dumb SJW shit. I think this will have at least some repercussions, maybe not directly on Waid, but on the industry itself. You simply can't, as an industry professional in a small industry, bully a mom and pop shop over politics and it not make waves. What that will be, who knows.
