Renfamous is getting called out for threatening a CG member from attending a con. IIRC Renfamous is a former cosplayer, who now spends her days a-logging a #. She made this tweet where she draws the attention of multiple lgbt, new sites and blogs to cover Diversity & Comics coming to Bell County Comic Con.

I’m kinda on the fence about it. It’s not a threat, I think it’s more like (and I hate using the word) a dog whistle to the ‘Punch Nazis’ crowd. (Or at least that’s as far as I’m willing to stretch)

Just like with Quartering guy, an assault happened because someone acted on information of a person they disliked attending a con.

If it can happen here, it can happen at any other Con. This type of stuff is why the Brettweisers declined to appear at a recent con.

She's not worth giving any attention to either, since this is really just mewling for attention from the demented hobos after failing to make it big as a booth babe or whatever. This is essentially a begging for e-drugs in the form of attention or a desperate way to crawl back into relevance.

Kinda like what Day's doing and going to fail to succeed at given the average sentiment of fuck politics; I. like a majority here I reckon, use entertainment to have fun and to avoid that shit given how hard it's being spammed right now.

I'm a fan of Alternacomics and Comicsgate but this whole Mundane Matt-esque weeping amid the current anti-Free Speech faggotry and sudden SJW-lite momentum that EVS and his fellow advocates have launched into over the past two days is going to hurt the movement in the long run, because people are looking for a space in their hobbies without censorship and without identity politics, which this is bleeding into.
 
I for one, am excited for the new art that is going to be born from this movement. All the new comics, new characters and stories from comicsgate people.

A bit over optimistic, but I'm excited nonetheless.
 
a quick look at Vox's comic line reveals nothing remarkable. He seems to be about quantity not quality. Nothing BAD but it's kinda stiff and generic. Maybe would've been cool on early-2000s Deviantart.

Most the plots center around 2016-2018 "Triggering the snowflakes" themes or stuff like Q Anon though so even if the art was better the stories have no staying power whatsoever. Vox is just an out of touch Gen-X aspie with a lot of money and resources to throw around, and is probably going to accelerate CG's wreckage as a brand.

What hurts the movement is people trying to forcibly push it to cater for their own politics when the whole point of the movement is to have zero politics in comics.
 
It's already a relief that Comicsgate was able to condemn the alt-right harshly, unlike other anti-SJW circles (the Skeptic YouTube community comes to mind).

Peter made a point to say him breaking down was not due to random people saying nasty things. He said it was because of people he thought were his friends, people he had helped professionally suddenly stabbing him in the back.

There's a universe of difference between someone like him and someone like Mundane Matt.

I thought he came off rather well. He's a guy who wears his emotions on his sleeve.

Tell me, who's the real woman-hater: the gal who happens to have more male friends and laughs at the occasional "women, am I right?" joke and thinks current comics are patronizing in an effort to pander? Or the gal who says the first gal only does that for attention, insinuates that she's incapable of really having those opinions or thinking for themselves without the aid of a feminism where associated groups are frequently discovered full of sexual predators, and uses other women and minorities as a shield to defend mediocre work?
