Valiant isn’t Marvel. They're basically a poor man's even poorer Image Comics.
Tbh if that fucking Faith comic was written with her being a superhero version of Pam from Archer I would...ok I probably wouldnt buy it but I would be damn tempted to pirate that comic. Seriously Pam is objectively a better written and more progressively characterised female character than literally the past half decade of "STUNNING AND BRAVE NEW WAMMEN ICON" mary sues from the entire comic industry.

Instead we get....this

Though tbh this is fiendishly hilarious in hindsight once you take into context the fact this was published like a week or two before the election....goddamn I wish I thought to make a thread archiving all the different hillary propaganda comics back when that shit was being churned out by the tonne

A really great analysis of why Disney doesn’t give a crap about Marvel Comics and is giving them enough room to fail.

SyFy picks up half the needed costs of production. Part of that loan is to fund the other half in the desperate hope they can sell it overseas. You couldnt make this shit up.
The other shows aren't doing any better either from that article. Locke & Key spent $13.6m on a pilot that wasn't bought by the intended partner Hulu and while Netflix bought the series it won't air the pilot. October faction has 'meaningful cost overages' and its bank financing is delayed,V-Wars likely to need additional post production investment.

Way to spend that money IDW.

Heh. That line about 'Democracy: sometimes a contact sport' reminds me of a line I saw in a Tom Kratman book:

"Warfare is a democracy, and the enemy gets a vote."

Over-under on her being rehired by Marvel in the next 6 months? This might be an attempt to invalidate the argument that she sucks as an editor and doesn't have enough experience to be a Marvel editor. After she "quits" Valiant there will be a big push from the anti side
'Like, even though she is super qualified of course you don't want her to be an editor, you just hate wahman. Conversation over'.

Yeah, maybe in third world shitholes like Iraq and Baltimore. Great message there.

I wouldn't place money on it since it wouldn't be the craziest idea but I see her staying at Valiant for a while before moving on to something else. It's a safe bet considering her emotional whiplash of a tweet where she said it's time to try comics again to "stand up to the nazis" that she applied to Marvel first and got into Valiant as a back-up plan. She was approaching this from the angel of being "right in the fight" rather then being focused on being an editor so it would make less sense for Valiant to be her first choice.

I guess the terms that she left on would have something to do with it. I really don't remember if she was fired or if she left on her own accord to chase a better offer, but that she ended up in an entirely different industry makes me think it wasn't entirely something she was prepared for. Does anyone remember anything about when this happened?

From memory so it might be wrong... She left her dream job of working at Marvel mid-week to join her dream job of E.I.C for a e-sports gambling website (possibly owned by one of her friends?). This sounds a little weird so most CG-ers felt that she was let go fired.

If you see that face on a person in real life, run. Just run. That's the face a maniac has when they realized that their spree killing can begin right now.

They both have that shark eye thing where they’re about to eat you & their eyelids close from the bottom. How much MORE of the whites of their eyes do you need to see to know that the crazy is there. And it’s going to murder you?

If people are chronically underpaid at Marvel I wonder how much she'll be pulling down at Valiant? Ignoring of course, her side hustles* there.

*Immediately sucking and fucking the highest ranking male in the office to get her "bonus pay"

Honestly I feel bad for her for the same reason I feel bad for Brian Visaggio. Both of them started at the top and failed spectacularly, potentially ruining any chance they had at a future in the industry. She's just now starting where she should have been four years ago, but with a tarnished reputation and a toxic sense of entitlement.
