But Waid... how the fuck does this get past his lawyer?

Have you seen Mark Zaid's idiotic tweets? Zaid could be pumping him up with snake oil to get him to believe this bullshit while hoovering his bank account. That's all I can think, because no honest lawyer would tell their client that this jurisdictional motion has any chance at all, nor would they think a TCPA motion was guaranteed or even likely.

I didn't follow this thing closely so likely I don't understand something, but isn't AP saying under oath that Waid didn't force them to cancel the book makes entire thing void?

No, because he isn't being sued because he "forced" them to cancel. Nobody is even claiming that Waid went and held a gun to his head and threatened to shoot him unless he cancelled. Unlawfully obtaining a breach of contract by any non-privileged means is still tortious interference.

Waid is also stupidly taking the witness's opinion as to a fact as the legal conclusion he wants it to be. The court does not take legal conclusions expressed by witnesses as conclusive of anything at all.

So I can’t really look at the actual links at the moment, but I’m curious about the link Waid replies claiming that it’s the “actual deposition.” Does it include any of Waid’s assertions that AP said that their decision was because of Meyer’s behavior completely independent of anything Waid said, or is it just a longer form of that “Well its not like I put a gun to their heads and made them cancel it” correspondence already listed above?

I love Zack but he's got a few foibles. One of them being that I think he believes that if he throws the other side a bone every once in a while, is kind to the shit they produce, they'll suddenly stop wanting to see him set on fire inside an ISIS cage.

Ever self aware, I think he even acknowledged this in a video. He admitted he was going through a weird time and I believe called out himself for giving GM 1 a good review.

GM 1 wasn't bad and it wasn't good. It was meh. But as something allowed to exist on Vertigo it was uninspired trash.

He'll be going over all these more on Rekieta's stream tonight.

TUG's really showing his power-level today. Said he might crowd-fund a lawsuit (I presume against Renfamous or whomever is calling CPS).

Nobody called CPS as far as I'm aware. He's just being exceptional and in danger of going full Maddox.
Unless TUG just want's to fuck with them for shits and giggles to empty their pockets, I doubt he can successfully sue these speds. It won't stop them though, these people just never shut up and to sue he'll have to dox himself. That could make life exponentially worse for him.

That’s a lot of stupid from Waid which will work on the “no critical thinking” crowd that makes up social justice and the anti-cg.

Wonder why Waid didn’t post the full deposition? ? I want to know the answers about what Waid specifically said, the threats he made, etc because while he didn’t make the decision to cancel Jawbreakers he did threaten AP into it.

Perhaps nobody actually did it, but they were threatening to. And I don't think that's a threat to take lightly. "I'm going to call up a state agency and tell them lies which may result in aremed police showing up to your house and kidnapping your child and possibly arresting you." As a parent, just typing that out made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Those are fighting words to me. Not to sound condescending, but maybe you can't understand if you're not a parent yourself. It really does change your brain.

TUG said on his stream that he talked to Ty about the situation. I think TUG's in Tennessee, though, so Ty probably isn't going to represent him, but since Ty has said before on Nick's streams that he enjoys TUG's shows, he might have just been giving him a freebie consultation.

In other news TUGs campaign also passed fake holidays latest joke.

I also mentioned in the LLP thread that so far Waid's facebook post has brought exactly $0 to his gofundme, while Zack's up about $5k from a few days ago and ~2.2k of that in the last ~5 hours (since EVS's video)

Looks like we have another Alison Rapp. She even looks like a chunkier Ali.

If I didn't know any better, she IS Rapp. This could explain how she managed to stay out of the public eye for so long despite being the type of attention whoring sperg who would rather chop off a titty than never be allowed to post every brain fart on Twitter.

So, did this exchange just prove Zack's case? It sure looks like it to me.

My Twitter Law-level understanding is that it's not really meaningful one way or the other. Apparently, tortious interference is still tortious interference (in this jurisdiction) as long as the attempt was made to unlawfully interfere in an existing contract, even if the interference was not a deciding factor in the contract being breached. It does nicely punch a hole in Waid's silly premature victory laps (over testimony that also really wasn't meaningful, for the same reason as above), though.

This is discussed in more detail over in the Lolcow & Lolcow LLP thread on the subject, if you have time to wade through 100+ pages.

So Mike S. Miller’s second Lonestar campaign started today and it’s already reached its goal and climbing. I’m glad to see it doing so well. Lonestar was an odd duck, but I enjoyed it.

It's not as bad as how they altered the Moebius books. They actually ruined every page of entire books due to their changes.

Also wonder woman doesn't have an ass worth censoring IMO. Hank Hill's is more robust and pronounced.

Remember how much the left of the time mocked John Ashcroft for covering up a nude statue and how it was proof he was some kind of American version of the Taliban?

Also, note, Marvel owns this shit lock, stock and barrel and can engage in infantilism like this, and I generally don't like much of what the French does, but there, the original artist would have the right to sue them for vandalism like this.
