That's not what Doug was saying a year ago when he showed up on Ethan's platform. Until BFB launched he was essentially a regular and especially in the beginning he played the violins about not getting any more work as hard as any of them. Could have just been showmanship which they all did to one degree or another.
I think it hasn't been the same since EVS stopped doing his free for all livestreams. They were entertaining, they went after spergs like Lauren, talked comics and other things. Now EVS is doing livestreams from his backyard with his wife. As happy as I am for him I'm not sure how he thinks that's as entertaining as listening to Cecil get loaded and arguing with Smugless. Even before his house move he said he was going to just focus on one creator per livestream. That's fine, have someone on alone for 15 minutes but after that invite the entertaining people like Cecil and Jon Mallin to make fun of Mike S Miller.
Still being made as far as I know. He could stand to update more often though. He doesn't seem to be much of an internet guy
I predict Breitweiser publicy announces he no longer aligns with Comicsgayte after redrooster ships. He seemed to distance himself once the JDA, Lim and Nerkish drama occurred. Wether he's signed on with a publisher is yet to be seen, I imagine he has.
The thing is that Gamergate never produced anything tangible so it was destined to fizzle out. Until people stop buying comicsgate comics, they'll be around. Considering the amount that Ya Boi is pulling in for a straight reprint of his and EVS is for a "last chance" campaign it might be a while before comicsgate is dead.
Comicsgate is already dying. Creators like Doug TenNapel are rightly starting to distance themselves from this trash fire and even Ya Boi has largely stepped away from the drama.
Ya Boi is also in a lawsuit, so staying away from drama is just common sense. That and he realized twitter drama was making him a huge asshole. EVS needs to listen to him and step away from that nonsense and finish the damn book(You said end of April and it's the middle of May fucker). A shame Doug left, but with all the hit pieces, WC doing dumb shit, and finally getting to work on Earthworm Jim again, it was the smart choice. But I expect CG to get a big shot in the arm depending on how the lawsuit goes, which should be Zack's favor by all accounts. Though that will be a while.

Doug can do just fine with his expanding audience and he doesn't need Ethan's exceptional fans dragging him into manufactured controversy.
People don't know this but others followed Doug Tennapel out of Comicsgate. Elliot Fernandez, Brian Shearer and the creators of Long Harbor all followed Tennapel out of CG. Doug wanted to branch out that was always Tennapels plan. He's the only one that had connections that could take these projects mainstream. Ethan was too content with his current formula of milking crowdfunding and building his YouTube channel. Sorry EVS no matter how much you say you want to take CG mainstream, it's not going to happen by pandering niche markets on YouTube the remainder of your career.
