None of these comic book wirters want to write comics. They want to be movie writers/producers or television show runners. Comics to them is a necessary means to an end.

As much as I hate what Dan DiDio did to Wally (and I'm more of a Barry fan) I see some justice in it for a minuscule, but vocal minority of fanboys that have a hate-boner for the Silver Age. Now they know how it feels for DC to take something they love and pervert it because, "OMG, it's so edgy!"

On an ending note I was really looking forward to reading She said Destroy by Corallo and Kangas (of the Black AF Devil's Dye infamy), because it was promoted as second coming of Jesus, but it appears that not even pirates feels it's worth pirating.
It's ugly AF.

Right?! Most of the time they ask that to see if you did your research on the company, as if you did then you're serious about wanting the job. If you can't be bothered to hide the fact that this is one of a handful of jobs you applied for and don't care which one you get, you deserve none of them.
I know it, you know it, any sane person who searches for a job knows that is the first question they ask at the interview. He just thinks he is THAT special or he thinks he just derves the job because he's THAT special, or he lives in such a delusion in his own clown world where normal people rules don't apply to him... that I just pity him. And I find it generally interesting as a window to their mindset and how it explains their behaviour.

Honestly that whole "this work of fiction that touches on WOKE THING A also didn't touch upon unrelated WOKE POINT B so therefore it's trash that shouldn't exist" mentality that SwindleSoiree (which honestly here's hoping she gets involved in a crowdfunding scam because that'd be too perfect) exemplifies is a huge reason why so much woke shit ultimately falls about. Not just because you're ultimately chasing after an inherently un-pleaseable audience, but because they don't understand that a story's themes don't have to touch upon every subject under the sun - nor should they. There's only so much material can cover before it becomes unfocused and wishy-washy, and frankly most writers aren't going to be interested in every pet cause out there and it's unrealistic to demand that they cover topics they don't know about and don't care to learn about lest it results into half-assed token gestures.
With the SJW criteria being that every story must include every flavor of person and touch upon every political subject, it's no wonder the most they make is different flavors of Qweer POC uwu sitting around a coffee shop spouting cringey attempts at humor at each other.
