1. For fun.
2. Yep! It's all done. It's being assembled and prepared, but it's out of my hands.
3. Apple.

It's not cherry or Key Lime? That's it, then. I'm throwing away my Green Lantern omnibuses and demanding that you give me back the money I gave for Cyberfrog, you basic bitch.

Oh hai, @FROG (AKA Ethan.)

This is as good a place as any to ask: have any conventions refused to invite you because of Comicsgate?

Also, what's your favourite Weird Al song?

Hi Ethan (@FROG),
Now that you and Zach are literal millionaires any chance on you doing a collaboration between the EVS/Ya boi Universes? I’m looking forward to my copy of Cyberfrog.

Or this thread is about to get really gay. We'll see.
Yea

Not that I know of. The last personal appearance I did was at a convention in NJ in November 2017. I had an enormous line of fans waiting at my table and an electric kind of buzz reaching my ears from other creators that I had become "controversial." I had a good time, but as the past 2 or 3 years demonstrated to me, there was NO money to be made at conventions anymore, and so I politely declined, and still politely decline, personal appearances.

There's a modest concern for my safety, but mostly it's about the time away from home, (wife and young daughter can't travel with me) and the fact that it's a humiliating waste of three work days with almost no compensation, sitting on display behind a table and praying someone asks you to draw something you don't really want to draw for a few bucks.

Conventions are largely obsolete.

Favorite Weird Al song would be Dare To Be Stupid.

No, because Zack thinks Cyberfrog is a "monster" and that the Jawbreakers would just shoot him on sight.

Cyberfrog would want to know why these humans were trying to kill him, since all he wants to do is protect them, and then Salamandroid would just utterly destroy them because they were in his brother's way. (He's allowed to kill people if they prevent his brother from carrying out his mission.)

But maybe one of my other creations would work.

@FROG

What was working at DC Comics like? Do you approve of their newest lines of stories?

It was fun! I loved working for DC Comics, especially when my ideas were used and I was picked for the best projects. Working with Geoff was a great experience. It got kind of oppressive at the end though. Having no input into the stories and grinding out issues that took place in the middle of stories of which other artists had drawn the first two chapters became kind of dispiriting, and then eventually, when ComicsGate began to happen, I really needed to go just to be able to protect myself.

I don't read current DC Comics because it's not part of my work. When I read comics, they're older books, or the works that fellow indies are producing. So I have no opinion about the newest line of stories.

OK, for starters, Key Lime can go mince off to the cakes and dessert cart where it belongs, it like it's faggot friend cheesecake, just can't be taken seriously as a pie, because it just doesn't take itself seriously as a pie.
And cherry is disgustingly sweet. You don't deserve that collection.

'Tism me bitches.

@FROG

Do you see the current "culture war" shit around comics ending anytime soon or do you think it will drive comics to it's grave?

Also what's your favorite dinosaur?* I ask for SCIENCE! ofcourse *

The current means of distribution is dying, which will wipe out a huge percentage of comics publishers, retailers and creators. I don't think there's any way around that...people want convenience when they buy things and hopping into your car for a trip to the comic book shop, hoping they'll have what you want, just isn't sustainable vs. the internet.

Comics will survive. I hope people love them enough to keep fighting the culture war to preserve them as an entertaining hobby, and not a means of propagandizing a dwindling audience. That's why I am a part of ComicsGate.

I love all dinosaurs, no favorites, but today I'll say the Hadrosaurus, because it's a local point of pride. One of the world's most historic dinosaur discovery sites is located in this town of Haddonfield, New Jersey, a few miles from my home. In 1858, the first nearly-complete skeleton of a dinosaur found anywhere in the world was pulled from a farmer's marl pit here. That fossil -- Hadrosaurus foulkii -- allowed scientists to study the unique anatomy of a dinosaur for the first time. It also became the first dinosaur skeleton ever mounted for display in a museum.

I haven't visited the site of discovery yet, but I understand that there's a little rocky embankment with clay walls and a stream running through it. That means it's a good site to sieve small fossils. Maybe I'll livestream from there, and find some prehistoric shark teeth.

Yeah that's what I think too, Marvel and DC will probably survive because they are owned by megacorps but guys like Image,IDW and Dynamite will probably join Dreamwave if things don't change.

And that's a cool dino I'm kinda jealous my state doesn't have our own.

Yeah, be warned the threads tend to sap away time almost as well as twitter. And I'm happy that I can finally read my comic about a frog that beats up on giant wasps now; been waiting a while on that one.

I'm going to laugh if this turns into a new boom that leads to more capeshit movies. It will drive the loonies on twitter into apoplexy and aroused rage (since you KNOW half of that hate is directed out of some sick fetish).

Aren't you from Utah and isn't that a Utahraptor as your avatar?

Do bookstores in the US have a large comic section?
Our comic culture isn't that great, we don't really have many comic book stores in Germany.
Most people here get their comics/mangas from normal bookstores.
Comics got so unpopular here that mangas take at least more than two times the space in bookstores.

I took this photo in a Thalia bookstore in Berlin:

What is your take on mangas?
