If anything they really need to listen to EVS and build up their own audience, whether it's on youtube, twitter, facebook, or whatever. That EVS bump is good, hell it's amazing, but if it's sink or swim for you based on a two hour stream that may or may not happen, you're doing it wrong. Look at Sweetcast, built up his youtube audience, launched the book and got funded on his own that same day.

Ethan went from a few thousand followers to an audience of over 100k and I warn anyone with that kind of audience you're going to attract a lot of thick teasers, skeezers and weirdos.
I think a most of these spergs want Ethan to do the work FOR them like he's some kind of audience genie. He's "helped" people before and if you have to ASK him for it you probably don't want it.
These whiny bitches don't want to become a "person of interest" and expect everyone to love them. First time someone tells them they hang out behind pizza palace they lose their mind, and respond to any criticism with a Nasser and Ro level of autism.

@bleedingfool has zero integrity as a website. They created an official account on kiwi farms to say that I'd use this forum to dox people and lie to get info and post it here. Then deleted their account when a mod called them out for a logging me so fuck your opinions bleeding fool.

Taking part in Comicsgate would be a bad idea in my current position -my current line of work and the jobs I'm applying for involves background checks, including probably a simple google search. I can't really afford to have my name attached to what's been labeled online as a "Nazi hate movement", even if in all probability my famous namesake's results would drown them out, and most employers would probably discount it as "internet rubbish"...

(I'm not suggesting EVS would accept me onto his streams or I'd otherwise be prominent, but y'know, just overthinking worst case scenarios etc)

The hitpieces are dying down and changing tone. It's gone from "They're a RACIST HATE GROUP" to "THEY'RE GRIFTERS" to land here at "It's all EVS's CULT!"

People have real concerns now, the comics industry is manifesting serious signs of decline and impending doom, so there's very little to say about Richard C. Meyer at this point. Now it's a squabble over power and control and who isn't getting enough attention.

Eventually things will simply just quiet down. The Direct Market will change or die. ComicsGate will do what it was meant to do: Become a bunch of little satellite groups of Indie publishers using social media and crowdfunding to get their work out there under the radar of the SJW mainstream. Meanwhile, some of the bigger independent publishers (IDW, Valiant, BOOM, Dynamite) will turn to us for books and promotion.

There's a lot of fun to be had and money to be made for those brave enough to stand up to some heat, and smart enough to market their own work well.

True, things have slowed down a bit, especially since Ya Boi dumped twitter and is holding off on the salt and you don't get much controversy because you keep your nose pretty clean. Not a lot of clicks to be had from Ya Boi getting excited about stamps. If the deal with Dynamite goes well, then yeah I agree these other publishers will try to get in on the action later on down the line. They'd be fools not to eventually try to get a piece of the guy who has a consumer base that got him over $800k
 
I'm really into the New 52 from DC at the moment, I hope Bats goes back to that quality when Tom King is gone. But if even half of Marvel#s main titles were as good as New 52, and of their staff knew how to behave themselves with customers, ComicsGate might not even have gotten s far as it did...

Am I a sped for wanting some of the splash damage to hit newspaper comics as well? I honestly prefer webcomics to the classic three-panel play, myself.

I would assume it's a matter of time differences and the fact that she's a political voice as well as a comic creator. So she's probably busy doing a lot of that. She has her own channel and does pretty regular streams there, so maybe look into those?
 
My problem with comicsgate is it's a very temporary solution. the Indiegogo crowd will inevitably dry out and you're most likely not going to get work in the industry cuz you intentionally or unintentionally burnt bridges by associating with them.


But anti comicsgate piss me off something fierce it's literally people trying to stop other people from creating for no real reason.

Yeah, I love having Martina on! She's active in our private OG Comicsgate Live DM chat, but I started a new room called Second ComicsGate Live DM Chat, with new creators in it, and as you may have noticed, I've been focused on new stuff lately.

But I'll get her on again ASAP.

In the UK (where he gets his rep) Carl Benjamin is a Far-Right Extremist. Here Gavin McInnis (who she supposedly dated) started the Proud Boys which they love calling White Supremacist regardless of not agreeing with their membership diversity or any official doctrine that would say such but whatever .

Anything that is not liked by the by the Far-Left is Far-Right or Nazi. You have to take what the internet tells you with a grain of salt.
