The difference is we remember the good stuff for being good, not woke. We forget the bad stuff simply.because it was bad.

Full Metal Jacket was political as you can get, but it's a damn fine movie, and still holds up near 40 years later. That 40 dollar cover is shit no matter what and will be forgotten in a month.

I like the logo but the title has been stretched beyond the breaking point. The joke only works if the book is called "Rainbow Brute." Rain-bro Brute is clumsy sounding and Rainbow THE Brute is just as bad. I think the whole idea is stupid TBH––something that shouldn't be more than a two page joke. Also the tagline is stupid. This is what happens when boomers get ahold of memes.

Yeah, it's one of those things you pass by and you don't notice till it's pointed out. Sad, just sad. How long did they work on this comic, considering I've only heard about it now, and it's out... now?

In other news, MARVEL has been putting out these "True Believers" issues. I've been picking them up because it's nice to have reprints of old series. It's also amusing to me to go into the "new" section of my shop and instead of picking up the current run of these series, I leave the store with 20 different issues of classic runs. At $1 an issue it's hard to pass up. They've also put out the Facsimile editions which run a little more but are still interesting to get if you can't find the original prints.

In more news, Jane Foster is officially Valkyrie and has her own run again - making her... Cancer Thor/All-Mother/Valkyrie...I'll be interested in seeing how much this one sells. Jason Aaron and Al Ewing... Good luck boys.

I can finally say my LCS is the proud owner of shelf warmers Ignited issues 1 and 2. As they sit there, there are 6 copies of Issue 2 and 8 of issue 1. I will be checking back to see if they've moved.
