There was an Adam Strange mini-series in the early 90s that basically was what King is now promising.

Adam Strange (who basically is a low rent Flash Gordon in a Buck Rogers style astronaut costume) who due to plot device cosmic rays, constantly gets teleported to an alien world every couple of months to serve as that world's protector. Adam was one of DC's first non-legacy Silver Age heroes; having a rather lengthy run as headliner in Strange Adventures (which was a sci-fi anthology) and made regular guest spots in Justice League America. Later stories, since the 00s, have focused a lot on the sort of blood feud which exists between Adam Strange's adopted world and Thanagar, the homeworld of Hawkman (which is a super fascist police state and super xenophobic to the point of farce).

The early 90s mini-series was pretty much what you probably will get from King if he goes all in on using Adam to bash Trump. Adam Strange was presented as an uncooth, adulterous (literally cheating on his alien wife, who was pregnant with his child) asshole who actually never does anything right and who basically disrespects (something he never did in any story before or after said mini) his adopted world's culture and is a huge fucking jerk.

The story also implies that he was only brought to said world to seduce/fuck his wife, as her father hoped interbreeding humans and his species would solve a Handmaiden's Tale type infertility plague that had resulted in 20 years passing since the last child was born on the planet.

The mini ended with Adam forced off-planet in disgrace after his wife dies giving birth and him bringing his SJW mistress with him to the alien world so she could force the people to abandon their science committee controlled government for liberal democracy with her "guiding" the transition (IE ruling from the shadows).

The mini-series was universally reviled so much, that MARK FUCKING WAID used his very first fill-in story on the 1996-2005 Justice League series retconning the mini-series HARD, complete with undoing the death of Adam's wife and erasing the mistress from existence.

His Avengers and Thunderbolts runs were top notch, too.

Runs he can't really talk about and probably will disown any day from now given that 70% of the Thunderbolt cast are former Nazis (and the fact that Busiek turned Baron Zemo from joke villain that exists solely that Cap can punch him to a loveable rogue who everyone loves). And Avengers has SJWs as one of the central big bads of the series, revisits the whole "affirmative action is evil" thread with the second affirmative action hire forced onto the Avengers turning out to be a traitor, and has as a major plotline, kink shaming/robosexuality shaming with Busiek constantly crapping on the fan preferred couple Vision and Scarlet Witch in order to force Wonder Man/Scarlet Witch instead, even though Wonder Man is a corrupt Trump like businessman who got his powers FROM Nazis and repeatedly scapegoats his mentally ill brother for all of the financial crimes he committed; to the point of having his mother lie to the rest of the Avengers to cover his ass even after his brother takes his own life after Simon got his mother to help gaslight him.

Sheeet, I didn't know @FROG was a kiwi. I've backed both Cyberfrog and Earthworm Jim. I am 100% going to back Rainbow Brute and Kyle Ritter's book because that art is beautiful, even though I'm poor. I know Doug backed out of CG for business reasons because he works in Hollywood and can't really support Comicsgate. I mean, I don't really care and I understand. Comicsgate's not really a movement or anything, its just creators making independent books without any of the pretentious bullshit.

As to the drama, I have no idea what's going on. I just want to read some good funny books. Maybe Doug just misinterpreted something? I don't know. I have no idea why. Lately he's been cosying up with some very strange people and I see he had Nerkish back on his channel this week after a long absence, which was an odd move and interesting timing. He seems just like all the other speds that 'leave comicsgate' (excepting the fact that Doug has experienced actual success in his life), but they only ever seem to run from it as far as the arms of anti-comicsgate, so that they can then continue to bitch like some bitter, neurotic ex-girlfriend instead of moving on. It also seems to me that Doug opportunistically used Sketch Therapy's sperg out as an excuse for him to disavow comicsgate, appease the IP holders of Earthworm Jim and maintain his inflated sense of moral superiority by 'walking away from abuse', when in reality he's just butt-hurt about getting called out as a carpet-bagger that saw his ticket back to the mainstream and punched it.
I thought it was pretty ungracious not to acknowledge EVS at the SDCC panel in at least some small way. Tucci and TenNapel weren't too proud to go cap in hand to comicsgate when they needed money, expertise and an audience, (EVS ran a 12hr stream for Bigfoot Bill he didn't have to and raised 40k for the man) but they cucked pretty hard when it came to acknowledging the 'elephant in the room' at the con. It seems like Doug's famous 'loyalty' and the 'moral principles' that guide him have a tendency to evaporate pretty quickly just as soon you no longer serve any utility for him.

Warcampaign certaintly need tard wrangling, being salty for a day is understandable, stalking Doug for a month or two however is psychotic, particularly in the case of that Panboy twat who seems to be at the center of every stupid gay op and taking it well beyond a joke. I hope somebody actually takes him up on one of his frequent offers to 'fight me IRL faggot!', that would be entertaining.

I suspect this post won't go over well with anyone on any side of this, but it feels like something that needs to be said, and said to you in particular.

From the perspective of someone who's definitely not a normie but is also mostly an outsider to the American comics scene outside of watching Zack ya boi's videos, the idea of "SJWs" seems severely dated even if they haven't gone away. It conjures up visions of youtubers like Sargon having his various slapfights with Anita Sarkeesian for the millionth time. The sort of depraved behavior they're exhibiting nowadays makes those squabbles look downright quaint by comparison. Still using "SJWs" as a shorthand for these people in 2019 doesn't do justice to the gravity of the situation or adequately describe their true intentions.

As far as comicsgate as a whole goes, I want to support it, but can only do so half-heartedly. I've written books (not comics) that both "SJWs" and "anti-SJWs" would likely consider highly indecent, incoherent, and quite possibly insane since 2015, so the idea of opposing an industry of nepotistic moral busybodies appeals to me, but the way comicsgate goes about doing so is itself restrictive. In a lot of ways you've traded the oppression of traditional publishing industry gatekeepers and those in the media/social media who they bend over backwards to pander to in for the tyranny of the masses. I understand the logic behind that, can almost sympathize with it, and see why you'd see it as a kind of liberation compared to how the comic book industry conducts itself, but to me it's still artistic slavery, only to the whims of a slightly more amenable set of masters.

That being said, I'm self-aware enough to know that this probably isn't a real issue to anyone with more "normal" or "sane" artistic sensibilities than me, and that a lot of what I'm saying will seem doubly irrelevant considering the difference between my medium and comics. Which isn't even getting into the question of art vs. entertainment and all the tomfoolery associated with that issue. Still, I had to say this to someone and seeing you here today made me decide that this was the time and place to do it.
