Waid's sales poison; everything he's done in the last 5-6 years at Marvel will fall out of print and never be reprinted ever again. His Flash run is about to be permanently sent to the trashbin of "shit we can't believe we thought was good" now that DC is FINALLY reprinting the Baron/WML run (which is superior to Waid's garbage run) and DC will never fucking hire him ever again and he'll have to watch Barry Allen (who's negative rep is partially due to Waid shitting all over Barry and creating the modern "Barry is a petty, vindictive shit who will destroy Wally's life and kill everyone he meets as payback for being forgotten" take on the character) forever be enshrined as Flash in the hearts and minds of everyone, even as his mortal enemy Scott Lobdell now has full custody of Wally and will definitely NOT let go, because he has every reason (and thanks to HiC, the justification) to make Wally HIS character and make everyone forget that Waid ever bad-touched Wally.

Nerkish had that kind of “I’m crazy and don’t give a shit about anything” vibe, and his livestreams were legitimately great, with him and Cecil swapping equally insane (and probably exaggerated) life stories. He also came off as the least spergy out of the OG Comicsgate crew, like he was the only one who wouldn’t get upset at Kitty Pryde’s eyes being the wrong color or whatever.

But it was kinda impossible for him to keep that “doesn’t give a shit” image alive when he cut and ran the second somebody might’ve had dox on him. I don’t blame him at all for doing what he had to do to protect his family, but there was just no way he could keep up that persona still.

He still makes videos, he’s just transferred over to doing weird political clickbait. I actually had to double check just now to make sure I was still subscribed, because it’s the kind of content that I’ll scroll past in my feed every time without watching.

Honestly, I still think Waid is a good writer. Just finished reading the Legion Threeboot (never forget that this fucko rebooted Legion twice for some reason), and Waid’s early issues are just so much better than everything else, especially when the series ended with Jim Shooter being horny every issue.

I remember liking his reviews, but for me he kind of got stale, I think I transferred to liking him and Cecil, and I was legitimately looking forward to Cash Grab. As for his Nerkish tonight shit, once he deleted all his reviews and focused on that, I noped out. I don't give two shits about politics, I didn't care about them in my comics, so why would I watch the unfiltered shit, yanno?

If he ever went back to the old shit, stopped being a hack, and produced entertaining shit again, I'd come crawling back.
