I like how people think they can escape the "Comicsgate" label when literally everyone who does something the people screwing up don't like get called "Comicsgate". This has been brought up before when Zack said he's "leaving" and I'm sure you all notice how often his name still comes up in relation to a "comicsgate".

Comicsgate will be just like Gamergate, after everyone's moved on and it becomes just another dead and gay internet movement only complete failures will bring it up to try to excuse their fuck ups and gain sympathy/work from saps because everyone hates them for being horrible pieces of shit.

The title of Comicsgate may die but as long as the comics industry continues to self destruct and people are creating indie comics as an alternative, it'll still be around at least in spirit. That's the difference with Gamergate - CG has something tangible for people to buy.

I gotta admit, they look fantastic, EVS. Slightly disappointed I only bought the original cover now that I've seen these but I'm still stoked to get mine and I got some great t-shirts that people in the Cayman Islands found hilarious. So, thanks, frogman.

Google search of the below terms yields a somewhat recent swipe at CG, particularly Ethan trying to be Rainbow Friendly.

Somebody was bringing up his anti-LGBT comments and someone who seems to defend Doug a lot swooped right in to contradict it. I think Doug hired or was forced to hire a PR firm, gave him twitter access, and they're doing damage control. I could see a person like Doug rationalize hiring a PR firm and as long as he personally didn't delete the tweet or direct it and they did in the course of their job, he didn't betray his beliefs.
Next level explanation is he's two-faced. Pandering to people siding with Mike Miller wrt the Pride Month comment against Ethan in that timeframe, then deleting the comment later to minimize the risk of tracing back to him.

Got to look at Robbie Rectum in his habitat: condemned convention circuit. I wanted to get a good picture of him but I got bored of waiting for him to get back to his table. Bitch takes a lot of breaks.
Christopher Priest was there, got my Vamp and Deathstroke Rebirth signed, but got to chat with him a little bit about a few things. Namely, his run on Spider-Force. He made a joke about having to read all of Spider-Geddon to prepare his run, saying "there's just so much shit to read" and laughed about it. I don't blame him... These fucking tie-ins are everywhere, across sometimes too many side-issues. He also recounted a dinner with Dan Slott saying he's a good guy and how much lore he went into regarding Spider-Man. Priest joked that there was so much he wanted to just 'quick comics', I don't know much about Slott's personal life, whether he's a retard on Twitter or not, so I didn't bother pursuing that particular story. I don't give two shits about Dan Slott anyway.
I also asked him off-handedly if he based his psychiatrist character from the current Vamp run off himself, he chuckled and said he was channeling more Samuel Jackson. Apparently, a lot of people think the character is based on him.
I also met Bob Hall and he humbly took credit for only CO-creating West Coast Avengers, giving more credit to Stern for it. Still, the WCA was my favorite B-team that recently got ruined with the Kelly Thompson run... Hyperbolic of course, something you can easily ignore can't ruin a good thing. But it hurt seeing how absolutely shit it was... Kelly Thompson just writes everyone as retarded Millenial/Gen Z hipster douches because I'm sure that's what she lives around and wishes she could be, instead of an only untalented bitch.
I didn't really talk to a lot of others, because I'm a pretty shitty con-goer, I usually go in with a mission, but I'll add more shit if I talk to anyone else tomorrow.
Edit: I also met a Godzilla suit actor. Got him to sign a poster... It was awesome.
