Today's shit storm started with this tweet (at least for me, it's the first one I saw).

It's been going for few hours now, between many pro creators with staggering result of less than 100 retweets. And so far no-one, no-one, just stood up and said, that people are simply curious of thise comics, but don't find them good enough to buy and maybe if you're operating at almost loss, you should find better job (or writer, because Crowded is plain bad).

I hope they unionize and pay all the earnings in entry fees only to realize it made it worse.

(Also, from this place, I want to thank all the pirates for doing the god's work and delivering the goods to my bum fuck nowhere, so I can make informed choice and which comics are shit like Crowded and not worth the 40+usd in shipping. Carry on.)

Doug is criticized because Ethan doesn't like him, period.
Also Ethan's toadie Cecil never liked Doug from the start, specifically because of his Christian background. This is admitted. Cecil is an admitted bigot against Christians because of his own religious upbringing with had a negative effect on him.
A Bigfoot Bill video game that some company is making has nothing to do with comics or comicsgate.

Why is pro-EVS propaganda allowed to stand in this thread while actual criticism is removed?
The point of comicsgate was to criticize the comics industry. If Ethan, Richard etc are now "part of the industry" (as they like to trumpet now; "you can't ignore us!"), then they can and should be fairly criticized.
Instead this thread is turning into pure spam.

It isn't about shilling for indie books trying to dupe people into thinking "If I buy this it'll surely teach those SJWs a lesson!"
Richard Meyer's comics are amateurish at best. "They look great"--wow, do you even know comics? I wouldn't buy this stuff if it was in a bargain bin.

It isn't spam, it's just an opinion that's different to yours.
I believe in promoting original artwork from talented creators. So far, ComicsGate has given me more access to some of the best talent to have work done for my YouTube channel.

I agree with you on some aspects of what you said, I do think creators should be criticized fairly for their shortcomings and work to improve.

Comics that dont make a profit get canceled? there is a small comic publisher called MARVEL that doesnt care about porfit as long as you are a nigger, pedo, woman or fag,,,

Dont PooPoo on ZaC! his comics are special, yes he should get better artists, but those dont work with him right now.
He works hard, he tries everything to make buying his stuff a good experience and he isnt a dick.

You can criticize, mock or outright insult anyone you'd like. I do think it is important to remember the things you do love once in a while, however.

As for Ya Boi, every campaign he improves. If you remember his first campaign, every other video was about him making a mistake, ordering the worst thing and making a blunder of everything. Now? That doesn't happen. He has improved his turn around time, improved the quality of his books with the Remaster of Jawbreakers and makes a point to not endorse or promote any group like WarCampaign. Zach is a creator that I think should be the one to emulate if only for the improvements on each campaign. That's my thoughts.

Frankly this goes to show how shit the comics industry is doing. 95,000 reads over ten issues, that's under what most pirated manga debut at, and even with massive drop offs for the most garbage of series they still hold better than 9,500 an issue.
 
Currently watching Ethan live stream on youtube, he's got Ya Boi Zack and the incredible clinging man Cecil.
This is starting to get too funny for me to lurk. I respect Richard a lot, to be honest. He's the only person with a lot of recognition in comicsgate who doesn't use his fans as an army and doesn't get involved in shitslinging for the most part.
This stream, however, is a good example of how even when Zack does get involved in twitter drama, it's from a perspective of "This kind of stuff is a waste of time and it's killing your business."
Ya Boi then moves on to continue not posting on twitter and focusing on books.
Ethan however was looking for twitter drama, participated in it himself, and then started livestreaming just blowharding about how great he was, how he never had to worry about piracy because he got royalties and his books sold so well.
Zack saves Ethan subscribers every time he joins a livestream.
I'm sitting here wondering how long before Ya Boi gets too big for Ethan to feel like he's still above him.

As Ethan increasingly does the things that Zack doesn't do, Ethan continues to accrue haters and disgruntled members of his own mob.
Zack saw this all coming a long time ago, warned people about 'getting too into' comicsgate, and started distancing himself.
Nostradamus is a former marine and Sunny-D factory employee who decided he'd stick around to see how this dumpsterfire burned out.
Though I will say, the funniest part is Cecil pretending he doesn't expect to make six figures with a book that is literally called 'Cash Grab'. I wonder if that job interview crunching numbers in the Caribbean fell through somehow...

I found that even in non-filler issues of the manga I wanted to get into, there was a weird presence of 'slice of life' that American comics were probably too short per floppy in order to really get into. Well... I say that, and Marvel is probably a month away from rebooting Wasp which was like an Archie comic about a diverse group of female lesbians written by a dude with a brain tempered in soy.
Chip Z is writing a good daredevil run, it suffered from lack of a good artist for like 5 issues in the middle but he's got a really talented guy working on it again now.

But the interesting part, the only way these SJW idiots can compete and win, is by censoring their competitions, via de-platforming, kicking people of social media, and finally losing their jobs for income

its not what it used to be, I believe Palcomix is now on basically the 5th gen iteration, which are now mostly populated by furry porn artists. back then it was mostly with a lot of amateur artists that are anime fans and basically cartoon fans, you can get porn comics of even obscure 80s saturday morning cartoons. heck, someone drew Candy Candy porn.

But yeah over the years, the lost and gained some artist, but now populated by mostly furry artists. Ah... the memories.

But if you think about it, Palcomix has been around since the early start of 2000s and still standing today, so surely, they must be more profitable than indie comix

There are still those of us who believe in creating original content that is free from moral busybodies and identity politicians at every level of development. As long as there are customers who enjoy fantasy content that isn't about a 5'1" 90lb. woman doing backflips and defeated 10 250 lb Marines at a time or having women wear a garbage bag over their entire body, there will be creators who provide.
