Warcampaign stood with him even when he was lied to and tricked into thinking they were guilty of things they were not.
It's pretty apparent that he has plenty of audience behind him and it's only going to keep growing.
Warcampaign has been caught lying red handed on several occasions. Ro lying on stream to Ethans face when he was caught DMing with Renfamous during the Jon Del Arroz incident. Warcampaign clipped footage of Crypto Comics stream and made it look like he said he wanted backer info from IGG to dox all of CG, when he really said he just wanted to dox Panboy (Matt Hanson.) Even more recently Reinoe was caught out by faking discord screenshots implying that Fan Advocacy Network was a pedophile and had CP.
I don't deny that over 300K in one day isn't impressive, thats over 3 times what Earthworm Jim made in its first day. However the campaign isn't over yet and is currently sitting at around 2500 backers. I would be interested to see what this campaign finishes at in terms of backers rather than dollar amount and if the majority of CG has backed in the first day massively front loading this campaign. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Warski's an ineffective coked out autist but he has some potential to deal real damage to Comicsgate. And all he has to do is tell the truth. Just point to the very existence of Warcampaign, the sperg drama between CG members, all of that.
Agreed, Andy Warski's nine live's must rival that of Darksyde Phil. The guy has had mental breakdowns on stream, may or may not have got nudes off underage girls, then the whole "Florida Incident" last year, the trouble Andy seems to get himself into would destroy anyones reputation but he somehow manages to come out of it relatively undamaged. His dealt with SJWs for years, the mainstream media popularizing him as an alt-right figurehead, had numerous communities from the chans to the Farms out to get him and yet he keeps on chugging along. If Warcampaign thinks that dildo memes are going to be an effective strategy to get him to back off, they are gravely mistaken. Worse still, if Andy and Geek actually put out some decent content on the underbelly of autism that exists in CG, this will only attract the attention of other larger personalities to the spectacle. Mister Metokur was rumored to be working on a Comicsgate video months ago and if others like EZPZ, Ethan Ralph, The Internet Historian and Mr Obvious feel like this shitshow is a good chance for ad revenue or clout then Andy Warski could be the least of CGs problems.
CG WINS THATS WHAT WE DO GET ON BOARD THIS TRAIN!!!
All aboard the autism train, toot toot!
Stealing solo? Detective dead? Lady alchemy? Books that are almost a year late? Multiple great artist leaving to the point cg is left with the anti sjw channels that Ethan said that was a dead phase? Yeah total winners.
From what I've heard, TUGs book was a steaming pile of dogshit too and I'm sure other recent entries like Wart the Wizard will only help cement CG's reputation for "quality comics."
I don't know anything about those guys. If you wanna see winning it's happening weekly on
WENGCAST!
Hard pass.
Is that a good spread. 300 grand off of two thousand backers?
For example, 737 of them backed at the 200 dollar tier. By my math, that comes out to 147,400 dollars of his sales. An additional 20 backers account for 33,000 of the total, in gimmicks such as survivor and original artwork tiers.
It would appear so. The third Cyberfrog: Team Up Variant raised just over $250K with around 4800 backers, so this campaign has achieved a much higher value with less people, which means people are paying for higher tiers.
I would like to point out how the perks in this campaign seem far worse for value.
*The $25 single book option in this campaign comes unsigned (in fact I believe none of the books are signed at any tier) and without the frog sticker compared to the previous campaign.
*The $100 headsketch tier in this campaign only contains 1 book, as opposed to the original campaign which included the book, the 1998 ashcan of the $50 tier and the sticker.
*The $200 executive tier is by far the worst offender. You receive the Rekt Planet Book, the Salamandroid comic, The Special Edition of Bloodhoney and the Cyberfrog Numb comic in a special box. 4 comics and a box for $200. However with the $200,000 stretch goal unlocked, all backers will now receive Cyberfrog Numb for free at any tier. Meaning the Executive backers are essentially paying $150 for the special edition Bloodhoney and a box, its even worse for International Backers who will have to pay $40 for shipping. So really just buying Rekt planet and adding on Salamandroid at checkout will get you Cyberfrog Numb for free with $15 international shipping. Thats $65 compared to $240 and all you will be missing out on is yet another copy of Bloodhoney and a cardboard box.
