We're in a world where Doug TenNapel is performing puppet shows for Comic Book Hut's channel.
Anything can happen. The old order twists in the howling voidwinds. Up is down. Black is white.
Yes it would be interesting to know what they have been upto. Feel free to either add more or tell me who, I have plenty of time on my hands thanks to WuFlu.
Charles is the creator for Lilith Dark for which he is writer and artist. It was origianally published through Alterna. Full Bio from his website, Archive.
He's currently producing a semi autobiographical webcomic called Big Fat Charlie, Archive which as of 25th of Feb had 300 subs, Archive. I'm pretty sure all of his other work is pre-split and is yet to rerelease Lilith Dark.
Has a Patreon making $20 a month Archive and a Drip (Patreon but by Kickstarter) which last had a post on 2019-07-11. Archive... I guess... Also has a big ass merch store mainly featuring the girl from A-Z Guide to Jobs for Girls.
His socail media accounts and such are on his bio if you really want to look at them, he also has an old protected twitter account not mentioned there.
This is the freelancer who was fired Let go by Peter Simeti the creative team behind whatever book he was lettering, which sparked the whole block bot argument stuff.
Now I know nothing about lettering and unless it's very bad/good I can't tell the difference. This guy actually was already in the comic industry beforehand actually working their way up the publishers and has worked on a lot of comics and even several Heavy Metals recently so they must be good.
Also Did some work on Deadbeats.
I recently brought this, it's a good book, although the lettering on his other story isn't as good.
Looking this up makes me think the whole thing was originally a SJW creative having a tantrum cause they were told, "No you can't use blockbots or blockchains.".
Social media cause why not and it's very boring anyway.

2 things of note he look like this
and he was good friends with CW Cooke who is supposedly a bad person, my eyes glazed over about 3 paragraphs in... Blog, Archive and original google doc, which I don't know how to archive...
Worked on Amazing Age and was one of many who appeared in It Came Out On A Wednesday #1, his story was Bloodfist.
Currently they seem to be making a series called Holler of which the first issue was crowdfunded last month and is still in demand, Archive. Interestingly it was $10 for 32 pages, $20 if you wanted it signed. Even more interesting the perks shown on the page only make up $450 of $865.
Nothing really interesting going on apart from Holler was already in Diamond's preveiw book before the campagin was finished. Twitter post, Archive.
Just got a comment to make about his tweet announcing that Metaphase was to be pulled, he actually makes it sound more important than it actually was, unless anyone knows if there was to be a vol.2, since Metaphase was originally published as a graphic novel in 2015 the 2018 printing was just Alterna re-releasing it as a newsprint floppy and the last issue was still released, although that was most likely due to it was a week before it hit the shops.
Another person who worked on Amazing Age.
Nothing much again really, has a couple self published things which are just ticking over at a very slow rate and did a story for fellow Amazing Age creator Mathew David Smith for his Saturday Comics.

Also their own webpage is defunct but supposedly there are 5 saves on the WayBackMachine I just don't know how to view them.
OH GOD I've still got the Sleepships people to go... the other people from It Came Out On A Wedsnesday #1
Actually these people have the potential to be interesting since like Micah they were proper in the industry even doing work on Batman before doing some work for Alterna, I'll probably come back and do a proper write up on them later.

Its pretty crazy, his beat Bloodhoney in less than a day. With Todd doing this well I think a lot of other mainstream creators will definitely start looking at crowdfunding as a potential future for comics. Ethan, Doug and Brian Pullido's campaigns probably peaked their curiosity but by the time this campaign ends I think we'll see a lot more.
Its currently trending 3.3 million on backerkit, but in my experience those estimates are always too high.
by Todd McFarlane Production TODD MCFARLANE joins forces with Kickstarter to deliver an updated version of the original SPAWN action figure & comic (from 1995).
I'm not impressed, It's the toy and the autograph. a 'remastered' Spawn 1 thrown in as an afterthought shouldn't count.
I'm sure others will be interested but Todd McFarlane is unique in that sense. What will be interesting is the other 90s guys. Liefeld failed horribly at fundraising. SIlvestri? Larsen? Portacio? How do the others do.
I was hoping the Spawn figure didn't have the exposed articulation and had rubberized suit over the joints (like the hot toys batmen). Sadly, it's the opposite. Still might buy it though it looks amazing, and might have high resell value combined with the signature. My DX02 hot toys dark knight has already doubled in price in the secondary market so I might swap it with this.
Agree with the other guys, the comic book can kick rocks I really don't care for it.

Apples & oranges. When he makes that much on a comic crowdfund, then we should cheer how he "broke records" and compare him to comic creators who actually do comic crowdfunds.
Someone is sucking cgs dick for frog's validation. I've been s cger since late 2019someone like mike would outshine everyone in cg. Anytime a big creator join cg they get purity tested out or they leave due because their projects can't be involved with the autism known as Cg.

LOL!
Somebody's been drinking that Anti-ComicsGate koolaid with expiration date 2017.
When Ethan makes a real comic, and not advertise it as a Graphic Novel when he began, which it isn't, and doesn't lie in all of his campaigns and passes it off as "oh it's a genuine mistake!" i.e. the first book's page count, the "mistake" of fluting, the lateness, the coins, the multiple campaigns to conflate into one big record, then we'll talk about "breaking records" or even "holding records". As far as I can tell, IGG allows backers to back multiple times, and the backer counts inflates because of that. That's not the same as Kickstarter, you only get to back once on one product, unless you're dedicated to create a whole new e-mail for new account to back again. For all we know, he doesn't even have 4,000+ backers, but a lesser number than that. The maths can actually be easily figured out if we just look at how many people backed what perks and calculate it from there.
Oh, and when Ethan actually learns how to write a proper story, we'll talk.
That's the difference between Todd and Ethan. Not too fond of Spawn's story myself, but it's a hell of a lot more interesting than goofyass ToastyToad. He can re-sell his issue with a merchandise and that's fine. You know why? Because his highest tier is still lower than Ethan's $200 grift perk. You must be drinking some expired horse cum to think everything else Ethan's put up to inflate his prices isn't merch as well in other perks. Todd has the better merch. Move the fuck on.
Well Edwin talked about the "tribunals" wc set up to scare newcomers and nerkish was purity tested but said he was adjacent then he was getting doxxing threats.
It is impressive, but let's be honest, unlike Cyberfrog or Earthworm Jim, anyone chipping into this is all about the figure. The comic is incidental. Still cool, probably gonna get that for my dad.
Also, easy there Zack. You're getting a little too excited by Todd

Larsen can't even get people to buy his normal book. I can't imagine anyone shelling out double digits to buy a crowdfunded book from him.
He's not a big hitter, but I wish someone would put a good script in front of Chris Bachalo to draw. Dude is up there with Mike Allred in the category of "good artists who pick the worst fucking writers to work with."

Jawbreaker figures could be good, release one for each book or do a wave of 3 characters like silkworm, Zashi and Knifehand but Zack needs to find a toy license that would be interested in doing toy line based on his book.

Only if he has a reputable toy manufacturer in contact with. One of the factors that contributed to todd's successful crowdfunding is the fact that he's been doing toys for decades and known to be pretty good quality.
Todd McFarlane is like inches from being Comicsgate at this point. But going off this interview, I'm pretty sure Todd has no idea what's going on online. There's no way he'd ape Ya Boi Zack's talking points so closely in an interview with Forbes if he did.

To be honest mint collectible action figures have always been my guilty pleasure, more so than comic books. I would have probably got some Jawbreaker figs eventually if they were released but aren't over half the Jawbreakers team dead at this point? It was one of my main gripes with Godking, sure you can tell different stories from different periods of their careers but the tension is completely gone because we know that Silkworm and Kuffz will survive to the events of Godking and Devil Dog, Knife-Hand and Hellpriest all die during that event.
I like Jawbreakers and I like Zack, theres a lot of potential with his story. Killing off over half his team in book 2 was a mistake no matter which way you look at it. There wasn't enough time to become attached to the characters and now other stories involving them have less stakes, less of a sense of danger or what could happen. Godking would have been fine as a story if there had been other stories produced before the events of Lost Souls or between LS and Godking.
Also Earthworm Jim is now beaten, Spawn stands at 914K with over 7000 backers if anyones keeping track.
