they're all failed artists and writers.

That's a bit of a broad generalization. Some people's failures aren't entirely their fault, but then again, I don't have enough info on Doug and Miller to even make that conclusion. Anna on the other hand, seems to have just struck out (but she took to other platforms to try and get back in, she's relatively still young, so it's not like she had much to start off on to begin with) because as far as I know, everyone who lives in California is pretty much an artist of some kind. Someone's doing something, hoping they'll the next big thing, and people move to that state from all over the world. And from what I gather, most people have to put up with living with multiple roommates causing a lot of them to have trivial issues that hugely impacted their advancements.

There are a lot of creators who sperged out over Simeti's "no block chains" social media policy for Alterna creators. Simeti probably has a bad rep with SGM's circle of friends so he probably avoids him so he doesn't have to deal with the push back at dinner parties.
Still, he was, at one point, willing to do work for Doug, arguably one of the most divisive players on the crowdfunding gameboard, but drew the line with Peter because of his (laudable) company policy of not implementing Twitter blockchains? Is SGM really that dumb and so easily swayed by his current (hopefully waning) circle of vampiric "friends"? At that rate, how did he come into the orbit of Doug in the first place, however briefly, if he had all these soul-sucking SJWs constantly monitoring his activities?

Not to derail anything, but I was looking through the comments on Sean Gordon Murphy's YouTube "should I or shouldn't I crowdfund" video and Peter S. of Alterna said SGM wouldn't work with him. Of all the people SGM won't call for help, it's Peter?
It could be that SGM legally can't work with Peter or Alterna due to a rule in his current contract with DC, I imagine he couldn't work with Marvel or Image for the same reason. Personally and I mean this with all kindness I can to Peter, but SGM swapping from DC to Alterna would be a massive step backwards or downgrade.

Alterna has made some great decisions with their choices of doing things cheaper and getting their products into more hands but still their sales are a drop in the bucket compared to the big two. Alterna is a good company for up and coming artists and writers to get their product out there, SGM is at a different point in his career compared to someone trying to break into the industry. His entering that stage of his career where his starting to make a name for himself, without sounding rude he simply doesn't need Peter or Alterna.

Maybe in the future when his contract with DC expires he could do a collaboration with Alterna and shop around with other publishers but at the moment given his getting the Batman Murphyverse, it probably wont be anytime soon.

Doug and Sean are friends. Sean and Pete are not even acquaintances I think.

Sean wanted to help a friend out but wasn't looking to work with Simeti.

Doug loves SGM's work and Sean isn't an SJW himself.

It appears they are adults which is a rare thing among grown ups these days.

another day of watching quarterpounder getting publicly e-bullied by humble comic autist pro secrets

CF 2 is trending to make more money with fewer backers. He'll probably get around 750k (3/4 of CF 1) out of half the backers.

Funny thing Ethan and Richie were saying that the big two squeezing less fans for more money was bad for business just last year.

Also funny, Richie's squeezing his spergs for more money too and his backer count dropped even worse.

I guess they changed their minds about that being unsustainable and a harbinger of DOOOOOM!!!!!!

This time next year they'll be down 75% compared to 2018.

Apparently selling outrage & "hot dogs" at $30 each isn't sustainable long term.
It's an old story. One we've seen play out again and again.

Cross posting from the CG Dramawhore thread , looks like Ethan's and QuarterPounders internet fwendship is on the rocks again.

Potentially earliest Diamond shipping from August
Hopefully this will allow the industry (or what remains when Corona-chan is done with it) to pull the Diamond buttplug out and find a way to distribute independently.

According to Doug, Sean Gordon Murphy reached out to him. SGM was a massive fan of Earthworm Jim when he was younger and he contacted Doug asking what he could do to help promote Bigfoot Bill 2. Doug asked him to do a cover, and SGM agreed. I would also point out that technically SGM wasn't working for Doug, since he did the cover for free as a favor, which is why Doug never made a big fuss about taking the cover off the campaign.

It's been 3 years since Ya Boi made his youtube channel. Man how times flies when comic pros try to ruin your life over "mean" videos.

I hate how this faggot completely misses or at least only brings up one of the points of The Founder. Kroc was a savvy businessman but he also stole someone else's idea, never paid them royalties, and started serving shitty processed food. Oh wait, maybe he does get the point.

He's not entirely wrong though.

To review now that this is in the FINAL two days of its campaign, before @FROG leaves it up and runs infinite reruns, I took a second look.

His 'honeycomb boxset' contains this comic, blood honey, some non comic crap like a sticker cling, in a box for 200 dollars. That's 252,600 dollars of his 539,690 dollar total.

His cover art, again, has nothing to do with the comic, counts for 10,000 of his total or 262,600 dollars

His join the survivor tier accounts for a further five thousand, funny only one person chose that...263,600

More original artwork, we are now at 283,600 dollars!

Finally, the head sketch covers, ending at 287,000 dollars. Gimmicks and non-comic shit amounted to half of his current total.

By contrast...

Expendables go to Hell

T-shirt tier brought in 7200

Original art 12,500

Stallone signature 25,000

Grand total of Meyer's Expendables 203,288 dollar total...44,700.

People like tchotchkes. The little cards and posters are fun and kindof expected at this point.

I think the special boxes are neat but not something I intend to keep.

He doesn't get the point because he's still operating his business from the point of view of the McDonalds' brothers and not Ray Kroc. The McDonalds' brothers were happy running their one shop and didn't want anybody else taking control because it would mess with their method and the arbitrary standards they placed on themselves. Richard C. Meyer is the same way. One writer, meticulously writing and rewriting every script. One point of distribution: indiegogo. One campaign at a time. One man handling all communications with the printer, all marketing, and doing all of the administrative work. Ya Boi isn't building an empire like Ray Kroc (or Stan Lee), he's slaving away behind the grill like the McDonalds' brothers.

That said, there's nothing wrong with being a McDonalds brother. Just don't pretend like you're Ray Kroc when you're just some schmuck with a burger stand.

So from that video we get some pretty decent info.

- Zack will be attempting to release a new book once a month from May-September, could be four or five books total.
- He has two secret projects in the works (one is probably Desolation Wave.)
- Inspired by Todd McFarlane, he will be releasing a Hellpriest action figure crowdfund on IGG in September. It will come with a Luna figure and a weapon. (I'd prefer to get GodKing or the Cybernetic Warlord from LS tbh.)

I think the action figure might be a bad idea, especially this early. As someone who collects mint action figures, there's tons of things that can go wrong from cheap plastic, warped rubber weapons, terrible mold lines etc. Recently I moved house and my mint in the box Octabrain from Duke Nukem had a leg snap off in box during the move. It was pretty fucking heartbreaking.

I agree. I’d rather he continued to focus on improving his books and delivery methods. As far as the Hellpriest figure, I really like the character, but, as you said, there are other more visually interesting options. Devil Dog seems almost like an obvious choice considering he has cool armor and lots of guns.

I thought he would do silk worm (isnt he the guy wearing the black shirt and looks normal compared to the other heroes?) Since he's the face I believe.

He's doing a poll on youtube.

Tune in at 4 for the great coin debate.

I popped in to check it out, theres over fifty people in the chat waiting for a stream that doesn't start for another 2 hours. The majority of them are definitely Comicsgate, I noticed Warcampaign member Man Of S3x was in there. He was one of the WC members going after That Star Wars Girl recently over the Dynamite Vampirella cover.

Oh gawd nah! Why? Nothing good will come of this.

So gang, is Vikki another Morgue, a dude who hires an actress?

Be interesting, I think he could make a killing if he does these right. Course toy tards aren't to be fucked with.
