These idiots. The whole thing, that got all of this started was unprofessional conduct by people who were supposed to be professionals on social media.

Most people who go into the "arts" business tend to not understand the concept of professionalism. They think it's a "oh, it's the arts, I can do fuck all I want and do whatever because art is subjective! It's all about the arts, not the money!" They don't understand that proper conduct is a thing once they get out of school, they think that the rules and behaving shit is something you only had to do because schools enforced it.

You see, a while ago That Star Wars Girl/Anna's sister went missing and Anna in her grief started using her platform out missing person dispatches and anything possible to get her sister back. Was broadcasting all this a rational course of action? In my opinion it was not, but given her overwhelming grief I can't really fault her for it. The entire situation just made me sad to watch it. WC ringleader Ro Kabir however thought this was a great time to blast out rape jokes of Anna's sister to Sweetcast.

I could go over the details about the blowback from this, but the end outcome was that WC's reponse was to close ranks around Ro and "defend themselves" against all the Fandom Menace "attacking" them. Now, around half a year later, diehard WC members are very resentful at the idea of being asked to fund an "enemy" of WC, but are skirting around the real reason why Anna is considered an enemy in the first place (namely their disgusting conduct and refusal to take responsibility for it) so they're citing objections that, while true, would normally be ignored (the cover sucks, Anna doesn't support smaller CG creators). The last thing WC or anyone in CG wants to do is drag attention to anything related to this whole chapter so Ro is trying to fencesit on this as long as possible and give "wishy-washy" statements in an attempt to make this go away.

Pretty much.

You got picks of Malin. His sperg outs are rare, but sometimes hilarious. His SJWs are Nazis was hilarious.

Nevermind, here we go...

poor, poor Jonny.

But Jon's not the only special little boy throwing his toys.

Are you fucking kidding me with this shit. Comicsgate. Literally built on the customer is right, bitch!

Someone's hitting harder stuff than booze?

Pretty sure this asshat isn't fake...

Malin's next.

The grease WarCumpain has on Ethan is way worse than what Malin's got on him.

They're gonna force Ehee to choose.

Somebody pop some popcorn. This should be messy.

@FROG Decides to commit fraud tries to defend himself where as he just took down the campaign months after it, and threatens to sue critics what a fat autistic faggot. He looked like a gay tard ringleader too with out his wrangler.
Wait, what did he do, exactly? I don't actually know about this guy very much. All I really know about him is that what he says on Nick's streams and that he has an account here.

Cecil and Jon didn't listen, they were all goodie with WC but when they attacked they feel like they're betrayed, I bet Cecil will say "I known War Campaign was trouble from the start." Like he did with doug, Cecil WC was never compromised, they are the same shitty gayop purity testing garbage that TI'ed cash grab. I'm surprised Jon and Cecil were still friends with WC after making fun of anna and Cecil downplayed it during a jack stream when Anna call them out.

They're gonna force Ehee to choose.

You know Ethan is going to choose wc and will go in a therapy session saying "JoN StAbBeD mE iN ThE bAck. Why EveRyOne HatEs me*sigh* Christain Men bad".

Bragged that his coins are near-pure silver, got caught by a small potato channel that they were the cheapy type being overpriced from Dynamite (huh), and then only after being caught by her chose to refund the nerds that bought them under false pretences, and then proceed to livestream and dogpile this small potato channel where at one point he threatened to Mark Waid her with a lolsuit.

Very cool!

he had a campaign where he was selling some kennedy half dollars for 25 dollars with his comic book character painted on them. He claimed that they were 99.9 percent silver and supposedly the ink peeled off real easy. But the fact the coins weren’t silver was confirmed so he took down the campaign and offered refunds after numerous people called him out on it.

Oh. Well I guess if he was offering people refunds after fucking up this coin thing then that isn't inexcusable, but threatening a sicc a lolsuit on someone for calling you out seems pretty scummy. This is pretty disappointing.

Correction: Stickers not ink.

yeah... I’m a fan of his, but that was pure bullshit and he shouldn’t have gone that route over something that really was his fault in the first Place.

It's a wonder that these artists have gotten as close to hitting deadlines as they have. Artists are even less reliable than musicians. Musicians have to show up within an hour of the event starting once or twice a week. Artists aren't used to that kind of structure

In between the getting called out and finally offering refunds, I think there was also a whole bunch of acting like Ethan Van Sciver about the issue, refusing to admit that there was a refundable problem, etc. Could be wrong, but I have that impression of events

Nah.

He said he'd offer refunds but he never took down the store until Vikki released the video.

He knew his coins were bogus for weeks if not from the start but he only stopped selling them when the heat got turned up.

If Ethan's typing then he's lying.

You have to wonder just how many of the people "trying to destroy comicsgate" are actually "trying to get their money back through the refund process"

But Jon's an atheist...

In all seriousness, Cecil hated Doug from the start because his faith triggered him. Doesn't mean he knew anything deeper.

So no one covered this.

Dan Didio and Joe Quesada meeting up! They turned the comments off.

17 minutes pretty interesting, he says people are too reverant to Jack Kirby's comics and they need to be improved.

They reference the comment around 110. Quesada is so fake. I don't use adult language while on the Marvel ticket my ass. but selling Spideys marriage to the devil is wholesome????

Well that was just...why comics are so fucked up right now.

I only watched the first half, but if you don't believe the mainstream comic industry is fucked, I'd recommend listening to Joe Quesada for the first 15 minutes there and register how blackpilled he is just by the focus of his conversation. First he talks about the natural "entropy" of organizations, reminisces about his experiences with dead and gone comic legends, and then vaguely continues on about the finite number of stories tellable in an established universe and the "grind" of constantly having to create new ones. These are not the sentiments of someone who believes comics has a bright future, or any future in all likelihood.
