Adam Post's COTD is the laziest shit comic I've ever seen. He uses the 6 panel layout on every page. Boring, repetitive and stupid.
Most of the book is blank page and they still fucked up and ran the art into the binding on the left pages.
Ethan Van Shits himself was just touting this as a "great success" and will no doubt be bragging next week about how many more of his paypiggies have bought the book just like that shit fest Wenger put out in a ziploc bag.
It's bad when Matthew "the cuck" Lewis outshines industry veterans. At least fatty matty fills the whole page. Adam Posts comic should have been printed like Garfield on the half pages.

Well I for one can appreciate the social distancing of each panel from the edge of the page. There's really nothing like an zombie action comic with tiny standardized panels packed with people talking it out.
Sciverfrog has successfully formed a small zombie customer base that will buy anything as long as he says it's "CG". After TUG's recent self-aggrandizing Little Nightmares + Jaws - mailbox run at the Kickstarter trough, I am almost at a loss for words. Farmers know that you don't even need to take the plastic bag off of the loaves of bread before throwing it to the pigs. In comicsgate, all you need is a group to belong to. Quality is welcome, but it's an afterthought.

I'm not going to watch that because J. Ishiro Finney has invited his one black fan on a stream and he's using the opportunity to showcase his OC furry art while Finney tries to offer professional advice on how to start a DBZ-inspired furfag battle manga. This is infinitely more entertaining then anything Fraga or Post could possibly bring to the table.

For the record it looks like Post opted not to get hard copy proofs from his printer to save money (my guess) then only realized they set the bleed wrong after the fact.
When he got the shipment and saw it was shit he sent it out anyway because he wasn't going to take a hit on printing a second run correctly. (Probably printed in China.)
Post should have gotten Alexopolous to do his printing.

Anyone who doesn't get a dummy proof is setting themselves up for failure. Spending a few extra bucks to make a lot more money in the long run shouldn't be a hard choice to make. Discoloration happens, blurry art happens, wrong numbered pages happen, ANYTHING can happen!
FYI Adam, you can use the same tools and manufacturers as the professionals but if you don't know dick about using them to their fullest potential, you're just another lazy fuck who took one look at the cover of MAD magazine and thought "I could do that! It looks easy!". What a waste of paper.

This is honestly the first I've heard about it, I've been spending a lot of time in the Spooney thread trying to catch up on everything, Chuck Wendig is on my to read list. I haven't really been keeping up with the #metoo drama in comics, @annnanovichova and @Analog Devolved have been doing good work reporting on it, so I figured I wouldn't step on their toes.
Slightly off topic but related to Chuck Wendig, I finally got around to reading Darth Vader: Dark Vision tpb last night. You might all remember the controversy surrounding it last year because the writer had Vader murder some obsessed nurse?
You reminded me Chuck Wendig was one of the most vocal opponents at the time, since this was the series he was supposed to write and originally it was a "fanboy" murdered by Vader. Anyway the mini series as a whole was kinda meh, without the outrage of the murdered nurse it is pretty forgettable.
I do find it funny that once again one of the most vocal male feminists online turns out to have a #metoo accusation levied against him.

The large influx of sales was likely due to the addition of two PVC collectibles added to the campaign. Rekt Planet is now officially the second largest crowdfunded comic in history, only slightly behind Order of Stick at $1,254,120. With Warcampaign out of the picture and Ethan appearing more amicable towards other disillusioned fans, perhaps OTS will be usurped in the coming months.

Zack claims that this character "Azaz" is crucial to the Jawbreakers universe, but neglected to reveal why, I guess we'll have to read to find out. He also announced in the same update that PANdemic and the Ballad of No would be closing on July the 17th. Kiwi's considering backing either of those two books have a little over two weeks to do so.

Preston Poulter aka @PocketJacks recently announced that he was connecting neophyte creators with comic book artists in a networking endeavor to help them get their projects off the ground.
For those not in the know, Poulter is currently running a comic creation contest, with a grand prize of $2000 going to the winner. Contestants must first pitch a character, then a 10 page script and the winner will gain the cash to put towards creating their comic project. Several familiar faces have already pitched including Thomas Roilup, Darth Lunga and Mecha McCheese. The first round of contestant pitches can be found below, the next round takes place in several weeks.
This reporter wishes all contestants good luck in the competition (except Lunga) who appears to have already rage quit and pulled out.
