He actually got really mad at me in a group chat once when he was whining about Tim and Nerkish and I told him to do the book with someone else.

Agreed, he couldve done 4 issues+ by now.

Yeah, going with the artist who ripped off his writer and still hasn’t put out his book two years after launching the campaign wasn’t a bright idea on Cecil’s part. He could have at least worked with Kelsey Shannon or Ibai Canales. You know, someone who delivers.

Hesitant to agree on Kelsey. He disappeared for months when Doug was needing him to color pages, and he canceled one of our projects without bothering to tell me.

I'm not big on Ibai's style but he does deliver.

In less than 10 hours Cecil's variant cover is 70 copies away from surpassing Vestige2. He'll probably have it by morning. Poor Gat.

The thing about Kelsey is news to me. Do you have any DMs or relevant streams we could parse through?
It wasnt that big of news. Basically he just ghosted everybody, and left Doug not knowing what was going on during BFB 1.

Then when he returned he was telling people on streams and on Twitter he was only working with Mitch now, despite me doing 3 drafts of our script.

Kelsey had only done a rough sketch of our cover anyways, but we had announced the book The Girl in the Woods/The Lady in the Woods (went back and forth on a title) and I was eager for him to do it.

Wow. Sorry you got fucked on two projects (actually, is that three at this point).

It certainly explains why Doug is working with a new colorist.

Yeah--Brutas, Ducktor Satan, The Lady in the Woods. It is what it is though--working on novels, nobody can interfere with me.
That's brutal man. "Once is an Accident, Twice is a Coincidence, Three Times is a Pattern."

I don't doubt that you were fucked over. We've all seen receipts and the people you accused refuse to show any proof to the contrary.

That being said, I think it would be good for you to be introspective about this. There is either something about the people you choose or the way they perceive you or perhaps both that keeps getting you into these jams. If you can figure out where you're going wrong perhaps you can find a way to collaborate in the future where you won't be left holding the bag for work you've done that went no where.

What we call Nazis (Hitler and co) believed in money and power, Jews were just a convenient scapegoat. A fuck lot of higher-up Nazis (for instance Himler) were jewish
The Nazis were socialists. They were just Bernie Sanders style socialists. He calls it "Democratic Socialism" but the Nazis rose to power democratically.

Regardless, the Nazi theft and corporate shenanigans were not because they were greedy. The focus on money was because Hitler and the boys were smart enough to realize they needed private sector help and stolen treasure to finance their shot at a Utopian thousand year Reich. Also, the idea that socialists don't believe in money and power is ridiculous. All they think about is taking other peoples money and having the power to reshape the world to their Utopian standards. And once in government the money and power corrupts them every single time.

There's a reason that Fidel Castro's personal fortune was hundreds of millions when he died.

“What they hate is the Germany which sets a dangerous example for them, this social Germany. It is the Germany of a social labor legislation which they already hated before the World War and which they still hate today. It is the Germany of social welfare, of social equality, of the elimination of class differences—this is what they hate! They hate this Germany which in the course of seven years has labored to afford its Volksgenossen a decent life. They hate this Germany which has eliminated unemployment, which, in spite of all their wealth, they have not been able to eliminate. This Germany which grants its laborers decent housing—this is what they hate because they have a feeling their own peoples could be ‘infected’ thereby. They hate this Germany of social legislation, this Germany which celebrates the first of May as the day of honest labor.”

Well played my nigga if Kwanzer comes across this post he'll be feeled with paranoia over the thought of one of his friends secretly being his enemy
It's not a set up if it's true though. He'd be surprised just how many of his perceived friends acquaintances at best. Or maybe not, as they have allies not friends, after all.
He also totally did read it the moment it was posted. He had a screengrab of his own inactive thread within minutes. He's here all the time.

I think it comes down to money. They all wanted more.

Donal wanted to do books without me, won't show me any accounting, wants it all to himself. Looked for the smallest reason to turn on me.

Peter Gilmore was coerced by tug and yf and was suddenly so concerned about money he didnt want to work with me unless I could give him $12,300, despite having believed in the book enough to do 24 pages out of 60 for free.

Kelsey and I were collabing, but here comes mitch with a steady check and so Kelsey has no reason to work with me--he never talked to me much about it, but always said publicly how great mitch is and blah blah blah and something about income. Kelsey even mentioned once that mitch bought him a computer.

Anyways...

Kelsey ignores most attempts at me trying to contact him about the book.

I finally got ahold of him on twitter, but he's under a fancy contract now and can't tell me what's going on.

He eventually responds once I quit comics, wants to hear all about it, then ignores my calls.

Last time we talked, he sent me a dm that looked really strange--reaches out out of nowhere hoping I'm still involved with brutas. Pretends to be nice, but never defends me publicly and went around saying "f*ck nasser"

That’s cagey as fuck. I get where Kelsey is coming from. Comics isn’t exactly a breadwinning career path, and you should always follow the money. That said, he could have at least kept to his obligations and finished the project. It’s not like he was quitting a steady job, it was a one-and-done book.

Yep. One and done, and we had already announced it and had already started doing some accounting (not a ton, mind you, but just trying to figure out a price point). We had discussed it over the phone and private hangouts. I really thought it was gonna be great but oh well--it could be a short story or something.

I get that these people fucked you Nasser. That's not my point. I mean "kick Nasser" was a meme for a while.

What I'm saying is that there is a reason 3 different artists decided to fuck YOU specifically. That's not just bad luck. That's a pattern of behavior or choices on your part that is inviting the treatment. Bullies pick their victims for a reason. Smart victims change the script and the bullying ends.

I hope you figure out how to change your behavior so guys like Kelsey don't think it's cool to make a deal with you and not honor it.

The answer could be as simple as having a contract, paying as pages are completed, asserting yourself differently or punching someone in the nose. I don't know That's for you to figure out.

The president and chief of IDW "steps down" after 14 years with the company. Could it have anything to do with massively declining sales numbers?

Anything that has to do with Mitch Breitweiser is sketch as fuck. Don't ever trust that dude. It sounds a lot like Kelsey took the money and ran and "fuck nasser" because you're just a dude without a Walmart deal.
NDA's are usually indicative of some deep rooted shenanigans. While not uncommon in comics they are usually reserved for bigger contracts with major IP's and cover things like plot points and storyline. Be careful with NDA's because it usually means SOMEONE [you] is about to get fucked.
Ethan probably has an NDA with Ritter about the plot and pages of Cyberfrog but he can still say what he's working on. To back out of a deal and cite an NDA as a reason not only points to Mitch being paranoid but to Kelsey being a guy you shouldn't have trusted to begin with.
He could have told you "hey I cant work on this project anymore because I'm making a deal with allegiance arts and it has an NDA plus its an exclusive contract, gotta go with money over friends, got bills to pay etc." He didn't because he doesn't respect you. He's only reaching out hoping you don't torch his ass like you did Donal. These shady mother fuckers hate getting exposed and will lie.

People are fucking you and see you as disposable for a reason Nasser. Something you're doing or not doing is leading these guys to treat you like shit. I know youre into novels now but if you ever decide to go with a publishing company they will treat you the same way.
Contracts are important. These guys chose written contracts over verbal ones and chose to ghost you instead of following through on a few weeks worth of work it would have taken to draw your comic.

Tl;Dr don't trust anyone even tangently related to Comicsgate. Comics people are NOT your friend no matter what they say. Good people in the industry are few and far between. SJW's and "non SJW" creators are the same. Have the same FYB attitude and will cancel you for the same reasons, to cover their own ass.

What he said.
In my limited experience of watching livestreams, you were sort of the mascot, the cute, young puppy that is dumb and adorable and everybody wanted to pet you - but people would take little effort to trust your talent or forgive you if you pissed on the carpet one too many times.

Could be a contract issue. In fact, that's most likely it. None of them wanted to be paid up front, they were all cool taking back end payments, so I never thought it was an issue. All of them liked the stories, were excited for the projects. But everyone goes where the money is, so that's most likely why Kelsey left--Mitch waves a check in front of him, so he just goes for that, since it's not a risk compared to us launching a campaign... but at the times, you know, I had a solid track record and Kelsey had a bunch of fans, so I'm sure it would've done well. Trixie did over $23,000, so I'm sure we would've been right around that number too, maybe even a little bit more, since it would have been 2 (at the time) CGers instead of me and an artist (I love Shawn, but) who didn't have a big following.

Yeah, Mitch is the sketchiest out of all of them probably. And you're exactly right, that's all Kelsey needed to say, is "Hey I'm sorry but I can't do the project anymore because I'm doing ___ with ___"

I'm not taken seriously (at least, I think) because they don't care for writers and because I had no list of Marvel or DC credits by my name (like the top CG artists), and because I didn't have some awful shtick that they saw as "important" like tug or yf crying on twitter and yt all day, which is somehow seen as heroic, or Cecil saying unfunny jokes all day somehow making him beloved (if anyone had his voice, anything they said would be deemed "funny"). I was just a dude who wanted to make comics, so they had no reason to care about what happened to me.

It doesn't help when you're known for happily sharing everyone's private conversations publicly. Why would anyone talk to you period?

They don't value writers work at all unless it's some doofus dumb fuck like Cecil or YBZ. Then they can't throw enough money at them.

Also notice no one is hiring Richard Meyer and he's the only one of the lot that actually respects writers in the sense he knows when to hire and pay one to make sure the story is good. In that sense I respect Richard, I just hate his stupid shtick of boomer dad targeted for no reason by SJW's when we know for a fact he has been an EVS harassment campaign oribiter for years and participated in the Alfie Norris hate campaign [likely how he knew Ethan to begin with] remember his infamous [I have an insider] comments ca. Late '17 early '18.

Comicsgrift has always been about artist worship in the same vein as people worship the lead singer of a band. Good art CAN but often doesn't save a horrible story, but a great story always saves the art. A well written book can have Tumblr artwork and it will still be a great work. The fallacy in CG and it's ultimate downfall will be that fewer and fewer people will want to work with these artists [see the Dynamite debacle].
Chuck Dixon refused to work with EVS, and when Ethan tried to hire Dave Sim his pedo past came back to haunt them. Writing is by far CG's biggest weakness and leads to the rise of actual retards like Micah and Liam.

I don't know how poorly Mitch's comic is selling in Walmart but he still refuses to do right by his IGG backers. Its ONLY about the money for comicsgate.
You [Nasser] were a patsy used to help sell the false hope that anyone can make comics. You were chosen in part because of your age, in part because of your race, but mostly because a lot of the paypigs in comicsgate could relate to you. An up and comer with no experience suddenly getting published and making thousands on comic books. The paypigs could live vicariously through you while spending obscene amounts of money on comics with the hope they could become LIKE you and also get their dream works published.

Search the comicshate hashtag and its full of people who started reading comics 6 months ago who suddenly think they will be able to get in the game. You are still used as an example to promote that lie.
CG is about lining Ethans pockets only, and paying off his sycophants. Any artist willing to lend their credibility to Ethan gets his crumbs after he's finished eating.
The simple truth is you quit being useful to them once they started making 200k on their crowdfunds. IBS faggots like yellow trash and cuck TUG took you out to keep Ethans hands clean.
They don't need to promote "the dream" you represented anymore because the cults of personality are entrenched and you ran your course as a "personality" on their shows. You had too much personal integrity for comicsgate, you weren't willing to sell your soul by putting on a mask like cecil and TUG.

It doesn't help when you're known for happily sharing everyone's private conversations publicly. Why would anyone talk to you period?
Why wouldn't he share the conversations? They tried to wreck his reputation long before he started dropping DM's. At least now we have a look into the inner workings of comicsgate and know what a backstabbing dishonest clusterfuck it always has been. He's proved Ethan a liar and given solid evidence that Ethan and TUG worked together on gay ops. His expose on Donal led directly to the discovery of the "wifes boyfriend" lmao and showed how CG doesn't honor deals. Its no different than the colorist for Vestige 2 being mad about getting screwed out of payment because Fat Gonzo our lil hayseed didn't like the work AFTER it was completed.
Nasser showed us exactly how little CG knows about producing comics and how poorly run their business model is. If anything we should thank him for confirming things that have long been speculated.

It doesn't help when you're known for happily sharing everyone's private conversations publicly. Why would anyone talk to you period?
Disingenuous. I did not do that back then. And so what if I do? After all they did to me, exposing it isn't a wrong thing to do.

And yeah, they only respect "writers" like Zack or Cecil, which is funny because Zack's work is trash, and the previews of Cash Grab were awful. Couldn't finish Iron Sights or Jawbreakers--Jawbreakers in fact was worse than 99% of SJW comics. How the hell were they STANDING ON THE BACK OF A GIANT GORILLA and nobody notices? You can see the grass in the previous pages--were trees growing out of the gorilla? If anything, they should've awoken it from its hibernation deep within the mountain. Cue the splash page of its fist breaking out of the ground, causing a giant earthquake. That would've been compelling.

And agreed--they tried to ruin my reputation countless times. Exposing them is not a wrong thing to do.
