Then the other side attacked and we were caught in the middle. I twas a no-win situation for us. So we thought it best just to remain silent. If nothing else, it exposed the seedy under belly of the comics industry so at least some good came out of this.

As for not needing the money, unless you know his billing expenses, we have no idea how much YaBoi has actually spent on this case, so to say he has enough money for a lawsuit, especially a purposely drawnout one is ridiculous

If I were Waid and had unlimited amounts of money I could stall it even longer.

First file for reconsideration of the current denial of the jurisdictional challenge.
Then file an interlocutory appeal of the jurisdictional challenge to the Fifth Circuit.
When that's denied because it's stupid as fuck, file for en banc reconsideration of the denial by the full court.
What that's denied because it's also stupid as fuck, we go back to the trial court. Or if we're real assholes file a petition for a writ of cert. to the Supreme Court. Which will be denied.
There we file a TCPA motion. The Fifth Circuit recently ruled that the TCPA doesn't apply in federal court in the Fifth Circuit in cases under Texas law.
So we argue this ruling was wrong and also that case doesn't apply to this one.
When the court denies that, we file for a motion to reconsider the denial.
Then file an interlocutory appeal of that denial to the Fifth Circuit.
Then file a motion for en banc reconsideration of that denial.
Then file a petition for cert. to the Supreme Court. That actually wouldn't be as frivolous as it sounds because there's a split between circuits on whether SLAPP-type statutes apply in federal court under what's called the Erie Doctrine and it would be possible to make highly technical arguments on the subject. It's even possible they might take it up because the circuits disagree, with the Fifth being one that says it doesn't.
There we have another two years of this bullshit and there would be absolutely nothing Meyer could do but soldier on through it and hope to get sanctions at the end for this frivolous garbage that by then would have eaten up four years without getting within a mile of the merits of the case.

I looked at twitter, and CG people are just incompetent. They just repeat "b-but we are not a hate group g-guys." There is a lot to throw back at King. In addition to calling him out for his work at CIA in middle east, they could call him out for other damaging stuff. How about Tom spending years Enabling Eddie Berganza, Cameron Stewart, and other people accused of harassment? Only thing he did was share a hollow pledge against abuse, but without actually condemning his buddies.
