I had no opinion about Tennapel until he tweeted this earlier, but now I'm thinking: "millionaire who's forgotten what it's like to be hungry"

A lot of the best comics artists to come out of the 80's started on awful books--none as well-known as Vampirella--but that was how you earned your way into the business, back when it was run like a business.

Is he slamming artists willing to take any job to get published, or is he slamming Dynamite because they bent the knee? The replies I saw seem to think his target is EVSCG. Either way, he's being a dick.

Those aren't household names. Even people that read comics a decade ago don't know who those dudes(?) are.

If you ask someone who made The Watchmen, they'll say Zack Snyder, and they'd be right.

Vagrant Queens can get a tv series, where's the Vampirella one?

Morrison and Moore have put out some bad shit like any other writer. Not every thing they touch turns to gold.

I think nobody is here claiming that Vampirella is high art or that all Morrison and Moore written stories are good. Only that there is nothing shameful in working on a book like Vampirella.

Yes and unless you have read the classic comics that I'm referring to you can't speak to their quality. (They're actually really good and they were published by Harris Comics in 90s).

Bendis (writes up to six monthly books for DC), Kelly Deconnick, (Aquaman and a black label project), Tom Taylor, (writes up to four books a month at DC), and Tom King, who took Batman from a book that sold six figures to one that struggled to break 80,000 in just two years, (writes four or more monthlies including Rosarch to own the gators).

DC deserves to get turned into an IP warehouse and these faggots should be eating cat food.

CG Jesus YBZ was also there, on the ground, shooting the Taliban too. Most of the CG guys are too patriotic to call out all the nasty shit that happened during the War on Terror (except for Sketch Therapy) and most SJWs probably do not know or don't care about politics from before twitter was a thing - and those who do won't call out an ally.

To be fair, Vampirella isn't a household name either, but in the field of comics they are. Heck, I'm not even a huge comics fan, and I can name some stuff that Alan Moore wrote.

I'm willing to bet Alan Moore has done more TV spots than Snyder. He always seems to show up as a talking head on TV when producers need to find a man-yeti to pontificate about comics, the supernatural, or anarchism.

Morrison got name checked in a gag in episode two of Doom Patrol, and by a ex-James Bond no less.

As for why Vampirella can't get a TV series, the franchise is still recovering from movie adaption....I mean man, Roger Daltrey, what were you thinking?

I'm going on a rolling yearly average. Superman up in the Sky, Strange Adventures, he's going to be doing Rosarch, and he routinely gets one shots and mini stories (Swamp Thing special, holiday special, 100 page anniversary book). Before that, Batman, Heroes in Crisis, Mr. Miracle. King does allot of his work in limited series and one shots. Easier to hide sales there.
